Ah I think I have never written any game related post before that's not a play-to-earn (P2E). π Well this time I can finally write about the ones I enjoy playing on my phone for quite a while now.
(Actually I stopped playing that game because of the requirements on how to earn changed. I can't even convert the remaining tokens in my wallet to any altcoin too. Oh well. Haha.)
First up, let me just say that the generation who grew up with console games had one of the best childhoods. Those were the days when kids played outdoors often and still got to enjoy computer games.
I really had fun playing the popular ones back then, those that are considered a classic now. Oh my goodness. The cheat code βοΈ βοΈ π π π π π π is the best of them all. π
These days children won't experience the same joy anymore. Most of us have computers and mobile phones or tablets. I bet no household is lacking these gadgets now despite the economic class. (Unless they are homeless people maybe...)
Anyway there are already a multitude of games because of the internet. From mobile games to computer and even consoles, there's too many choices available unlike before.
There's even, as I mentioned, the P2E ones now. However I will not write about that at all this time. Now you will be reading about the usual games I have been playing the most on my phone. π
Mobile Games I Used to Play and Loved the Most!
Back when Temple Run, Plants vs. Zombies (PvZ) were the norm, I would play some and then nothing. Haha. No game has ever stuck to me at all but there are memorable ones.
Sometimes I would play the game sequels. For example PvZ2. Once I was done I would uninstall the game. And then I would look for another game to play. That's the norm these days because there are too many out there that we can just download instantly.
Of course there are those that stood out to me because the games are really engaging and fun. I will share a few of them with you below.
First three are mobile strategy games available on Google PlayStore. Last one is like a Mario Bros game but cuter version. π :
1. Tentacle Wars
This got me so invested in playing that I even posted a video of me playing it on my personal IG acct. Haha. I mean, well my voice got recorded while I was playing and I was like, "NOOOOO!" and "sh*t!" when that big violet enemy defeated my green team. π Didn't know the app would record my voice too so... I still posted it on my
profile. π

I played this back in 2019 but it's all worth it. So enjoyable to play. β€οΈ You can even find my review on Google PlayStore haha. I wish there's more, like a part 2 or new set of levels. It's that good.

2. Auralux and Auralux: Constellations
These two are the next ones I enjoyed playing. Same as Tentacle Wars, it's very engaging. The difficulty is just right. It will really challenge you to do your best. Haha.

Also left a review on these two games. No game screenshots though. My previous phone is gone so you can just check it on YT maybe. π
3. Super Cat Bros
This one is by the same game developer of Tentacle Wars. It has plenty of cats and it's just cute to play too! Haha.
Also played this back in 2019 but I still remember how I enjoyed it. Left a review too! It seems I only write game reviews when I enjoy playing the games! π

Honorable Mention: Manok na Pula (Red Chicken)
There are several Filipino games that I've seen and played too but this one is the most mentionable of all. Why? Well it is quite funny! Haha. I am not a gambler at all but this is very humorous.

The reason it's in my list is because it really struck me as a very Pinoy game. Haha. And it's not that boring at all. As mentioned, it can be very funny at times. π
If you're a Filipino you will definitely get and laugh at some of the game references. Haha. However I still uninstalled it after a while.
Yes it is fun but as I said I'm not a gambler even if in a game only. And I also don't like those who play sabong (cockfighting) in real life. (Especially my neighbors who have plenty of noisy chickens!!! GRRR.) So I said bye to this one-of-a-kind game. Still worth playing though. π
Mobile Games I currently Play the Most
Now we come to the games I play the most these days. Just a short background, I don't like playing long ones it seems. Candy Crush, meh. Casino games, well I did dabble in them but I feel like it'd drain my luck even if it's just a game so I uninstall them eventually. π
I've also played word games, backgammon, poker, monopoly-like games, etc. However all of them have come and gone and none of them really stuck with me. Most are not even worth mentioning. Haha. But of course I did enjoy them enough even if only for a short while.
Tower defense games, yes of course I enjoy that too but I forget which one I consider the best. π Perhaps there isn't because I don't remember it. π€ The P2E one eventually required players to buy NFT so meh. Time to find other games to play.
I've also played fighting games and even Sims! However those games require too much memory so I rarely install them.
The last game I uninstalled just last week was a civilizations game. I've played several but I haven't found any mobile game of that genre that stays long on my phone.
I have downloaded and installed plenty of mobile games for various reasons. Only those I consider worth my time would be left on my phone for a long time. Which leads me to the first game I will share...
1. Gardenscapes
Well I am still playing one of those neverending ones. Haha. If you've ever played Gardenscapes and Homescapes then hello my fellow garden and home gamer. π
I only started playing this last year because of the ads I kept seeing while playing other games, I think. Heck I got curious but the ads they used did not show the actual game itself. Lol. I felt "betrayed" when I installed it but anyway past is past. I'm still playing it 'til now. Ehehe.
Screenshot of what I posted on Plurk about the Christmas mini-game prize.
This is a matching game, a neverending one it seems. Back in December I even posted a screenshot of one of my achievements for the first time. I don't really like sharing what games I play on my phone but when I somehow enjoy it I will tell the world about it. π
However Gardenscapes is just my time waster. It is something I can play offline or online. I play it almost everyday since late last year. Like whenever I need to NOT think about my life but I end up doing so while playing it anyway. Ehehe.
It's not overly fun but not so boring as well. It's just enough to spend some time to play it whenever, wherever. That's why it's still in my phone.
I even changed the language setting to Spanish because I'm self-studying that. Not sure if it's helping though because I still don't know enough EspaΓ±ol to understand most of what's going on in the game now. π
Screenshot of one of the Spanish dialogues (I have yet to check the meaning of) while playing Gardenscapes.
I've uninstalled the other one (home) because this garden game is enough imho. For me, playing two of the same kind of game is too much.
2. Adventure Escape Mysteries (AE Mysteries)
This is a new addition to my phone apps and it's quite promising. It's kinda similar to the Choices game (minus the romance stuff) but it is an escape game. I really enjoyed the Legend series so much that I want some more. π
Screenshot of AE Mysteries home page.
And yes I already left a game review on Google PlayStore. Haha. I enjoyed those two games because it really exercises your brain! π You have to look for clues and think about what you need to do next. Plus it is time travel related so all the fantastic elements make it fun to play. π
Of course I'll admit, I watched some walkthrough videos when I couldn't figure out what to do just to get to the next level. Haha. The storyline is that exciting! Thanks YouTube! π
It's been a while since I played games like these. Well hey I rarely play them because when you're working of course you'd be too tired to think while playing. Good thing I'm not doing much the past few months. π
Now I'm playing the Trapmaker and so far so good. I don't like the Dark Ruins so I guess I won't be finishing that anymore...
Will this game stay long in my phone? Well only until I've played all the ones worth playing, maybe. But because it is fun, it's worth mentioning here.
3. Realm Defense
This is the latest addition. It's a tower defense game. Actually I stopped playing the above two since I installed this a few days ago. Hahaha. That's how engaging it is. After work or before I sleep I just play this instead of the other two.
Screenshot from Google PlayStore.
What about you? Do you have any mobile games you'd recommend? Have you played any of the above yet? Feel free to share your thoughts! π
XOXO,
