What? Just two more sleep and it's July already? This month is quite special to me because it's my baby's birth month! He will turn one year soon and I am just overwhelmed with so many things to do. Personally, I don't want a celebration where we have to spend money and get people to eat. I am more on the adventure, memory keeping one like going out to somewhere - beach or mountain. But this month as well, we are planning to go to Cebu and visit the in-laws.
Matti has a cousin who's just one week older than him. Her name is Zia and she'll be turning one year old on the 18th while Matti will turn one year on the 25th. Oh, it is indeed true that the night might be long but the years are short! I can't believe it's been one year since I gave birth to this 4.5 kilos baby!
Anyway, this blog is all about my new bullet journal layout spread - July 2021! At first, I thought I must look up some inspiration because I was not in the mood to get it done today. Indeed, after scrolling through social media, I got energized and when my baby went for a nap in the morning, I headed to my desk, turned on the overhead lights as well as my camera, I am using a Lumix camera for my art as it has been set up by my husband already, all I have to do is to turn it on. Sometimes, I need to take the battery out and replace it with another one.
Let's dive into the spread now!
Month Name and Quote
Again, there was no specific plan for this month, all I wanted was to have a simple layout, one which doesn't require too much time, I have to avoid doodles as it takes time to finish, I also have to avoid using too many pens. So, in that case, stickers were the way to go! Washi tapes were not even in the option for now although that counts as stickers I am referring to the flat stickers. I have a few on my storage so I know that I can create a layout using them.
I started by scanning through the sticker collection. I have a lot of stickers sitting inside my organizers. They have been stored for two years now or more, I can't remember. Checking on them again made me realize what a waste if I won't be using them.
I checked that I have a lot of cat stickers and so I placed them in the side to signify that I will need that and use it for this July's BUJO.
After selecting a few stickers, I then went on and created the quote page. I didn't have the luxury of time for typography so I just use modern calligraphy instead for a quote that has been hanging on my IKEA pegboard.
"Art is not just a self-expression, it is an offering."
This is a quote from Makoto Fujimura, an artist, a speaker, and the author of Refractions: A Journey of Faith, Art, and Culture. I have seen his documentary before and this quote struck me. Indeed, we have to offer our talents and skills to the one who had given them to us graciously.
Then I proceed with the next page, added a few stickers in pastel color and then I also wrote the month's name together with a preview of the whole month.
I kept it that way and just proceed with the next page.
Habit Tracker, Praise Report, and Prayer Requests
As always, this page is present for my journal. I still track the same kinds of habits - Bible reading, youtube, video editing, and vitamins. For the past months, I have been missing out on drinking vitamins, this month, I am trying hard to keep up and make sure that I won't be missing out any day for July.
As for the other page, praise report, and prayer requests, I will continue to have this because it helps a lot with tracking down the things that I needed to pray especially if someone asks me to pray for them.
Recipes and Blogpost List
Before I have Matti's meal plan and cash flow in this section but this month, I have decided to change that instead of into recipes that I want to try out as well as the blogpost list.
Why recipes? Well, because I have been cooking for Matti's meals and sometimes, I am cooking the same over and over again. So, I was thinking to add new ones and add them to my go-to list.
The other new page is the blogpost list. This is something that I had before in the previous months of bullet journaling. I will add here my blog post ideas, tag them if they are published, and mention as well which site did I publish the article as well as put in the date.
I originally planned on putting a brain dump portion but then, I thought I can always put those things in my weekly spread but for blog post ideas, I can't easily track them if I put it in the daily task. So, there, I have decided to create a separate one for blog ideas, anything that comes to mind is welcome!
Weekly Spread
It was last month when I decided to use a two-week spread in my journal, aside from it saved me spaces in my notebook, it is also very compact and easy to run through if I have to look for anything. So, I am applying the same in this month's spread.
I am quite happy with how the stickers were so cute in the spread. It is really an easy layout, all I did was add the vertical line and divided it into seven sections, then added the dates, put in the stickers and that's it. Can I just mention how cute those kitties are?
I tried to use different brush pen colors per page. All in all, I only had used up five pages and I am excited to start writing for July!
Conclusion
This spread layout is very easy to make, watch the video below:
The video is still going to be premiered tonight so I hope to see you there.
I am glad how this turned out and I am happy that after more than two years, I was able to make use of my stickers! Some of these stickers I bought in Taiwan. Mind you, they sell them pretty cheap! Most were at Php 20-30 if converted. I enjoyed our stationery hopping with my husband when we visited Taiwan before.
As for the empty page after the weekly spread, I am thinking I might want to add a to-pack list and to-do in Cebu list here because we are going to Cebu by the third week and I have to take note of whatever I wanted to pack and to go to during our visit.
That's it for today, thank you for reading and I hope to see you share your July Bullet Journal too!

Love harder than any pain you've ever felt.
Naalala ko when I had my first Starbucks planner. Yung gusto ko siya pagandahin kaso ending hindi ko din nagamit kakaplan. Hahaha. Ang ganda ng journal mo. Very personalized. 🤩😍
