Oh What a Day, Bohol! Fires and Bridges!
There are just bad days but it is unfortunate when you are one of those who had been badly affected, most especially when a life is taken away. Today, there is at least two bad news I received from my family back in Bohol.
This morning, a house just three minutes' drive away from ours had been eaten by fire. According to the sources, the fire started from an electric wire, and then it didn't take long before the house was taken over by the fire.

It's sad to see the house burnt down. My brother said the firetrucks coming from the neighboring towns were late as the house was already burnt before the fire was stopped.
Anyway, that was in the morning. Then by the afternoon, another sad news came. The old bridge of Loay, the Clarin Bridge had fallen down. The worse thing is that there were cars in it and the cars, of course, fell too into the water.

There's already a new bridge being constructed just next to the old bridge. It's been a while since we pass by this bridge and we always wonder why the bridge is still not completed because the old one really looks weak already.
Now that the old bridge had fallen, lives had been taken too and as of the moment, there were already 4 dead bodies recovered. It's just a bad day for Bohol.
On the other hand, it's the inauguration of the Cebu Cordova Link Express which is a big event in Cebu and Cordova or Lapu-Lapu island. Today is also the 500th anniversary of Lapulapu's victory against foreign influence during the Battle of Mactan, and this date was chosen for the inauguration.
I am excited to be passing by the bridge soon. The fees would be Php 90 for cars while Php 50 for motorcycles. Bikers and those who would like to walk can pass by for free.
On Sunday, we went to Il Corso for the CCLEX RFID installation. This was free and we set up the 2 PM to 3 PM appointment but it was actually very fast! They advised making sure that the RFID sticker will not get wet for 24 hours.
So I guess we will now be able to get to the toll gate soon and share with you the view and the experience.
We are just watching the inauguration, it's live on Facebook, President Duterte is giving his speech and I kept on laughing at the things he's talking about especially about Lapu-Lapu and Magellan, from Limasawa to Mactan.
Before the end of the day, we also get to fly Matti's kite. He has been asking for it for the past weeks. We bought two in SM Seaside but it seems like there's an issue with the kite as it won't fly high.
Anyway, it was still fun running around holding the kite while Matti follows me or his papa. We had been flying that kite for three days already every afternoon.
Today was another day and we were out to walk for a few minutes and then we went home before six in the evening.
Upon reaching home, I went and cooked dinner. I decided not to cook rice because we ran out of it. I cooked marble potatoes instead with butter, garlic, and parsley. And I also roasted half a kilo of chicken wings. I was not sure if it would taste good but it ended up well and tasty.
My husband loved it and my baby also ate some, he asked for chocolates though so I just gave in. I just make sure that he would eat chicken and potatoes before he eat the chocolate but good thing he said no after having his second bite.
Now, I received great news because I am going to set up a contest in Appics. I received a thumbs up from the angels of Appics and they'll sponsor the prizes for the contest. I am excited and at the same time scared because I placed a note there that a user can post two entries and it will be open to all users not just to those who are in the Philippines. I might not be able to trace all the entries but I will be asking for help from the other ambassadors as well.
If you are in Appics, please do watch out for the contest which I will be posting today before the night ends.
