Clean Little Hands The Covid19 pandemic has been so much overwhelming for a lot of us, for almost two years now, it impacted our lives big time. I admit, this pandemic changed a lot of things and plans in my life. If adults like me endured a huge impact, how much more the kids. Those babies born during this time of pandemic and had grown up learning the new normal things we lived with now. I stumbled upon this video on YouTube about this little girl, perhaps she's around 2 years old. Please watch this short video of this cute toddler who thinks that some things around her are sanitizers to clean her little hands. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN_TMgf5Ogg So, I have mixed emotions watching this video. It's funny, but at the same I feel sad for this little girl. This must be one of the effect being born at this time of pandemic. At this age, kids learn by observing the environment and the people around them and undeniably this is us, constantly cleaning and disinfecting our hands as protocols to avoid contacting this unseen virus. Before this pandemic started, you would see toddlers play and hop around in sidewalks like this, they care less about what they touched on the ground, on benches, and every single thing around them. Parents would care less too, because this was normal back then. Now, adults carrying children with them would get paranoid in public places about what they touched, and we become cautious of people who sneeze or cough in public. If this scenario persists, maybe kids will think too, that our nose and mouth are private parts that needs to be covered, lol! Funny indeed, but, the human brain is so complex in learning and grasping information that surrounds it, we can either learn the good, the bad, the weird and the worst.
Anyway, let's not dwell on the bad or worse. I want to think of the positive impact this pandemic may bring to children, as they say, let's look into the brighter side of things. The thought that children and adults had become conscientious about cleanliness is impeccable. Before, I would constantly remind my nephews and niece to wash hands before eating, now it seems it had become a habit for them to clean their hands before every meal. The transformation in the smallest of things like hand hygiene has improved at least significantly. I would like to drop this very common and overly used phrase here; **"Cleanliness is next to godliness."** Also, this nursery rhyme "Clean Little Hands" subconsciously teaches the children that cleanliness is good and admirable. **"I have two hands, the left and the right** **Hold them up high, so clean and bright** **Clap them softly** **One, two, three** **Clean little hands are good to see"** I remember in my childhood, our teacher would always emphasize the value of cleanliness. Apparently, these echoes to our way of life, most importantly at this time of pandemic, that cleanliness should also be a moral obligation. This would be it for now. Stay safe wherever you are and always clean those little hands. True doc! My three year-old niece would sanitize her hand using alcohol after playing with her toys at home. So cute but I'm sad that she can't go and try to play outside.
Oh my Oh my! Are you kidding me? Menhhhn...that's a little cute baby doing the handwashing stuff that most times even me myself dont even remember or think of doing this. What a lovely intelligent child
I watched that video and i must say it's hilarious 😂 but also hoes to show that kids are aware of things happening around them. The pandemic has affected a lot of things. I hope and pray things go back to normal soon.
Tama ka po, may bad effect but we should see the positive on it. They also learn on how to clean themselves alone without the help of their parents.
That's a true covering face is now mandatory. Now, I can't even remember I was used to moving without a mask. All ages, of people, are facing a problem. I hope, this time will end soon. We will back to our normal life.
Children nowadays learn what they've seen with their surroundings. Yes ma'am Lyca we should maintain cleanliness in order to be in safety especially now in pandemic.

I have seen the unthinkable in this pandemic. Mothers let their children go outside to play, some even without a mask on. It's crazy. I don't even want to talk about it. 100% irresponsibility
It is very common nowadays to see very young children rubbing their hands with antibacterial gel. And their face mask. We now have here the presence of the Delta strain of covid-19. Out goes one and in comes the next.

You are right and the video is both funny and sad. Good cleaning habits are a plus. But how do adults let little children explore when they are out of home these days? A "new normal" :(
Sobrang toxic na kasi talaga ng mundo kaya kontinglagnat sakit di tulad nung mga panahon natin nilalaro pa natun mga germs. Ngayon mga bata kahit matatanda hindi na immune sa sakit
It is a new change that we are experiencing, it is becoming a habit, hopefully for the good of humanity, although there is still a long way to go, there are many people who are still unaware of the danger we are living in.
Sa atin diba sikat na pag maghuhugas ng kamay, dalawang beses kakantahin yung haopy birthday? Di ko ginagawa yun eh. pero tama ka, mas naging pala-alcohol na ako. Di ako makakaalis ng bahay kung walang dala akong alcohol.
Remember ko pa hindi matatapos ang dalawang happy birthday hindi pa clean ang kamay hahaha.

Yes, certainly a response will be based on the stimulus in the environment. Children tend to imitate what they observe in their environment. So, it is important that children are exposed to positive environment. Anyways, i like this article. Good thing i came across to this article. ❤❤❤❤

Relate ako dyan Sis, kasi yong baby ko na 1 year old and 9 months, everytime na we wash hands or put alchohol and sanitizer, sabi agad "Give" or wash hands or say "ako pud". Tapos nong 1 time dinala ko sya sa pedia kasi may rashes, nagmask din sya. Ang mga bata pa ang mas madali turuan.
The writer of that song is a genius I'd say. He or she meant it for such a time as this. We need that reminder.. lols.. I feel sad as well. Seeing my nephews and niece being cooped up at home and not running around with other kids .. or not even having that feel of building friendships and stuff.. That breaks my heart. These are essentials that they have to skip for now to attend to more essential things - their safety. And the paranoia. Sometimes part of me thinks it is a little too much but I cannot blame parents. Masks on meeting up people from other household. Alcohol within reach. Less on eating together. hay naku..
