Why Reading Comprehension is Vital
Even in this amazing world that we live in, which is filled with things of various natures and characteristics, it is undeniable that there are some individuals who will misjudge you for something that may or may not be your fault at times.
This occurs frequently on various social media platforms. Misunderstanding occurs when some people interpret what you have just shared in the wrong way, which is unfortunate because some people may even attack you without fully understanding what you have just shared with them.
Reading comprehension is a problem for some people at times. To be completely honest, when I read something quickly without fully comprehending what I'm reading, I tend to misinterpret it also. In order for me to give an informed opinion, I am rereading the text or document to ensure that I fully comprehend it.
So how to improve it?
There are three things I could share: read more, make it comprehensive and wider, and try something complex.
However, before delving deeper into these three points, it is important to note that when a child is learning to read for the first time, the child will louder out the letters of each word until they are able to speak each term correctly. However, they are not only reading it in the conventional sense, but they are also comprehending it.
Individuals' understanding of the definitions of words enhances as their abilities improve. They begin to understand that when words are strung together, they can express a wide range of complex thoughts and concepts in general.
Read More. You would start by having a book with you, which is something that satisfies your interest. Assess how much do you spend reading in a day and gradually raise it by several minutes on a regular basis to reach your goal. Do not pressure too much yourself when it comes to the time frame, but make it a habit to increase the amount of time required to read at high performance. This period of time, which you spend, should be devoted completely to reading not to something else so that it won't get interrupted. Remember that the more you read, the more that you learn and understand things.
Make it comprehensive and wider. Once you establish a habit of reading and reading more things, it is time to expand and try other genres or subject matters. For example, you get to read a lot of sports news, you may try reading entertainment also. Do not just read just because you are told to do so. Remember to read with your heart and mind because it is useless when you are not understanding well what you are reading. The substance is of great importance too, always put that in mind.
Try something complex. After doing the two, you may now also start looking for something more complex and from there learn to understand the new concepts while reading and do not merely memorize those things, understanding them well is what matters. Keep in mind that comprehension is critical since it is the capacity to comprehend the substance and significance of what you are reading.
It is undeniably possible to gather a lot of information simply by having read it. But on the other hand, reading has the capacity to achieve more. The ability to read well has the potential to strengthen our ability to reason. With every reading we do, new perspectives and new ways of thinking are revealed. Unfortunately, only a small number of people are ready to dive into these bodies of water.
The sad truth is that a lot of students would rather read what they are required to read for class or read what they want for leisure, which is something which should be changed because making it a habit has lots of benefits to us.
To sum it all, just remember to concentrate and engage yourself in what you're reading. Maintain the perspective that reading is an intellectual activity that improves with repeated practice (the further you do it, the more effective it gets). The more experience you get, the greater you enjoy it.

I agree with your terms towards reading comprehensively, it is true we tend to misinterpret words when we read them and besides we all reason differently. Most times I prefer calling to chatting cos there, you'd be able to note the tone been used either it is offensive or just mainly sarcastic.
