A big offer brought success at last.
“Without Friday, the weekend would be half over already.”

Phone rings!!! (Grrrggg Grrrrggg Grrrggg)
“Ade, don't tell me you are still brooding over the incident? When will you take off your mind over it and focus on the next thing? I want you over to my shop now and let's do this thing together.” (This was Ade's mother calling him after leaving him alone in the house. She noticed he has cried his eyes out and was left alone that morning when his mom went out to her shop.)
Ade was an ex Corper two years ago and also a graduate of a government University in the country where he studied Accounting. He served in the North and was wise enough to save part of the money being given every month to all Corpers. When he finished serving, things were hard for him as he couldn't get a job.
Thank God his parents were understanding and would always pray for him to get a good and stable job so he could help his parents too especially helping his two siblings in their education. He has been to different Job interviews but all were to no avail, but he never stopped searching as he believed he would get a job.
All the money he was able to gather was over #600,000 ($1090) and when he thought of going into a business, he thought of what he could be doing so he doesn't have to sit down at home instead of working at least to help the family.
Since he does not know any business, he couldn't think of any and he decided to seek advice from a friend he met while serving and they were still contacting each other since then.
He called his friend and was told to come around the next day so they could work on something which he would be doing.
“Hi Ade, how are you doing? It's been a long while since we have set eyes on each other except we do chat on Whatsapp.”
All Ade could say was a faint “I'm fine” and this made Kelvin confused and asked if all was fine.
“Don't you remember you said I should meet you concerning the business I told you about?”
“Oh! My bad! So sorry, please. Sincerely, I have forgotten because I have a lot on my mind these days and it's hard for me to remember something unless I am reminded.” (Kelvin said with a smiling face which he managed to put up.)
“Okay, so what's on your mind now? How much do you have for a start? What are you thinking of doing?”
“Just find something for me. As you are seeing me, I am blank. I don't have any business in mind but I think I have something to work on with the business...” In a silent tone, he mentioned the amount he has to start.
Kelvin was shocked and immediately sat him down as they started discussing different businesses to go into.
Finally, they settled on the Clothing business and Kelvin started analyzing things for him. Location, Capital to start with and other things to put into work so they could start the business.
This idea was satisfying to Ade as he hastened home to start working. He informed his parents of his new business idea and how he got Kelvin to help him out.
“How are you sure this friend can be trusted?” Ade's father asked curious about the friend.
“Dad, I know Kelvin for two years now and we have been together. I know him so well.”
“Okay if you say so, we can't decide for you. We are only going to encourage and support you in your new business. At least you want to start doing something which would fetch you money.” His dad calmly said.
After two months, things turned upside down for Ade. He had been duped and Kelvin was nowhere to be found with the money Ade gave to him to help him get some clothes and other things to start with.
For many days, Ade wasn't himself. He couldn't eat for days as his parents kept consoling him.
He remembered the question his Dad asked him two months ago about him trusting Kelvin enough to entrust his money to Kelvin. He only shakes his head. All access to get across to Kelvin proved abortive. Ade had to move on with his life as he started following his mom to her shop but on this day, he couldn't go as he kept remembering the incident.
Ade got up from his bed in the room as he got ready to meet his mom in the shop. When he got there, he met work on the ground and he started helping his mom to unload some goods she went to get from a company.
Two weeks later, Ade got a small work at a car wash. He quickly grabbed the opportunity even though it was a little money at the end of the month. He just had to go for it as he believed that little things lead to great achievement if one is focused and consistent.
He was responsible and acted as a good staff at the car wash and he was dedicated to the work until luck came to him through a woman who came to wash her car. Through their communication, the woman got to know Ade was a graduate, especially with the way he was speaking fluently.
“Will you leave this job if you got a good offer than this?” She asked Ade calmly as he was washing her car.
Ade looked surprised at the question and took him a few minutes to reply with “Yes ma, I will”
She brought a card from her bag and gave it to him. Take this card, give me a call tomorrow morning by 9 am
“Okay ma, he bowed his head to show an appreciation to her.”
Ade got home jubilating as he narrated what happened at his place of work. His parents and siblings were happy that they couldn't wait for the next day so he could give the woman a call.
Ade couldn't sleep as he was thinking of the incident at his work and kept looking at the wall clock in his room hoping for the next day to jump at his face.
At exactly 9 am the next day, he gave the woman a call and was told to come to the office immediately.
When he got there, there was a vacancy available for the post of a personal assistant. After checking through his certificate and CV, he got employed immediately with a huge amount of money as a salary.
A few months later, Ade became a manager through his hard work and things changed for him. He was able to help his siblings in their university education. He helped stock his mom's shop with a lot of goods and built a new house for them.
Ade remembered his past experiences and how he was duped by his friend but with focus and determination, he got a better offer than being a businessman.

Wow. Things worked out for good. We don't really have to judge people for we don't know that there will be plot twists for them.
