If anyone noticed, I've been trying my hands on Hive Open Mic as well which has been a way to put my voice to good use. I've not gotten there yet but I am well on my way. Music is about emotions, about feelings and this is why I love it because it is expressive. Music is really important and I see music as a way of healing not just to get a message across. Music is life and a lot of things appeal to me about music; the story behind it, the feelings it conveys, the lyrics and the beat. I shared these lovely tunes on Three Tune Tuesday and would love to share them with you all as well. I'm sure a lot of people would be familiar with the songs but I won't only be sharing three here, I'm sharing six which I believe most people would love. **1.** **Title of Song:** *"Dance With My Father"* **Artist:** *Luther Vandross* Video Link. https://youtu.be/wmDxJrggie8 Today is all about emotions and I want to share with you all this amazing song by Luther Vandross. It's my go-to song and my connection to my dad. I'm sorry but I can't get tired of talking about this song because the writer conveys my feelings perfectly on this one. It's a song that speaks about the void left behind by a departed loved one who happened to be his dad. How his mother cried herself to sleep hoping to have one more moment with his dad. I saw my mum struggle too in this regard when my dad passed away which made me love this song as it speaks my mind perfectly. This is the part that struck me the most: *"If I could get another chance* *Another walk, another dance with him* *I'd play a song that would never ever end* *How I'd love, love, love to dance with my father again, ooh"* (Lyrics from the author) That means a lot because he said he would play a song that would never end just so he can keep his father for a longer time. **2.** **Title of Song:** *"Somewhere Over The Rainbow"* **Artist:** *Israel Kamakawiwo'ole* Video Link. https://youtu.be/V1bFr2SWP1I This song signifies the importance of living life and enjoying the moment. It signals hope where we wish things would go just the way we planned. Some might link it that it's about losing a loved one but this song cuts across every aspect of life for those who dream, hope and anticipate the good things of life while living in the moment and stopped stressing over what's not. This song means a lot more to those who lost someone close to them as well but generally, it's a song about hope and life. I love this song, even more, when I learned about the life of the singer, popularly called "***IZ***" and how he also passed away. He was popularly called the hope or voice of the Hawaiian people and this song perfectly justified that. **3.** **Title of Song:** *"See You Again"* **Artist:** *Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth.* Video Link. https://youtu.be/RgKAFK5djSk I'm sure most people have watched "Fast and Furious" and for those who haven't... We have all been told to be strong but it's okay to let those emotions flow because they weren't supposed to make you bitter but better. This song holds so much meaning when you understand the value of friendship. Most people live for themselves...they live for what they stand to gain but when you find yourself a friend that is more like a family, you keep them close even in your memory as you allow those emotions and memories to sip from your veins. This song was done in honour of the ***Fast and Furious*** cast named ***Paul Walker*** who died in a ghastly accident. They have seen each other as a family in the fast and furious crew and this song perfectly expressed that bond, that togetherness, further stressing the importance of friendship that runs deeper than being co-workers. This song keeps alive the memory of ***Paul Walker*** and not only that, it gives deep meaning to friendship, telling us to create as many memories as we can as we journey through life. It further stresses the importance of "living". **4.** **Title of Song:** *"I Don't Want To Miss A Thing"* **Artist:** *Aerosmith.* Video Link. https://youtu.be/JkK8g6FMEXE I didn't know about this song until I watched the movie titled "***Armageddon***" in 1998. This song captured everything about that movie...and it captured my heart too. It's about cherishing every moment with your loved ones and not taking anything for granted. **5.** **Title of Song:** *"When A Man Loves A Woman"* **Artist:** *Percy Sledge.* Video Link. https://youtu.be/EYb84BDMbi0 I used to think this song was by ***Michael Bolton*** but I got to know that ***Percy Sledge*** owns it. He sang it first, as far back as the 1960s. It was inspired by a break-up he suffered. Now you can see that love has its ups and downs. **6.** **Title of Song**: *"I Will Always Love You"* **Artist**: *Dolly Parton.* Video Link. https://youtu.be/x0bEZH6ZqG4 A lot of people thought this song belonged to ***Whitney Houston*** but it isn't. I love and enjoyed Whitney's version of it because she made it her own and injected more life into it. It's a song about love and it was first used in the movie titled "***Bodyguard***" in 1992. ***Dolly Parton*** wrote this song in 1973, for her partner and mentor back then, called ***Porter Wagoner***. She wrote the song because she was separating professionally from him after seven years. These songs sure made childhood fun. I do most of my house chores using music to make me do them quickly. I can't read without listening to Music. I enjoy music when I use earphones

I have not listened to any of the songs you have mentioned, but I've got so many songs that made my childhood especially country music. My dad made me love this type of music while growing up. My favorite is - Waiting for Spring - BW Stevenson. Everything about this song is just so lovely.

Music is lifer for me. By the way, it is so weird that I cannot see photos on my hive ecency app and it is always like this everytime I open it. Do you have any idea about it Olasquare?
Really? It doesn't show? I use both the Hive blog and Ecency and my pictures show fine. Have you updated the app? Or you used the web version of Ecency? If it's the app, update it and you can use the web version of Ecency to upload too. Make sure the file size isn't too large for the picture you want to use.
I don't really think I have once listen to any of these songs either, but I love music very much. Music normally change my mode a lot.

Am pretty sure Wiz Khalifa appeared in the fast and furious sequel but Charlie Puth did not, but he gave those lyrics like he was with them throughout the whole series and that is what it means for me for music to have emotions and speak to the audience, as a big-time fan of the fast and furious sequel I will say that anytime the song comes up on my phone I follow the lyrics from the beginning to the end and just filled up with emotions. You love the song Dance with my father, you do miss your dad then, for me I think like my elder brothers and sisters don't miss our dad because they go on with their normal everything and I feel like am the only one constantly thinking about him like crazy. I miss my dad too.
I agree, Wiz Khalifa felt that song so deeply and came out with a masterpiece. That song would always mean so much. Love the lyrics too. I think your brothers and sisters miss him too. They are just trying to act strong and push through. I am the one always remembering my late dad and mum's birthday and death anniversary too but I know they miss them too but sometimes you know, we need to accept the things we can't change. I feel they are only trying to act strong since there is nothing else they can do.
I have come to enjoy music more now, especially hive open mic and music community that has gingered me to always listen to good music. Music is healing and one is inspired through good music

I love this song so much, it reminds me that the troubles we go through wouldn't last forever, that someday life will take us to the place that is much better than where we are. A place where everything will just be okay. Almost everything that patented to life revolves around music. Personally music is one of my medications each time I am down.

"Somewhere over the rainbow" looked familiar to me and when I played the video, I realised it's a song I heard in a movie I watched years back (I think it's a Disney movie). I didn't actually know who sang it but I loved the song back when I heard it
