What Makes You Happy?

Happiness is relative because what might make me happy won't necessarily make another person happy. We all have our idea of what happiness looks like or what it constitutes. I've always had that hope of waking up being a millionaire hahaha not because I slept being broke anyway. I've heard people tell me they want to wake up a millionaire when they don't even have any investment or any money in their account. Money doesn't fall from the sky, even those who place a bet can tell you that. Since 2010, I can remember joking and telling people that I need **10,000,000 Naira** (**$20,000**). I told people back then that the money would make me happy. Trust me, I've not made that amount of money yet, since 2010. I believe I must have spent quite a lot if I am to add up all that I've ever done since then till now, but I haven't had that money in my account for my viewing pleasure 😂😂🤣. Does that mean I am unhappy since I said that money would make me happy? No. As we grow older, our priorities change. As we keep crossing one milestone, our desires and expectations change as well. Imagine a single lady telling you that she would be happy if she gets married. The moment she gets married, her priority would be on having children (if she is the type that wants children). The moment there is a delay in that department, she will say having a child will make her truly happy and the moment she gets that child, the expectation will change. We worry about too many things that we fail to understand what true happiness means. Being alive alone is a call for us to be happy. There are some that in their family, they don't cross a particular age before they die. For that person, the moment he moves past that age, you will know a big hurdle is out of his life but before then, anxiety would have set in and a lot he should have achieved would be kept on hold because he is uncertain about the future.

Who doesn't want to be happy with his or her finances? Don't get me wrong, I still want that **$20,000** but I won't stop living and being happy because I am not getting it yet. I've never been the type to believe that someone should just look at me and dash me that huge sum. Of course, it would be nice but then, knowing I did at least something in the right direction to make someone find me worthy of being given that would make me appreciate that money more than it just being handed over to me. We seek happiness everywhere as we go through life. Some feel happy with little things like adventure, falling in love, while some seek it when they win that big contract. They are both within their rights to feel happiness and fulfilment when they get what they set their mind on doing. Some feel happiness and fulfilment with family, material things and even in credit alert. Imagine waking up one day and you saw an upvote worth **$500** on a post you made the day before? I definitely know I would scream, jump and feel true happiness. So, I've tried never to judge anyone when they tell me this or that will make them happy. I help the way I can and of course, pray for them while wishing them the best. A lot of people are in abusive relationships and they feel so helpless in getting out. For someone like that, being free would mean happiness. Happiness is relative and it depends on every individual. Most of the time we seek happiness with things we can see and forget to dig deep inside of us. True happiness also comes from the inside. Know what makes you happy and drive yourself towards it. Be honest with yourself and go after the things your heart wants. Stop living your life chasing what isn't making you happy. Life is not forever so you have to make the most of what you have now and seek happiness. Giving makes me happy. I always feel fulfilled when someone goes to bed thankful to God for coming in contact with me. There is this joy it gives me and I can't describe it.

Most people don't understand that I don't struggle to know what to write due to getting inspired by a bunch of things around me. I might be clueless as to what to write before I start but the moment I get the topic out, everything else flows. I am considering writing twice daily but Rusty might get angry at me, so let me stick to my one post per day. Hahaha. Playing football and running makes me happy just as material things that comes as a gift can make me happy. There is a way credit alert changes your mood from 0 to 100 within a flash hahaha. It's the best mood changer since text message/mail was invented (depends on how you receive your bank notifications) A lot of things makes me happy and I can't begin to start highlighting them one after the other. I have mentioned earlier that what makes us happy can sometimes be by what we desire presently and for others, it might be what they want in the long run which might be a distant future from now. So, I ask you, what makes you happy or what will make you happy if you see it now or later? *Thank you for your time.*
