My Favorites of You and Me

The first instalment of this series had been a hit as a lot of you appreciated the many photographs which I had shared. It is true that we are both travel enthusiasts, but aside from that, we also share the same love for photography. Travel and photography must go in hand and so as we went traveling, we also developed the need to accumulate gears and other equipment related to photography, thus, in this article, you'll find out that our photographs are becoming more interesting.

Let's get the images rolling!

Sunrise at Cadapdapan Rice Terraces

There are magical moments in every day. We just have to take time to see them.

Back when we were younger, with a lot of time in our hands and energy too, we wake up very early to catch morning sunshine. One of our goals was to get a photo of us together looking at the sunrise.

We only were able to get a perfect shot when we visited Cadapdapan Rice Terraces in Candijay, Bohol. The sun rays peaked through the clouds and the coconut trees, with my brother's help, we got this shot.

At this point in our lives, I am not sure if we could still redo this.

Unplanned Hike

While I am a person who loves to plan all things out, I was caught off-guard when we went to Balamban, Cebu, and went for an unplanned hike to Mount Manunggal, the spot where the late President Magsaysay's plane crash site is located.

We came unprepared for the hike but it was not that hard so we managed to reach the peak. The beauty of the hills in the background and the form of the rocks at the peak was enough to convince us that it was a good idea to agree on the tour guide's suggestion.

There's also a camping area and if we had just brought extra clothes and food, we'd also be staying there overnight. But that's for another time instead.

The Bird's Nest at Mount Kitanglad

We reached Bukidnon's Mount Kitanglad out of curiosity, getting there was a challenge but then again, we were young and adventurous at that time.

Staying overnight in this forest under the earth, like literally because we booked a hobbit house which was still unfinished but the owner (shoutout to Sir Ben) accommodated us and allowed it even if it was still not fully functional.

The hobbit house's roof was made of soil, it was literally, a house formed from a dugout so its rooftop was all soil padded with some wood to make it sturdy.

One of the best things during that trip was witnessing the sunrise while I was on an infinity swing.

The Mt. Kitanglad Agro Eco Farm today has improved their hobbit houses. The room which we stayed in is equipped with many amenities and staying overnight for sure is a better experience than what we had way back when we stayed there.

Aside from the hobbit houses, the farm also has other things to explore such as the forest itself. The owner told us that there's a Monkey Eating Eagle here, he spotted it before and took photographs of the said bird.

The Dahilayan Ridges

Perhaps this was the only drone shot that we had taken with each other. I guess we need to do more of these types of shots, especially that we had finally purchased a new drone after my husband crashed both our DJI Mavic Air and DJI Spark.

This time, we got ourselves a new DJI Mini 2. I know I have told him not to buy a drone anymore because he had consecutively crashed both of the old drones in seawater but then, I miss seeing drone shots and it is just different having a view from the top.

So yeah, we had been to Dahilayan and on the way to Dahilayan Adventure Park, we spotted this long road with no one else but us at an early morning plus the view of the mountain ridges in the background is just amazing that we stopped and took some drone shots of the area.

Faking a Laugh at Sonnenberg Mountain View Davao

Reminiscing our time in BUDA or Bukidnon-Davao Road, I could feel the cold drops of the rain and the dark muddy streets as we were on our way to Sonnenberg Mountain View Resort, hoping that there would be a sea of clouds view once we get there.

But deep inside, we knew for a fact that there won't be a sunrise view because it was all raining the entire night but still, we pushed through. So upon realizing that there's no sunrise and there's also little to no sea of clouds, only fog and mist I guess, we just enjoyed the view of the mountains and took a lot of photos together.

Vita Isola - The Island Life

With you is the new adventure.

A newly opened resort in Loon, Bohol. I tagged my parents and brother with us as we check out this resort in which the name suggests island life. There were no people around, just us and we had a sumptuous lunch over the beautiful view of the sea and the coconut trees.

The resort offers a garden tour too of their organic garden and a lot of amenities to enjoy such as fishing. Their food is the best as well although they are on the expensive side.

A True Friend at Dalaguete

If you have nothing in life but a good friend, you're rich!
- Michelle Kwan

We had a great trip to Dalaguete with our trusty Aerox motorcycle. Before getting pregnant, we only stroll around Cebu City and the entire Cebu province with our motorcycle.

From Cebu City, we drove for two hours to reach Dalaguete, and then by early morning the next day, we headed to the famous Osmeña Peak. Since we didn't bring any tripod with us, we didn't have any photos of us at the peak, instead, we looked for a place where we could just place our camera on the ground. We were heading back to the highway when we found this spot here.

I'll post the third part of this installation and this time, we head to our international travels. Stay tuned!
