30 Days of Gratitude continues
"So long as the memory of certain beloved friends lives in my heart, I shall say that life is good".
I will be merging 4 topics in one post today as I am eager to talk about them. Today is another beautiful day and I believe all will be well. Did you guys notice we have shorter days and nights? I think I am the one who noticed it because for two days now, the day has been fast and before I know what is happening, the day is already gone and the same continues the next day.
A future event I am excited about
I am still thinking about the event but can't think of any except my NYSC which I am anxiously waiting for. I can't wait to put on those khaki clothes and be called Corper B. I can't wait to receive the monthly salary as I have been planning what to do with it. I won't share my plans with you ππ
I have been praying to God for the best and most peaceful state to be posted to as I wouldn't want to go to the north. Never and God will not allow it. The state on my mind though is Akwa Ibom State (The south-south part of Nigeria) as I was told those people there are very nice and friendly. They have this kind of treatment for corpers and he said I will enjoy my stay there. Another said I should pick Abuja but I am afraid because the cost of living and feeding there itself is expensive. Though I believe in what God will do as it is now, let me cut my coat according to my size.
For now, let me keep wishing the best while God takes charge of everything.
Some positive news I've gotten recently
Should I call it news? The school I graduated from began a strike yesterday and would last for a month and looking at it, the convocation ceremony would be postponed and that would allow me to earn more and save for the day. Clearing results is expensive in my school here and I need to gather more money to do that. Also, that would in one way delay my service too. With the news plus crypto being down, then it is good news to me because I don't want to touch any coins for now. I hope crypto will bounce back before calling off the strike.
Then another news I got yesterday was my Aunt with her children came back to Nigeria from the US for holiday with their father. I called to check on her last night and I got the info that she is around in Lagos at her husband's house. I thought something would drop in my account but I am not someone to ask for money unless they do it and if it gets tough, I wouldn't mind opening up to ask for help.
My favourite area in my home
That is my bedroom. Yes, I love being locked in my room and doing things with no distractions. I always want to be alone as I would concentrate on doing many things.
A memory that makes me smile
I have a lot of memories that make me smile but let me narrate this particular one. This was the memory I had with my friends in school. The memory of getting up early to go to school but only to disturb ourselves during lectures. Whenever I remember such a moment, I just smile thinking of how naughty and playful we have been especially when the lecturer is in class but we were never caught.
There are times we would cooperate and pay attention especially when the course is a tough one that needs to be given full attention so you don't fail when you are given assignment or test.
Memory that I do my assignment a day to submission. Whenever we are given the assignment to submit after a month or two weeks, I don't remember until my friend asks if I have done it. I would scream and start running up and down. Why did I remember this part?
We were given an assignment in church during workers training two weeks ago. I said to myself, it's been a long time since I have done an assignment and here comes another one. I forgot the assignment until I was taking my bath on the day of submission and I remembered.
There was no way to do it since I was running out of time for church. The assignment was asked but I begged for another chance to be submitted the next day. When I got home that evening, I quickly did it after making my meal.
That was when I reminisced back to those times of assignment. I just smiled.
