Each day, there are lots of celebrations worldwide. It could be a birthday, anniversary, among others. In this article, let me share with you some of the special occasions I know about this month. If ever you know some events that are not listed here, feel free to let us know in the comment section provided below.

We are now officially on the first ber month of the year. In the Philippines, the spirit of Christmas can already be felt since Filipinos are known to have the longest celebration of Christmas. That is why do not be confused if you see some memes of Jose Mari Chan about Christmas.

The first one is the Birthday Celebrations this month.

For sure, many of you who are here will celebrate one of the most special days in your life - your birthday. Outside this platform, there are probably hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of birthday celebrants this month. Whether it will be a simple one or grande, just enjoy your day. But do not forget to follow the safety protocols in your place, most especially if you are under quarantine.

The Eighth of September

One of my brothers will have his birthday on the eighth day of September. Speaking of this day, this day is also a special working holiday in commemoration of the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is notable that Republic Act 11370 was signed to honor and celebrate this religious occasion. The one who signed it was President Rodrigo Duterte.

September Equinox on the 23rd day of September

Equinox is a term to describe the time or date wherein the sun shines straight to the Equator and by which the length of day and night is almost equivalent. Every year, there are two equinoxes. One from March and another one in September. Based on the illustration you can see above, the equinox this month is considered to be the 1st day of fall and identified as the fall equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. Whereas it is called spring equinox and signifies the 1st day of spring in the Southern Hemisphere.

Other events that will happen in this month

On the second Saturday of this month or on September 11, World First Aid Day takes place. This celebration happens to promote awareness of the importance of first aid in saving a life. The 15th of this month will be observed as the International Day of Democracy. The name itself implies the strengthening of democracy in government. The next day, September 16, will be the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. This is also a great way to remind us to take care of our planet and to protect the ozone layer by doing necessary things. The celebration of World Tourism Day will take place also on the 27th day of this month. This is also to give value to tourism as well as its impacts on the whole wide world.

Final Thoughts

Every day is special regardless of the event that is present. What is important is we live our life to the fullest, not to the dull side. It is a bonus if there are extravagant celebrations.
