Justice Should Be Served.

When you think about this world, you can't help but cry sometimes. It's a crazy world we live in and people just don't care. Most people just do whatever they like because it looks good to them. There is no sense you can make out of this madness that most people display. Most people want to exercise their power, frustrate others and make them know that they can get away with things and that's the kind of example being modelled by our so-called leaders which some rich and influential people in the country has now adopted.

Nothing makes that much sense no matter how we want to twist it. How do you explain children hurting a fellow child? Who taught them how to be evil? Who explained the ways of wickedness to them? How did we get to this point? How did the world adopt hatred, bitterness and anger as a way of communicating over love, care, tolerance and understanding that should be borne out of respect for one another?

We live in a country that has zero regards for human lives and most of the citizens have adopted this pattern and now the government won't even do anything about it because, let's face it, it's their trademark after all. If evil is perpetrated by the wealthy, they turn a blind eye but when it is done by those with no means and substance, they want to uphold the law. They would say they want to make a lesson out of it for others and yet they keep turning blind eyes to what their mates are doing.

There are many things we always sweep under the rug in this country. Even the politicians know and they know that over time, everyone would forget and nobody would be held accountable for anything. Where is the standard? Where is democracy? Where is the rule of law? Where is equality? Where is humanity? Where is the love? What can be expected of a country whose president left his seat to travel abroad to settle disputes when his citizens are getting killed... touché.

Nothing should surprise me again but still, I always get surprised with how things are done in this country. Imagine a mother, feeling completely safe and confident in sending her 12-year-old son to a boarding school and yet she was failed by the system who killed her son! He lost his life in a place that should have protected him...a 12-year-old for God's sake!

I gathered that this 12-year-old was bullied by 3 seniors who wanted him in their cult group. Imagine, a secondary school with a cult group? What has this world turned into??? The young boy refused the request from these older seniors and they had to bully him, give him a deadly substance to drink and the boy died.

The school isn't even taking responsibility because it's obvious that the parents of these killers must have a stake in that school and I believe the school was the one who hinted the parents because as at the time the news got to the media, the three children had been flown outside the country as a way of averting justice.

That school have failed and should be stopped from operating. I heard they are sticking with online classes now and as much as I know the children education are at stake, that school should be closed down permanently, never to operate again. Yes, they have been closed down now but we are in Nigeria after months now things would quieten and business would resume as usual.

The housemaster of that boy should be arrested as well. You are being paid to do your job and you completely failed at that. He couldn't notice the changes and things about the boy? Teachers are meant to be extra sensitive and that's why they are one of the most respected in the profession. This is what you get when you employ people by connection rather than those who actually deserve to get the job.

I am also hurt for the parents because it shows a bit of disconnect between their child and them. I won't blame them because they are hurting at this time for losing a child they have watched grow for 12 years but a child should be able to reach out to the parents and tell them what is going on. This is why parents need to build relationships with their ward. It's not just about sending them to the best of schools or making enough money to take care of them but it is about hearing their concerns, listening to their worries and fear while also fanning their desires into flame. I feel hurt because the death of this young 12 year old could have been avoided if all the parties involved do their part.

I really hope these children are caught and as young as they are, they should be dealt with by the law because if they scale through this without being punished, this is how they would grow to be dead to their conscience and do even more of these terrible acts.

I hope the country won't sleep on this and I hope the parents drag this with the law so that justice can be served. No one should lose a child that way, not when he should have been in a safe place like school. It's shameful and it hurts. I pray God gives the parents the strength to soldier on...it's not an easy experience and they are scathed for life with this...

Well written and extremely dead on with the summation of what is going on today, unfortunately. The parents were trusting that these people were doing right and taking care of their children. But no one saw this coming, and probably should have, had they known about it. There are a lot of kids who go off and do things in secret, away from "the eyes of the admins." And yes, there are many administrations that couldn't care less about the students because they can go home and sleep at night. This post was obtained through Dreemport.

That's so true and the whole situation is messy and seeing the pain that boy went through, it was sad because it could have been prevented.

Really glad to have you here. Means a lot. Thank you.

Man. It’s a sad story man. I saw the video, this young brilliant boy died in pains. He definitely spent the last of his life in pain. Real pain man. Those boys had intent of killing him there is no doubt about that. Because if they just wanted to deal with him they won’t have injured him so badly. They even put some kind of substance in his mouth. The school should be held responsible

But you know Nigeria and how they slow down the clock of justice especially when the perpetrators are wealthy

That's what annoyed me the most. The school failed in their first duty which is to protect and provide a safe environment for learning. They should be closed down permanently and the parents of those boys held responsible since they flew them out of the country already.

The story of sylvester is really a touching one. The life of a young boy who wanted to be a pilot as caught short abruptly. Bullying is something that is very common in boarding schools. I never attended a boarding school and would never allow my kids as well. Boarding schools have now become a breedding ground for all forms of notoriety. Imagine children less than 15years being cultists. What is more surprising is that these kids are from rich background and the school is an elite school. I have always thought that it is the children from the ghettos and slums that engage in such vices since they say poverty is the root of all evils.

The love of money is the root of all evil, so it follows that these kids are learning from their parents. Their parents are their examples.

Brilliant comment and analysis. Absolutely, it's a shame on the parents too because they are obviously spoilt. I pray they are all found and regardless of their ages, they must be punished...severely.

Seriously, I am pained and just as you have said, let me not blame the parent again because they are already mourning.

My prayer is for those killers to get caught. Like, what the hell? Because there's money, you flew them abroad just to escape from being punished. God will surely catch them. They should get what they deserved and also teach other children like them too.

If they aren't caught, let their families be arrested until they are provided. This is injustice mehn 😔😔

I don't know if I'm the only one who think that "justice is for those wealthy". Usually justice is served unfairly, when you don't have money to find the culprit or to get the justice then there's no improvement with the incident.

That's right. They change the rules depending on the influence you have. It's pathetic.

Yes I agree with you, we are experiencing an unfair life now. We must follow the rule of law because I know it can help us to know the truth and also the children nowadays were affected by this. There are still a chances to do what is right, justice must be an actions towards lies.

Eh, fimida is blind. What you said exists and in our schools it is called bullying or bullying. I also shoot all this on my phones and post it on the Internet to get my “cherished like.” Of course, justice must prevail if the parents of this deceased boy want to achieve this and bring this matter to the end.

They have to pursue it for the sake of others. It won't bring back their boy but they can at least know they tried to bring the killers to the books.

This is how they start it, by the time they get to the university they have become strong in cultism. It's really a painful thing for a promising boy to die like that. The school owner must produce those responsible for this terrible thing, if they can't get the boys their parents should be held responsible.

I totally agree with you... The owner of the school with the parents should be held responsible. I am really sad that boy died that way.

That's just how things are, we forget so easily then we will still repeat the same mistake, I believe that the reason the child didn't tell his parents about it it's because they must threaten him or his family.

This act is just too sad to imagine and justice needs to be served coz anyone who can do this to a fellow is a beast in human clothing… I felt so emotional when I got to read about the attack, it’s spreading now I’m sure this matter will get to its roots..

I pray for comfort on the family… 😔
