You are probably wondering if the title is correct or maybe if I have gone crazy.
Well, yes, the title is correct because we will be talking about the "benefits of laziness" and why you should be lazy in today's article;
Even though I have said before that it isn't good to be lazy, I have come to find out that even laziness has its benefits; everything in this world has its advantages and disadvantages, so why don't we look at the advantages of laziness.
Note: Laziness can be good sometimes but don't let it overcome you; as the old saying goes, "Too much of everything is bad." Learn to control it., don't let it control you because it would be hard to break out of when it becomes a habit. With that, let me begin the article.
Most cultures have negative thoughts about laziness because, over the years, people have perceived laziness to mean unproductivity or futility. Many of these are backed up by experiences and research,
but you have to ask yourself this. What are the benefits of laziness?
Many names identify a lazy person, such as slacker, couch potato, or bum. Laziness is a harmful coping mechanism in depression and anxiety, but it is far more common beyond these medical disorders.
Everybody can be lazy; even the most hardworking and perfect person can sometimes be a slouch because we are all humans, sometimes needing to relax. Have you ever asked yourself this
the question, if laziness is so bad, then why is it so prevalent in our life?
The world and nature seem to have optimized our biological process to embrace laziness. Most animals spend most of their time doing absolutely nothing because animals have free time; the most highly efficient predators may appear lazier than relatively unfruitful predators.
Laziness is said to be the other side of a productivity coin. It shows a sign of unproductivity and inefficiency; it can come from intelligent work freeing up time for well-deserved idleness.
Furthermore, it can be the trigger for intelligent work in and of itself.
Laziness can be beneficial; from wellness to efficiency, being lazy can sometimes lead to a healthier, more relaxed life without stress or worries. Maybe you should think of changing your attitude towards laziness
Well, without further ado, let me list some of the benefits of laziness that I know of. Let's start.
Laziness reduces Burnout: If you have read my previous article, you will understand what I mean when I say burnout. Laziness helps us regain control over our body and mind; by taking consistent breaks from activities, we permit our body and mind to regain the energy they lost; this reduces the chances of burnout.
Laziness helps us focus on high-leverage activities: When you are lazy, you learn to manage your energy expenditure carefully; this means you will be unwilling to do unnecessary tasks. Instead of doing the unnecessary, you are more likely to give more effort to high-leverage activities.
Unproductivity helps manage stress: Procrastination can be wrong sometimes, but it can come in handy when you want to relieve stress; this is one of the primary reasons why adults always tend to have higher stress levels than teenagers; teenagers are more likely to procrastinate away from work than adults because this benefits their mental health and they tend to utilize it.
Lazy solutions are innovative: Frank Gilbreth once said, "I choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it." -Frank Gilbreth When you look at all our electronic items, you will find out that all of them were made to make our lives easier, from the Tv remote to the dishwasher, they were all made, so we don't have to stress ourself. It is said that necessity makes innovation, but laziness is a solid motherly figure of innovation when you genuinely look at it.
Laziness helps recharge our energy stores: Sometimes, we confuse rest and idleness with laziness, but in a sense, we tend to be more pessimistic about laziness. But both rest and laziness have positive effects; there is research showing that taking a nap during the daytime or just taking consistent breaks helps lower your blood pressure, and your chances of getting burnout are reduced.
Laziness helps our mental health: Slacking sometimes is beneficial to our mental health, even if keeping helps us ward away evil and disturbing thoughts and emotions. But if you resort to manic-style conduct, you will be able to suppress your feelings and thoughts better.
The benefits of laziness are that if I keep on typing, you would never leave this page. I think I have said enough for this topic but remember that all things with advantages also have disadvantages. It all depends on you.
Please don't be lazy and waste your life, instead be tactfully lazy; I mean, be lazy in ways that benefit you and the world. You can think of inventions that would help relieve stress, just like the remote
There are always two sides to a coin. Laziness has its advantages and disadvantages as well.
