Gloomy, Sprinkling Birthday Celebrations
Today, my niece celebrates her 12th birthday. Time flies so fast, I could still remember her being a very little curly baby girl. My first niece who was very witty, intelligent, and sometimes naughty. Back when she was still a little girl, her favorite song was Elsa's Let it Go, she would sing her heart out, we were always surprised by how she was super talkative.
But now that she's 12, she's starting to become a lady, she is not her very talkative self anymore, most of the time, she'd prefer to be by herself, on her iPad. But she loves to still go out with us as well.
What's so cool about it is that her birthday is February 10, 2010 and her younger brother's birthday is February 16, 2016. Can you see the pattern? Every year since they came back from Dubai, we would celebrate it together with the whole family. This time, we went to Anda Pearl.
Our initial plan is to be at the resort as early as eight in the morning but then we woke up with the weather being not so nice, it has been raining since yesterday and so we thought, perhaps we should just postpone the celebration, we already ordered food and cakes so we could just eat that in the house. But by an hour after, the skies showed us some light. The rain stopped and it showed some hope that we could still go out today and so we did, like fast, we have to be out to the resort. But, of course, we have to wait for the food and the cake. The food wasn't ready until 10:30 AM and the cakes too so it was cool, we had to just be patient.
Thankfully, Anda Pearl Premier Resort allows food without corkage fees. They are having a promo until the 15th of this month. We also saved for the entrance fees. I might talk about the resort in the next articles. Today, let me share with you how the day went.
The location is not too far from our house though, it only took around ten minutes drive. It was located in a familiar place and we all wondered why it took us this long before we visited Anda Pearl! This is such a nice place!
After logging in our names, we were showed to our table. There were chairs provided too! The staff were very friendly, they helped us bring our food towards the table, we opted the one facing the beach.
It was almost lunch time so we decided to eat first before we could swim and enjoy the resort. There were only a few guests which was good. The food we ordered was placed in a bamboo tray, huge one by the way, it costs Php 5900+, this is usually referred as a Lechon Belly Food package, it includes a five kilo lechon belly, the highlight of the package, then there were lumpia shanghai, bola bola, pork ribs, pancit, chicken cordon bleu, and shrimps.
And the cake, I ordered them the previous day, I am glad that Sticky Buns catered my request of a money red velvet cake for Achi Zaila and a Chocolate Ganache for Kuya Seth.
Of course, Zaila was surprised with the money cake, I only gave Php 2k, I hope they added more Php 20 bills though but that's fine, I realized, the Php 20 is now a coin so that's understandable.
Here's Zaila while pulling the money from the cake, I posted it in my Facebook story:
We have to make a double celebration for the two of them instead of celebrating again in the next days. So it was time to eat after the money cake pull. We all love the food, my favorite were the ribs, I didn't get to eat the lechon belly but they said it was good too!
Then, it was time for some swimming! Boy, the beach was so inviting, although the weather was not that perfect and the water was cold, I enjoyed it together with Matti. Unfortunately, hubby was left at home because he had some important things to finish for work.
We also went swimming at the pool. The resort has a lot of pools in a rice terraces type having the bottom as an infinite pool. I like the idea but there was no specific spot for kids to freely walk around so they aren't the most kid-friendly kind of pool. I wish the first one on the left was made for kids but it has a cliff part. It could have been perfect.
After all the swimming, we went back again and ate. Swimming made us all hungry. Then we headed to the beach and again enjoyed the water, I made my niece into a mermaid too!
The sand was fine but there were dead seaweeds all over the place. Some staffs were cleaning it up but there were just too many. The water was clear though and I love it.
I took some photos and videos of the place too for blogging purposes but I wish we have a better camera, I just used my mobile phone. I thought we must go back when the weather is nice and by that time, the husband must come along.
Sometimes, the rain comes and then goes away, we were all happy to be out here, we had some more time to eat again, yes it was a day of just eating and eating but we didn't get to finish everything. We also bought a few flavored beer because it was cold. The kids of course didn't mind the cold, they were all about swimming and playing.
Anda Pearl Premier Resort is actually a good place to spend time with the family, except for the pool, everything looked good especially the beach. Surely, we will come back soon.
We decided to go home by around 4:30 PM. We arrived home safely, and we were surprised! Our electricity is back! Woot woot! What a great day!
