Most of the time, employee's rest days fall on weekends; Saturday and Sunday. However in my case it is a bit different, a total different actually. Since I am working in BPO, Telecom to be exact I do not have a fixed rest day. It changes from time to time, and good thing it falls on weekend just last week. But still weekend in eastern standard time as we are following US's time.
Since its weekend in eastern time and its my rest day, I decided to get myself pampered and have a massage as my body is aching especially my back for working and sitting for 9 whole hours everyday dealing with different type of customers.
We go to our go to spa which is the Crystal Healing Massage and Spa and chose their signature offer that costs 480 pesos. It is a combination of Volcanic Stone Massage, Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, Crystal Healing for 90 minutes. Let me share you a bit of information about it from Google.
Volcanic Stone Massage - It's used to help you relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout your body. During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat.
Swedish Massage - It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing.
Shiatsu - Shiatsu is based on traditional Japanese massage therapy. Shiatsu works with the body's energy flow, known as Ki or Qi (pronounced chee). It uses acupressure to release tension and bring balance to the body. It can help to lift your mood and make you feel relaxed.
Crystal Healing Massage - βThe whole body is massaged using a balancing/Calming Aromatherapy blend, then a mix of smooth, different types and shapes of crystal are used over the body, with a slow, gliding, stroking pressure according to your bodies needs and wants.
After the 90 minutes massage session, we went home for a rest. And that was how my Saturday ended. It was tiring in the morning but was so relaxing as the day ends.
On the next day, Sunday. I woke up at around 4:00 in the morning as I watched a new released KDrama, Hometown Cha Cha Cha. It was a nice movie to watch. After watching the 3 episodes of the drama, I slept again and woke up at around 10:00 AM, prepared my breakfast, cleaned my room, and decided to take a bath so that we can attend a mass. I felt very blessed as it was again the time I was able to attend mass. After the mass we decided to grab a candle and light it for a short prayer, then went home.
After I got home, I received a message from my sister to buy some groceries, fruits and veggies for them. She was a bit afraid to get out of the house to buy it herself as her little family was tested positive for Covid19 last month, thank God they are all good now. So I said yes and bought all the needed goods for them and brought it myself to their place too. I did not get inside their home as I was exposed outside. I just leave the goods outside and message my sister, then go home.
It was such a tiring day for me but a productive day anyway, I guess. I will be having my shift again tomorrow, but good thing I have 3 days shift only. See? My rest day just changed again. But I am used to it anyway.
So that's it. That's how my weekend/rest day went. Did I even rest for real?
That's all for today beautiful people. Let's interact. Stay safe always! Xoxo β¨βΊοΈ
