OFW doesn't own a Bakery, just a piece of Bread
Good evening dreamers! How's your week so far? I hope that you enjoy this day even though we are busy hustling most of the time. Don't forget that you also need to cope on your life in outside world. And most especially take some rest especially when you feel like your are drained enough to continue. Prioritize your health always.
I believe that most of us have family members or relatives that is working abroad. They are so called our modern heroes because they didn't only support their families but also they help on our economy somehow because of the dollars they send here in our country. I tend to get this idea when I read ate @Jeansapphire39 post in Noise Cash app earlier. I remember a lot of people while reading her post.
They are in the loop that once you are an OFW, you have a lot of money. That you can easily earned money in an instant. But it is only a belief and it is not true. If they can only know that OFW suffered and sacrifice everything just to earn money. They are also prone in home sick and loneliness since they can't personally touch nor hugs their love ones. If we are missing them for sure they more misses us. Even though that I didn't experience yet to be an OFW, I already know how does it feel when my brother decide to leave the country before. Imagine we only see him after 6 years working in Saudi. That's why I really admire him because he choose to sacrifice his own dreams just to let us reach our dreams in life. And I guess this story of us can be relatable to most of you. You are willing to take a risk working on other country just to support your family. Really, there's no assurance for them if they will gonna met a nice employee or not, if they will get treated right and if when they can go home to their families.
But sadly not everyone can fully understand the hardship of their family abroad. Some asked money as if their OFW members have unlimited money. In fact, OFW doesn't own a bakery and they only get enough salaries every month. And yet most or all of their salaries was intended to support their family here in Pinas. I'm not generalizing since there's also few who can understand their situation. Honestly, it is one of the toxic cultures that I really hate on our country. They treated OFW as their ATM machine that can easily asked or withdraw some money. Of course, one of the reason why they flew away is to sustain their family needs but we should also set our limitations on asking money from them. Another thing that I observe is some only depends on them and spend the money without thinking their situation. I know someone who always asked stuffs on her relatives working abroad. Like every month, she is asking different things and sometimes I believe that is is really unnecessary one. Then one time, her relatives didn't gives what she wants then she immediately say bad thing about her. Like, the person is selfish and everything to backlash that person. She totally depends her life to her even though she is fully capable to get a job. It's just one time she decline her request but the bad words she receive is a lot. It's not bad to give to them but also, you should reserve something for you.
And one thing that I remember is when they asking an OFW why they can't able to save something when they are still working on abroad. It's because they give everything on their family even they have nothing left. Some people think that they earn huge money because they can able to send money every month. But in reality, sometimes they only limit their budget for themselves just to provide. The other day, I watched the video of an OFW who only eat noodles everyday because he send his entire salary to his family here in Pinas. He also say that it is better if he is the one who have nothing to eat as long as he knows that his family can eat 3x a day. I really hope that people could appreciate the value and hard earn money of their family abroad. They should be thankful if they get their desire but if not, they should also understand. OFW doesn't have a millions when they step on other other. So while they are working for us, we should also do our part to spend wisely their money. That's why I really admire those OFW peeps out there. But a friendly reminder , " Don't wait for the day that you only left breadcrumbs on your plate because you give them the bakery". As much as possible, give and save something to yourself. Big hugs to you, heroes!
I think that's all for tonight. Thank you dreamers for still keeping your support to me. Have a great sleep ahead!
I salute all the OFWs out there. And I agree with the things that you mentioned here. They tend to give all that they have until they have nothing left but regrets. So I hope they will learn from this. and may also others be aware of what the OFWs are suffering,
