It was a usual day for us. The weather is gloomy. Slight to heavy rain early in the morning. My husband and I were talking about life over a cup of coffee. It is a usual routine for us. Then he suddenly told me a story about his childhood friends who almost died.
After our breakfast, he prepares for work, and then lunch came.
3 pm
He told me that we'll go to the market to buy our viand for dinner. I told him it was too early but he insisted that we should leave. So after we bought chicken and food for our dog, we headed home.
But as we were heading home, I noticed that the road we take is not the way towards home. I asked him where are we heading. He said that he would take me to a place I've never been to. I was surprised, of course, he is not usually like this. I mean he seldom takes me to places, he was more of a stay-at-home type of guy.
When he told me that he will take me to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Shrine, I get so excited. Indeed I have never been there, lol!
This part would be Taglish/ need ipahinga ang brain cells, lol!
As we were heading to our destination, ang bilis ng patakbo ni Husband. That is one of the reasons why I don't want to ride on a motorcycle with him. Parang nakikipagunahan sa kamatayan eh. Kaya panay kurot ako sa kanya kapag nagmamaneho sya.
The road to your death kung di ka maingat, lol! Naiinis na sa akin si husband kasi panay na kurot ko sa kanya. But in fairness, we arrived at our destination safely.
So eto na yun medyo hirap na part kasi as you can see, paakyat yung daan at rough road pa. Sabi ko kay husband na maglakad na lang kaya ako kasi baka di kayanin ng motor namin yun paakyat. Tawa ng tawa yun asawa ko, sabi nya huwag daw muna ako huminga,HAHAHAHA!
At last, we arrived safe and sound. Malayo pa lang, matatanaw mo na yun statue at maamaze ka talaga sa itsura nya.
Amazing isn't it? You can compare it to the statue of "Christ the Redeemer" in Brazil. I was in awe when I saw this. It is my first time seeing it. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to go near the statue because it is under construction. But next visit, I will surely do that.
Brief fact
The Sacred Heart of Jesus is a giant statue of Jesus Christ in Roxas, Capiz in the Philippines. The 132-foot (40 m) monument, said to be the tallest of its kind in the Philippines, was built in 2015 within the Pueblo de Panay mixed-use development.
The place has an overlooking view of the whole city. You can also see the ocean.
This can be a great spot for dating, right? Sadly, NO DATING ALLOWED because this is a SACRED PLACE.
I did not hesitate to take the chance na magpictorial, sa ganda ba naman ng place eh,lol!
After almost an hour of staying there eh umuwe na kami kasi sobrang init. Perfect time to go there is 5 pm onwards. But you should bring lamp kasi walang ilaw sa banda jan.
So we head back home, I feel so happy to have a QUICKIE with my husband. Hey, what I mean is QUICK TRIP, okay? You and your dirty mind, lol!
I hope you had fun with our quick trip because I had so much fun. I wonder where will my husband take me next?
