There are several health habits that you should learn and do to keep your body in good condition.

          EAT BALANCED DIET

This is necessary to protect your heart and to keep your circulatory system working properly. Too much fatty foods might overwork your heart.

Get Enough Sleep, Rest, and Exercise

It is important to rest after a vigorous activity. You should also get enough sleep. These will give your heart time to rest, too.

           FIGHT INFECTION

When you are sick, your heart has to work harder to help your body fight infection. Certain infections are especially bad for the heart. Germs that cause tonsillitis and sore throat may reach the heart and cause serious damage. You should get proper medical care when you are sick.

      AVOID HARMFUL SUBSTANCES

Many studies have shown that substances taken in by the body from tobacco cause the blood vessels to become smaller. Blood cannot flow easily. This makes the heart work harder. It also causes damage in the walls of arteries and veins especially in the legs and arms. This may result in blood clots that may keep the blood from flowing smoothly.

 Be Mentally and Emotionally healthy

Good mental and emotional health is good for the heart. Tensions, worries, and upset feelings make the heart work faster. How does your heart beat when you are afraid? When you are angry? Avoid extreme emotions. Live a normal healthy life and good body health will follow.
