Ever felt demotivated? Unhappy and unproductive? Why do we feel the tose emotions so often these days? Why does being sad, unproductive, worried and demotivated has been our default feeling? Is it because of the pandemic? The fact that we are stuck for months now and can do just minimal movements and prohibits us from doing great things and achieving our dreams is suffocating.
I thought it would be okay to slow down a bit and take a rest for us all to get ready to take big leaps. But 'till now, we are just having small steps. But, that's okay small steps and small progress is still progress.
I have been thinking about what if's and played different scenarios in my head, you know, when we feel like we are unproductive that's when we overthink the most.

1. Roof said: Aim high
From the moment that we wake up, the first thing we can see is the roof or the ceiling, that is if your sleeping flat on your back. Regardless of your sleeping position, the moment you wake up is the time you get to decide for yourself 'how do you want your day to be?'. It's the time to set your mantra for the day so make sure you got to choose a great headstart.
2. Fan said: Be cool
Now, we get up from the bed with our aims tuned up high. But we won't be pressured, we won't be stressed instead we will play it cool. We hustle and work for our aims but we do it gracefully. We don't just work and panic, we work and in case we panic, we will panic gracefully.
3. Clock said: every minute is precious
Though we promised we're gonna keep it cool, we'll still see to it that every minute counts. Not working hard but working smart and ensuring there is balance between work and play, friends and family.
4. Mirror said: Reflect before you act
Part of working smart is thinking smart. We make sure we have thought about our plans many times before making decisions. Wise decision-making often leads to success and opens door to brand new opportunities.
5. Window said: See the world
While we are working smart, stepping towards the achievement of our goals and balancing life and work, we will never forget to see the world. Seeing the world doesn't only mean travelling around places and discovering new dishes. It also talks about seeing the world from the eyes of the less-fortunate, from the eyes of the kids, from the eyes of the sick and dying and from the eyes of different people from all walks of life. Only then that we can understand and learn how to be compassionate and see the world through a different lense.
6. Calendar said: Be up-to-date
Time is fleeting and technology is booming. Of course, we wanted to be updated with the latest trend and development in the society for us to know how are we gonna keep up and how are we gonna deal with other people. We all have FOMO (fear of missing out) so let's keep updated.
7. Door said: Push hard to achieve your goals.
Sometimes, when we get tired of playing cool and working smart, then our confidence runs dry. The best thing to do is to push yourself hard. There will be no other people to help you but yourself. Sure, you will hear words that will cheer you and motivate you but it is still your choice and decision to move and continue.

I sometimes feel demotivated when I do not see any progress with what I do. I still try to be positive in what I do but sometimes things will really weigh you down. And the truth is, instead of pushing forward, we tend to slack off. That is why we really have to condition our minds so that we can overcome those negative thoughts. ๐
