Hey people, I was late yesterday. But not today. Here I am with the 2nd part of the story. Well who haven't read that yet, just simply click here.

So my friends, are you ready? Here we go.

(Continuing from the last part)

Surprised Dave put the gift box in the drawer & went to sleep. Who was Kate? Why was she doing that? Is there any conspiracy? He slept while thinking those surprising moments. But he woke up just in time. Yes, Kate had arrived just in time as she promised. Dave was nervous.

Kate: You ok?

Dave: Am I supposed to be ok? What is happening with me?

Kate: We will talk about it in office.

Dave said nothing. He needed the answer. They reached the office together. Everyone was looking at him. Dave was unable to understand. He was going to his cabin. Kate stopped him.

Kate: Your cabin has been changed. You will work with me. Go to your cabin, collect your any necessary items and join me in my office at the 7th floor.

Dave was astonished. He needed a break, a hard coffee. He started having headache. He started collecting his things. His colleagues came.

David: Congratulations man! You have been promoted. What magic you have done brother?

Dave: I don't know even.

Jean: Come on dude. Don't lie. Is she your relative or what?

Dave: I had never met her before. I had never seen her before yesterday. How am I supposed to know her?

David: You must be kidding!

Dave: Look at my face. Am I?

Dave went to the 7th floor. He had a lots of questions with no answers. Kate showed the works needed to be done and left. Dave worked all day. In the evening, he was about to leave, Kate came. She handed over a file and said him to wait in the parking lot. Dave said nothing and went to the parking lot. After 15 minutes, she came.

Kate: Let's go.

Dave: Not going anywhere without having my answers.

Kate: It's not that important to know.

Dave: For you, no. For me, yes. It's important. Who are you? What are you? And why are you doing me favours? Do you know me?

Kate didn't say anything. She started the car and went away. Dave was alone in the parking lot. The mystery continued. Next day in office Dave found that Kate didn’t came to the office. She was on leave. Where did she go? He had no idea. He returned home. After a moment his neighbour knocked at the door and handed him a pen drive. It was Kate who left that thing for Dave. Dave opened his computer and connected the pen drive. A video was there. He put on his headphone and clicked the video. It was Kate.

❝ Dave, I know you have lots of questions in your mind. You needed the answer but I never want you to know about the truth. I am Kate Richard. Daughter of Travis Richard. Sounds familiar? Yes, I'm that Kate whose car collided with your family's. That accident was happened by me. I lost the control and found that the brake was not working. My paralyzed father was beside me. I was in fear. I had no way, no options & suddenly your car came out of nowhere. It collided. I lost my sense. My father and your parents died in that accident. It was completely a mess (cries loudly).... I am so sorry. I want to beg pardon but didn't have the strength to face you at that moment. I am deeply sorry... You were in coma. A month passed. Everyday I visited there, sat beside you, said sorry. I started falling in love with you. Your innocent face made an impact on me. But whenever I thought that after knowing the truth you would hate me the most because I am the killer...(Cries again). Surprisingly you didn't filed any case. You never asked for judgement. And you told the police that you are not willing to file any case on a car which had no intention to hit but did that because of break fail. I was stunned (remains silent for some time). I saw your C.V. I knew you will make it. You joined the company which is actually my grandfather's. I work there as a normal worker and very few know that I am the owner of it. I just wanted to work with amazing peoples. When I saw you, I thanked the God. I want to do something for you because I destroyed your life. That's the reason. This is your answer. Yes, I am your prisoner. I am the sinner. I have no strength to stand face to face and answer your questions. You can hate me. But trust me, it happened mistakenly. I am not a killer, not a killer..... (she cries loudly)

The video ended. Dave had tears on his eyes. He could visualise the entire accident. Before losing his conscious, he had seen a face, a lady with blood on her face. He didn’t know that it was Kate. He found his sense after a month. He was in coma. The police asked him about his statement. But he denied to put an allegation. That accident made him orphan but he knew that the car driver was not guilty.

The next day Dave went to office. He saw Kate and handed over the pen drive. He said nothing and left. Kate went to her cabin & silently started crying. Dave's silence told the entire situation to her. She started feeling more guilty. Suddenly someone knocked at her door. She looked up.

Dave: Am I still supposed to call you Kate or boss? If you agree & only if you love coffee then we can have it today. Then we can visit to a neurosurgeon to ensure something.

Kate: (crying) Ensure what?

Dave: When I was in coma, I heard a voice that was telling me how much sorry she felt and how much she loves me. I want to ensure if it was you or someone else. (Smiles) Perhaps, they can put me in coma again to ensure. (Starts laughing)

Kate hugged him. Dave holds her too. They both cried. Kissed each other and hugged again. The sun is shinning more brighter. A terrible accident ends up in a beautiful story.
