Just Another Panic Monday
While sitting in front of the computer, and contemplating what to write. I was thinking, let me write my world instead of how I ended up with a panic Monday.
But, wait. I want to get the chill vibe and end the hectic Monday that has been, So, let us play this music here, while I’ll be writing (and you’ll be reading this article).
It's just another manic Monday (Ooh-oh)
I wish it were Sunday (Ooh-oh)
'Cause that's my fun day (Ooh-oh)
My I don't have to run day (Ooh)
It's just another manic Monday.
Panic Monday
In the morning, I woke up with the commotion in the kitchen and in the living room. The kids in the house will be starting school, I know it might sound just an ordinary day, but no. Since the pandemic started and the schools shifted to online and modular learning for more or less two years, the back to school scenario today was something extraordinary. I hope just for today while everyone is adjusting.
My niece is in second grade, but today is like her first time. She got used to waking up late, and her bath time has always been her playtime too during the “Stay At Home” days. Thus, my brother (the father) has been shouting to hurry up, now that classes have started and the morning routines should be in a hustle and bustle.
My nephew is in tenth grade. A big brother, but still so stubborn. He kept asking for five minutes more of sleep and the father had almost forgotten to wake him up, lol! Anyway, he can move quickly so it won't be much of a problem.
The father was overwhelmed too, and I was a bit guilty not to wake up earlier to help. Oh well, I don’t have kids so my mind wasn’t in sync with the entire new morning routine. However, it’s undeniable that there are really changes in everything. I guess I don’t have a choice but to go with the flow and accept the challenges too.
What challenges? The busy and noisy morning, and… the traffic!
Yes, traffic is back especially during rush hour. I mean, the road has always been busy all the time (everywhere in the world, lol!) but today was a bit more congested. Apparently, the commuters piled intensely too because of the students, thus commuting is harder as well. I’m glad that with the modern public utility vehicles, standing is possible and a better option.
Anyway, this might all sound bad, but I’m just glad that the world is finally moving back to normal.
Grateful Monday
Just another panic Monday, but I’m grateful that the kids are finally going back to a normal classroom setting, and experience the chance to interact and play with other kids once again. I’m sure screen time and gadgets will be lessened hopefully now that the classes have started.
While going home today, I can’t help but be grateful to see schools and universities flocked with students again. This must be the norm for buildings and campuses like these, the past few years have been a sad scene.
Thank God for Monday!
And, thanks everyone for reading!
