Those Names

I got this idea after reading @Chelle18 article about annoying names in their childhood days. I was smiling the whole time I'm reading it. It reminded me of those names me and my sisters used to call each other. Honestly, we still do. And we just laughed instead of getting annoyed.

We all have these annoying names, either our siblings gave them to us or some relatives just to annoy us or make fun of us. In my case, it is our Uncle's who named us such.

Tekla

Have you watched or heard the movie "Goryo and Tekla" starred by Maricel Soriano and Roderick Paulate? " It was an 80s comedy movie. My tita's husband named me Tekla after watching that movie. He said that he was reminded of me because of the talkativeness of "Tekla", lol!

I admit, I am so talkative like I always have a kwento everytime. I got annoyed at first. Sometimes I even cried every time they call me that. But later on, I get used to it. Although I am still annoyed but I no longer cry.

Kalbo

This is what I gave to my sister Kathy. When she was 13 years old, she suffered from severe allergy on her head that to her baldness. Her head was full of wounds that time, I didn't know what causes it but after some treatment, the wound dried up and her hair grew back.

But still, that didn't stop me from calling her kalbo or bald*evil smile. But the thing is, she was not annoyed every time I call her that and I end up getting annoyed instead, lol! By the way, my sister Kathy is also in noise.cash. Please do check her out. Her username is @Kquesea. 😉

Baluga

We gave this name to our youngest sister after she suffered from ear disease of what we called "luga"(pasintabi sa kumakain). She was 6 years old that time it happened. And we, as evil sisters called her Baluga to teased her and she would cry and go to our Lola.

Until now, we still call each other names when we had a chance to get together. Our youngest Kate is working in Philippine Air Force kasi while my sister Kathy lives in Bataan and soon will fly to Hongkong kaya very seldom lang na magkasamasama. So every time we had the chance, instead of our real names, we use them, the names, just to teased each other. And we will all have a good laugh. I remember one of my classmate asked me why I called Kate "Baluga" when she is faired complexion. I should be the one to be called Baluga daw because I am negrita. Ang bastos, hahaha!

I am smiling the whole time I was writing this. And I also miss my sisters. The last time we were together was 2018. And who knows when will it happen again.
