My Greatest blessing but not an answered prayer
"I want us to stay like this" she said while sitting beside you...
You look at her then a smile creep on your face, you admiring the surroundings, you're right it's a good idea to have a night out here in the rooftop of your condo building,
A fairy lights you designed to a small tent, a two champagne glass, even though you knew you are just the only one who will drink this, a cold breeze in the night that makes you two both shivered from the cold but you still enjoy this, you still enjoy watching the city light from above, you still enjoy this moment and it really makes perfect because of this woman beside you who's now enjoying herself in the view
"this is so beautiful" she said while admiring the city lights
You look at her, and admire this person in front of you, how come she still looks so beautiful and perfect even at this night, her beauty radiates in this darkest night,
"it's really beautiful" you said while looking at her,
You are not pertaining to the city lights and the view but you are just pertaining to this woman, to this person you really love the most,
She smile sheepishly and look at your direction
You look away, afraid to see the look on your face,
She holds your hand and smile
You don't know what you would do, because just by seeing her holding your hand makes you feel like you are going to explode, now you look ate her,
"thank you so much love" she said eyes teary
You tighten the hold on your hands, but soon just release the hold softly because your afraid it might hurt her,
You look at her hand, you traces the lines in her skinny hand, you look at her lips, it's so pale and her eyes are so heavy, you see pain and love at the same time,
How could life makes this harsh for you both, you are just two human being who just want to live each other, but now your love of your life is fighting for her life, she has
You kissed her forehead then look ate her with a loving look,
"let's do this every now and then" you said to her
she smiled and a tear in her eyes slowly dripping down, you are fast to wipe those tears using your thumb
"I want to grow old with you, and make you happy always, I want to have a family with you, a good future with yo-..." you are cut off by her words and a touch on your face
"shh" she tries to calm you and even in this moment you can just help yourself but to admire how she can make you calm just by a simple touch,
"promise me to make it all come true even it's not with me, I want you tl be happy" she said calming you even a tears and pain can be seen in her eyes,
"why would you said that, I want to be with you and it's not important what will future holds, I just want to be with you, on your side" you said fighting the urge to cry
"I know that, shh I always know that, I just said that because I don't want you to be alone if I suddenly just taken by him" she pointed the sky above while saying those lines
"my disease is already burden and I'm not sure if I can fight this anymore, I'm still here because I know there's still a reason to be here, and you are the one of it... listen if ever I leave you just promised me to be happy and never hold on to me for too long okay" she smile and tears continuously running to her face
You just nod and she just lay down her head to your shoulder,
You will never forget this moment with her, every moment became extra special when she's with you,
She slowly close her eyes while enjoying this moment with you...
"are you feeling sleepy love?" you asked her with a concern on your voice
She just nod and says...
" let me just take a nap love, wait for me okay? " she said while her eyes closed
"okay, I love you" you said
Now you wake up to the sun hitting on your face, it's been 4 years but she still never wake up,
"I will always wait for you love it's your 4th year death anniversary and I miss you, Myeloma really consumed you, I know you fought so much, you rest for now my love, I will look for you for the next life time, you are always be my greatest blessing but not my answered prayer, still I'm always be grateful to meet you in this lifetime, see you at the next one my love" you smile while talking to her picture in your room.
Myeloma is a cancer in a plasma cell, it can't be cured but there is a treatments for multiple myeloma that could improve quality of life but for just mean time.
Woah that's it for now valentines are already coming I can feel it hahaha kidding I can feel the tyranny of second sem hahaha anyways have a great day everyone, spend your day with a blast, stay hydrated always and enjoy!
