Perks of Being an Introvert *What kind of person are you? An Extrovert who found socializing is much better than being an Introvert who are comfortable being alone? Or maybe you're an Ambivert who can manage being alone and being with other people?* *Me, there are times that I'm an Ambivert, I like to be with my family, friends, relatives, and sometimes I found talking to stranger fun. Most of the time I initiate gatherings, and I have this set of friends who only go to an occasion if I'm there. But most of the time, let me say 80% of my personality is Introvert.* *Today, I would like to share how beautiful being an introvert is, some may say it's boring but for me it's freedom. These points that I am going to share are based on my experience and observation. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ When I was in Highschool, I was a tranferee that time when my classmates plan to go for a swimming, they already know that I have a strict father so the president look at me saying "*we will not go if Ling will not attend,"* I just laugh as the President became my very close friend, but still I said I can't, then one of my classmate said *"It means you're not enjoying your life."* I actually don't like what she said, but I just ignore her. Then she asked again "*Are you happy with your life?"*, I got irritated so I said "*Ofcourse I am, I'm happy following my parent's command"*, since the president feel the tension between us, he said "*Parents who have beautiful daughter are strict, if your parents are not strict then now you know"*, my classmate clap and shout "*ohhh*" after our president told this to my classmate. It is somewhat as joke a very big help for me. I am not saying that I am really beautiful but this is a savage answer to defend introvert person having a strict parents. That I realized Introvert need those persons who knows how to understand just like my friend Mr. President. So if they look down on you being not around, then just say that sentence:D ***Let's move on to the Perks of being an Introvert ;*** More Creative Being alone means having a lot of time to discover and enhance your talent. Introvert are those person who take time to made a plan first before doing the act. They might not be good in physical sports, but you can trust their ability to play board games or making art piece. Far from toxic people Since introvert person don't like socializing then it only means that their circle of friends is limited and highly chosen. They only choose the people/person they want to be with. People around you is a big factor in setting your mood; if you're with toxic people then they can give negative energy on you. The more you set yourself being with people that can help you grow the more you gain peace of mind and success. You can focus The more you socialized the more you make your goals set aside. You focus in a short-term happiness than long-term goals that can give you joy life time. This can be the reason of not having a time for your family; I know not everyone but most of people who likes to socialize forget to bond with his/her parents. You can focus in your work or studies; no temptation no wasting of money or time. ***Lastly*** People will like to know you more The more you limit your words and the more you limit your actions, the more people get interest knowing you. If you already show the world what are your strengths and weaknesses, your goals, attitude and everyday life, then what's more surprising that they can get from you? But if you talk to an Introvert person, you will met another world. *We may have different personalities, or opinion about the topic that I've shared but I'm truly writing this from my heart. I've been in different schools and met different kinds of students , and I observed that if you're an introvert they just ignore you. Lucky For One Day *Today's sharing is what happened yesterday, the reason why I wasn't able to publish or to visit articles. I found it a busy yet happy day, so for now let's get started.* ***But first let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ Yesterday, 8 am in the morning my mom asked my younger brother to buy toothbrush in the store next street. When I heard it, I told him to buy me load also as I'm going to expire at 11:30 am. He did, he went to the store and came back holding toothbrush, I asked him why there's still no notification from the load service but then he said that they don't have load. It's okay for me because my expiration is at 11:30 am, there's still a time. At 11 am I told him again to go back in the store; maybe they already have a load. He actually got irritated as he is watching videos in Tiktok but still I force him. He then went out and go to the store, while me, I go to the bathroom to take a bath. After a minutes, I came out and saw mom and my younger brother busy into something. I came closer and saw a cute black puppy. A fat female puppy with a thick fur. I saw mom wiping the puppy with a cloth, and asked them where it came from. My younger brother respond and here's his long explanation; "I saw it beside the church when I'm going to the store. Taki(our dog) saw her first, she came closer to the puppy the reason why I saw this but I just ignore it because I thought that it's Kuya Bon's(*house beside the church*) pet. But then, when I came back this puppy was still there and looking at me, I felt sad in her situation as it's too hot. I picked her up and bring to Kuya Bon's house, his wife is there and I asked her if it's their puppy, she said "no, there is a kid who bring that puppy here, he even throw water on that". Since no one is the owner of the puppy I bring it here" I came closer to the puppy and what happened to her was really terrible, seems like someone throw her hot water and leave her alone the reason why her skin has infections, there's a lot of parasite in her body; the good thing is my mom is a nurse and we have the stuffs for her treatment or first aid. My father don't like female pets, it give birth and another problem for him, he even said "*no more puppies!"*, but I only replied *"no more father!".* Good news is they just laugh, because if not the problem on me. Lol! *This is how the puppy look, only this angle; other part is sensitive* While my mom is out for work, me and my sibling take care the puppy. We gave her food and water, she eat but only few. We try to play with her but she is a quiet type, my brother even said "*she's introvert!"*, but a sweet one, she wants to sleep on your side. We didn't hear her bark and I observed that if we put treatment on her skin she don't have reaction, like she can't feel anything; the reason why I get worried. We are talking what will be her name, but all comes in my mind are for male dogs, only "*Princess*" for female. But then I realized that this time is our lucky moment as we have budget to renovate our house, so I told my brother that puppy is a luck to us too, her name can be lucky. I found it another male name but it really suits for the time we saw her. My brother agreed, and we already have her name Lucky. In the afternoon, some of her wounds dry, a positive outcome. Still I stay with her to remove some parasite. Until I need to go inside to prepare food for dinner. I just put her outside where she freely roam around. After I cook, I go outside to see her but she's gone, so I asked for help to find her, almost 1 hour of searching we just found her under the coconut tree sleeping. After our dinner we give her food but she didn't eat. Actually my mom keeps on texting and chatting me asking about the puppy while she's at work, she is a dog lover. So when she arrived, she immediately go to the puppy and check the condition. We told her that we need to cut the fur of the puppy, so that we can get all the parasite hiding. *Looks like an operation* Finally done, we cut the fur in her upper part. We cannot give her a bath as it's already night, cold for her. We cover her with a cloth and put in the side of our balcony. We also prepare a syringe that we can use for her breakfast if she still don't want to eat. We sleep and have a goodnight The next day I woke up hearing my younger brother talking to mom through call. Mom was asking about the puppy, my younger brother said, *"wait, I will go to her"*. Reminiscing Songs in my Past *What are the songs that reminds you in the past? I know music is already part of our life, some may say daily life. So when there is an event and we need to present an intermission, it's a coincidence that our dance instructor pair us. Before the event, we already plan that the color of our shirt is green, we all agree as it's easy to find. The day of the event has come, and my friends came into our house so that we will go together in the venue, but I was shocked when I saw all of them wearing red. They all laugh and said that they plan it so the highlight of the dance presentation is me and my partner. My father saw us and asked *"why your shirt is different?"*, but they only replied *"she is the leader uncle"*. I told them that I will change my shirt, but they said that if I will change my partner will feel bad as he is the only one wearing green. I don't have a choice as the parents of my partner is also there. When my partner saw us, he was also shocked seeing that only two of us wear green. My father chose the songs of Freddie Aguilar to train him, as he like these songs too. My younger brother was crying everytime they train, while my father want him to reach the tone. Weigle's Types of Creation Myths - Part II Yesterday I have shared to you the first part of Marta Weigle's Types of Creation Myths, for those who haven't read it yet, you can visit it anytime. This focus on the potency of primal matter; if other myths states that the world was created by the primordial gods, then this type of myth only involved inanimate matter, there's no action taken by a god. Secretion According to qtd. in Leonard and McClure 35, this type of myth states that the world was created by; **vomit** - In Bushongo Mythology, the universe was created when a god named M'Bombo became ill, because of this he vomit and eveything in the universe occurred, even the animals and humans **sweat** - In Norse Mythology, there is a god named Ymir. When he slept, a man and woman formed from his sweat under his left arm. **urination and defecation** - Water is very important element in the creation of the world, ancient believe that water is a big part of the creation, even the water that coming to a god's body, same as the bowel movement. **masturbation** - In Egyptian Mythology, the sun god Atum masturbate in order to create universe and all the living things; note, in their mythology masturbation is a holy ritual. **webspinning** - example of this is the myth of Arachne, in Greek mythology. She transformed by Athena the goddess of wisdom into a spider, a punishment to weave for eternity. **parthenogenesis** - from Greek words means "*virgin birth*", these form without the help of a sperm; the development of an offspring from unfertilized egg or gamete. Sacrifice As we know, there are still some cultures who practices body or blood sacrifice. In other mythology, god sacrifice one's body in order to build a new creation, some are buried alive, killed to sacrifice the blood and cut one's body to offer. Division or Consummation There are two kinds of this type of myth. The first one states that the world was created by sexual intercourse or when two primordial gods unite to form an offspring. Just like in Greek Mythology, the sky god Uranus and mother earth Gaia unite and produced their first offspring which are the Cyclopes and Hecatonchires. The second kind is about the Cosmogenic Egg. That life begins from an egg, here are those mythology who believed in cosmic egg Earth-diver Life emerges from the smallest particle, according to this myth. Typically, the god goes into a primordial sea to retrieve the elements required to create the world. It can be about cosmogonic water - the creation made by the water; or a creature that dives into the ocean to grab a piece of land. This is common in Native American folklore, like Cherokee creation myth. *That's it everyone, only a brief explanation about the type of myths based to Marta Weigle. Weigle's Types of Creation Myths *The world is full of mysteries, from the fact on how it was created, up to how things like this or that happened. We may be curious about a lot of things but science try to explain everything. But how about in the world of mythology? What's the concept of how it was created?* *In my previous articles, like in Greek Mythology, Visayan Mythology and, Hebrew Mythology; the, world was created in different ways, but did you know that myths are classified into types too? These are Marte Weigle's Creation Myth.* *Marta Weigle is an American Anthropologist, and these types of creation myth are based in her book* ***Creation and Procreation: Feminist Reflections on Mythologies of Cosmogony and Parturition.*** *Finally I am going to share another interesting topic about mythology. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ Ex Nihilo "*Ex Nihilo*" is a Latin phrase which mean "*from nothingness/spirit*", this is the term that used to describe cosmologies in which the creator creates the universe by means of "*speech, breath, dream, thought or laughter."* In Christianity, particularly in the book of Genesis, the world was created by the speech of our God; and God said "*Let there be light"*. God only used His words to create the world, then Hebrew myth is considered as an Ex Nihilo Type of the World Creation Myth. Deus Faber *"Deus Faber*" is a Latin phrase which mean "*Maker god"*. This myth states that world was made by a god who crafts like an artist or sculptor. If you have heard the story about the creation of a woman where the god form humans and cook it to give life, the reason why people have different colors is considered as an example of Deus Faber. In Christianity, still in the book of Genesis, it states that God created Adam from the dust of the ground, He mold it according to His image and breathed into Adam's nostrils to give life. How god created the human is based on Deus Faber type, he mold and craft a human. Two Creators This type of myth states that the world was created by the combined efforts/conflict of two gods. These two gods have different characteristics, one maybe more moral or compassionate than the other; the reason why in life there is a lower and higher class, or good and evil. Example of this is the African Myth, when a god created an egg, inside it are two pairs of twins, both have one female and one male. They must wait until they fully develop but then because of selfishness, one pair of twins wants to rule the world, so they break the egg; the reason why we have imperfect world. Emergence This type of myth states that the people already exists but they only transfer in this world after a long time; that the first creatures(*what we called humans*) enters our world from the other world. Dreams Can Convey *Do you believe that dreams have it's meaning? That the dream you have seen last night may symbolizes something or just a warning?* *Since before I always care about my dream, I write them in my note pad and together with it are the possible reasons behind those signs. So last week, I dream about something that bothered me in the morning, I usually have a good dream with a good sign until I came up with it. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ We are having somewhat a vacation in a resort, I'm together with my family and friends and it was night that time. I can't remember who talked to me, but she asked me to accompany here in the bathroom. It was dark and only the LED Christmas Round Bulbs make the path visible. Me and that someone look for the bathroom until we saw it in a dark area. There is no light even that bulb, so what I did is I open the flashlight of my phone. She enter in the cubicle and I remain outside. Just a moment, mom came in and asked "*Is this the bathroom Ling?*. I nod my head, until I felt something weird in my feet. I face down down phone and (*Excuse me for those who are eating)* I face down my phone and saw a lot of worms, it was scattered on the floor and I feel it moving. Then I woke up I really don't feel good waking up after that dream, so I immediately pray and search it's meaning And here are some of the results As you can see it have these possible reasons and all are negative. I don't know yet which one does my dream symbolized but just after a day my mom get sick, the next day my younger brother, then the other day I get sick, until my father get sick too, so all of us in our house get sick. We all have a cough, cold and body pain. We are actually thinking that maybe it's a virus but God is so good that it is only an ordinary sicknesses due to the weather; always raining. I only have fever for one day and while preparing the medicine for father, I remember my dream about the worms. I look again, and read it, then I found out that maybe my dream has this warning,*"it may also indicate that you may have health problems in the future period "* I realized that my dreams are still helping me to know what's going to happen in me. I don't mean that we get sick because of my dream, but what I want to convey is that I'm/we're already destined to get sick, and my dream only warn me about it. Dreams are powerful that it became our bridge to connection with spiritual realm. Some may disagree on this but in most cases it serve as our warning. As I've said before, our mind tend to forget unnecessary information, so if you can still remember what's your exact dream then try to discover what's the meaning behind it. I remember my father's story that one of his neighbor before *(in their province*) win in the lottery just because of his dream, and it's really amazing how dreams can help us. What's On My Gallery *Finally I am here to share my entry for the prompt about exposing photos on Gallery. I first saw this to Sis Lhes, I found it interesting but then I decided not to join since I like to make my face hidden. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ Oldest Photo on my Phone This was taken Nov. 22, 2021. My Oldest photo is only 2 months ago because I change my phone that time. My memory card is too old, it cannot be recover in this new mobile, so all my files there was deleted. Back to the photo, this is our puppy Choco. I just woke up that time and when I count them all, one is missing. I keep on looking behind our plants and finally I saw him with wet face. So cute right? Latest Photo On My Phone This was taken the other day, I suppose to post this in my noise.cash account, but since it was raining that time and the connection is so slow, I wasn't able to post it. This is a fish ball. Everytime we don't have something to eat, my younger brother likes to cook this one. We only call this fishball because the process in cooking this one is like cooking fishball, but this was made with carrots, potato, cabbage and cheese. The Worst Photo This was taken last December when we visit my grandma. I told my younger brother to take photos of the boats, as the lights looks really great. He did, he was so serious taking shots, but after I review his shots, this what I discovered. So clear, really clear. The Best Photo I would like to put here our whole family photo, the one with our relatives last Christmas celebration, but since I don't like to share personal stuffs, so I will go with this one. This was before Typhoon Odette, and it keeps on raining in our place, then finally it stopped at night. Me and mom go out to have some walk, I try to take some shots in our flower, and I love the results. A Photo of Someone I Admire Ofcourse I admire my parents, but I will just share this one. This art materials are from the person that I admire aside from my parents. That someone gave this gift last Christmas, I don't ask any gifts from him but he did. So much grateful for this. Funniest Photo This is our cat Sushi, a photo of her trying to seduce the other cat in a distance. Lol! So days before I take this one, there's an unknown cat who enter our house. My younger brother get angry and told us why it was there, then my mom said "*It is Sushi who called that cat"*. But then my brother didn't believed and insist that Sushi is not like that. Until I saw Sushi doing this the other day. I captured her as an evidence that she like to flirt hahha A Place I have Susan Beach Resort, a perfect place to go boating. I've been in many places but I want to share this because I'm with my friends and church member that time; we celebrate our Christmas Party. A Selfie I suppose not to include this one as I don't have selfie on my phone; I don't like to take and I'm not comfortable sharing my/our photos. Wasted Time and Effort *Money is essential and because of this we do our best in order to give money to our family and ourselves. I felt sad because I don't have money that time, so I only back out. 2 weeks after, another bestfriend of mine joined the same online business platform, I decided to talk to my parents and asked 2k+ as I'm eager to join. My parents warn me in this kind of online businesses but I insist to them that it's not a scam as I trust my bestfriends. Finally they agreed, give me the money, and it's even my father who send the money through remittance center. After 2 days, my bestfriend chatted me congratulating that I finally have my account and I can use it to start earning. I just follow her instructions until I realized that she haven't explain how to cashout the money, so I chat her the next day asking about that matter, then she replied "*you can cashout it when you have an invite*", I was shocked after she said it because she didn't told me ahead that I need to invite before I can cashout. I didn't tell anything to offend her, so I only do my best to atleast invite. I'm also scared to tell it to my parents since they already warm me. I don't like to post in Social Media but because of this I post everyday just to invite, I join 20 active fb businesses groups where I can post about those platform, I do it every noon and evening and replied every comment asking "how",sometimes in a day I replied 100 persons, explain them everything and end up nothing because I honestly say them that they need to invite first because they can cashout. Still I do my best, I edit, organize my message for their FAQS and learn the business more and more. Until finally, I invite 3 persons but I felt so sad because these 3 persons that I invite was too shy to invite other people, so they end up no income and stop. After I cashout I decided to stop it, at least I was able to get my capital after 3 months. I also can't stand to fool other people just for me to earn, so I totally quit. About my bestfriends who joined first, as of now they also stop, as we know our time and effort will be wasted. Earning Site There was a time that after I posted in fb group about that online business, ofcourse a lot chat me and one of it is Sir Clyde(*not his real name)*, he asked me how and when I told him what is it he laugh as he is also a member of that online business, we became close and honestly he is a good peeson. The other day, I post again about online business and I saw him posting too, I got curious about his post as it's all about earning but not the one that we joined together, I chat me asking how, and I'm so excited to join since invite is not compulsory, and you only need to do is wait every 24 hours then open the site to run your money; does it called mining? I forgot it. He add me on their gc, it was only few people that time, maybe 10 and I'm already one of it, since we are close I only chat him asking about it and he told me that he is only an invite 2 days ago and their goal is to make our population grow. I'm really interested to earn, I help him invite, I posts again in different fb groups about it and 90% of the people who said "how?" joined. One day, I invite this unknown person, I told him the step by step process to register, but when it's done and he showed me the screenshots of his profile, I've noticed that he didn't registered under my link. So I chat Sir Clyde to ask if this man can still earn, and he said yes but I don't have percentage, for me it's really okay the important is he can still earn. But then one member chat in our gc, asking for help to our head about his invite who was not registered in his link, since we have the same case I also said that one of my invite have the same problem. There are 3 head/admin that time, a business man and two moms, I think they don't know each other personally just they became head because they are the first invite of this business man, and they are stict, they even get angry why we made that mistake. They said a lot of things, that the company of that site will be angry, so we need to fix it as soon as possible. I think I already have 200+ Direct invites, and these invites also have invites, so names under my account are so many. Sir Clyde was so proud of me, and he also motivate me more. Since the head/admins in our GC are strict, most users pm me to ask questions. There's a member who ask a question which I don't know, so I decided to search it, until I discovered that there's no proof of income yet in that site. I didn't mind it and continue inviting until someone chat in our GC, "scam!" So what I did I search more about the site and took screenshots about it, I send it Sir Clyde, and he was also shocked to know that there's a big possibility that the site is a scam. After a month, we cannot open the site, and a lot of members are complaining in our GC, the two moms are not chatting again, but that business man was defending and saying that we just wait because they are fixing it, he have a contact to the owner of that site. Beaten Days Be Like *After a long week day, I spent my morning Saturday listening to music, watching funny videos on YouTube, then I go to Tiktok watching random videos again, so productive morning right? until I came up with a video about doing a POV of a child being angry to his parents after he was scolded. And yeah he was serious saying this, my younger brother always wants to leave our house everytime he was scolded, but he also ask for foods and to sent him there; like having a picnic. How kids react after being beaten; Became an actor Have you tried to think about your life after your parents have beaten you? Like you're thinking that *"I will leave the house, I will become a better person, I will not go back here, never!".* That you keep on crying, lying in bed covering yourself and thinking that your life was useless. Until at the middle of your crying moment, you face a mirror and saw your face, and immediately realized *"oh I'm so handsome/beautiful while crying."* Became talented After parents scold us we will discover some of our talents, like me, I tried this one when I'm in the bathroom crying so hard, then my crying sound has a tone, and I was doing *"MaaaAahhhh.... AaaAahhh.... Sounds good"* Sometimes I became a singer on my own. Became strong independent kid You don't ask your parents help as you're angry too. Just like my younger brother, he was scared to go to school alone, he always wants my mom to stay with him whole day at school. He will start to cry when he look at the window and my mom is not there, so my mom always sit in a bench where my younger brother can see him easily. Until my mom scold him being like this, as he was already in grade 2. He was beaten and after that my younger brother became a strong independent angry student. Lol! Make Myself Happy in Journal *There are different ways to turn our bad mood into a good one; we can do shopping, watching movies, read some books, play some games and many more. In my case, especially this pandemic, one of the most common way that I do, to make myself feel okay is doing journaling.* *I actually shared this one; that journaling is like writing a diary or taking some notes. Since before, I'm a big fan of arts, so when I don't feel good I would go for it. For now, I'll share some materials that I used in journaling, those that I used more often.* ***But first let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. You can use it whole since it have different sizes, or you can cut it half and put in both ends of your paper. If you are out of budget, you can use recycled papers, that is what I did before when I don't have money to buy some, it's all about your creativity. Washi Masking Tape I already used some of it :D I'm sorry I cannot show it's design but I bought these in Shopee, because at mall they only have plan washi tape and glitters. I have glitters too but I already used it all. This Tape is used for design, to attached your notes in a more creative way, but I commonly use this as a base. After I put Journal paper, I then add Washi Tape for it to look more attractive. Stickers Box Stickers This is called box stickers because it's shape is box. Lol! DIY Stickers Why DIY? Because I only download these photos from Google, then I print it. After that I put scotch tape to make it glossy. Lastly, I cut them and here's the finished product. Btw, I make these black envelopes to put my diy stickers. For example that black envelope with a cat sticker, it means that these envelop if for my cat stickers. Golden and dot stickers These are my favorite because of it's elegant design; easy to use and worth to buy. When I was in Primary I always buy stickers in our school. I got addicted that I only spend my money on it, I don't use it always, but just to satisfy my eyes, it became one of my biggest collection that time. During my birthday, I ask my parents to buy me stickers as a gift; the good thing is they support me. Memo pad/Sticky note pad For those who like to have a good output but lazy to make a design, then I recommend you to buy sticky note pads with design already. There's a lot in stores, but I only have these. Again when I was in primary, my grade 5 teacher was selling sticky note pad. There's no design, only plain but different colors. I use all my savings that time just to buy all the colors that she sell. Everytime there's announcement or notes to be taken, I'm so inspired to write it using these sticky notes. Don't worry I also have good grades that time. Lol! Sample Output I only use few materials on this, since I'm in a "*tipid*" mode. I usually finish designing everything before writing on it, there's a lot of sample designs in YouTube, but it need a lot of materials. I know someday I can buy those; there's no age limit in art. While for writing, I prefer colored pens or glitters, it will add beauty on your work. So why I like to do journaling is it makes me relax, just looking at these cute staffs already make me happy. It challenge my creativity, everytime I only have limited materials, I become creative and resourceful. And lastly, my dedication to write boost; I don't know if you feel the same but I love to write in a clean and made of art paper. Father's New Phone *Seeing my father happy is one of the best moment that I treasure a lot. I can say that I am a daddy's girl. When I was a kid, I like to accompany him in his work and even thought that if I have the chance to choose my gender I will go for being a boy, atleast my physical strength is strong enough to help him; but that's before I'm totally thankful being a girl :D* *Why I talk about is because I want to share how happy he is having a new phone.* ***But first let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. We just listen those noises until it was ended, we sent him text message but no response. After 3 days my father got home, so we asked him what happened; why when we call him there's a lot of noises, but he said "...... I can't hear your voice there, and I'm okay that time, I'm with Jomarie(his friend)" From that he sell the phone and my aunt give him a touch screen Samsung, I think Galaxy S3. He was so happy with his phone because it's a touchscreen, he enjoy using it. There's a time that he got irritated when we keep on saying what to do, what he must click, and he told us *"don't teach me, I know how!"*, we are all quiet until someone texted him, and he asked with a soft voice, *"where I can see his message?" Lol!* Since that phone is second hand it doesn't last for a long time, it doesn't work well and my aunt give him another phone the Lenovo. Actually he like this phone more because he was able to watch YouTube videos there, he scold us watching videos late night but when he learn how to watch videos in yt, he keeps on doing it. He likes to watch videos about animals btw. He keeps on using the phone, especially about his work until it is so lag now. Two weeks ago his friend called him and he wasn't able to answer it because his phone immediately shutdown. Yes, aside from being lag, it's battery already have a problem. He use different charger and spent 1k just to fixed the phone but it's all useless. His friend bought new appliances, and fortunately there's a free Samsung Keypad phone. His friend insist to give him the phone, and so excited to tell us that he is going to have a new phone. *Fast forward...* He arrived at home yesterday holding a box, he even forget to bring the vegetables, since he is focus on the box. Then he said,*"I already buy my phone it's worth 100,000."* Yeah he is just joking. It's the phone that his friend gave him. He open it and read the manual from the start up to last; no one disturb him. After reading the menu he told my younger brother to transfer all his contact to his new phone, then after he call a lot of his contact like his conversation to his one friend; **Father :** *Bro!* **His friend :** *yes bro! What's the matter?* **Father :** *nothing, I have a new phone*. **His friend** : *oh, that's nice.* **Father :** *yes, is my voice loud and clear?* **His friend** : *yes* **Father :** *okay thank you. Words of Wisdom in my Life **Note:** ***This is based on my personal beliefs, understanding, and experiences; I sincerely hope that respect for all religions, especially my own (Roman Catholic), continues to exist.*** *As a Christian, you must read the Bible. It is one means for us to gain not only knowledge but also wisdom, and it is a moment for us to listen to God. We keep asking so many things that we don't even take the time to listen to what He has to say.* *One of my goals is to read the Bible every night: I'll tell you, it became an addiction/habit for me, like when you l asleep inadvertently and wake up in the middle of the night wondering, "Did I forget something?" In addition, I'd like to share some of my favorite scriptures for this article. As a Christian, this has a positive impact on me. When I was younger and participated in religious activities such as DVBS, this was usually the first verse that the teachers/instructors wanted us to learn. I've learned the significance of this verse as I've grown older. Stop doing useless things in your life, God offer His Son's life to serve as the living sacrifice for our sins. Is it not shameful that you're wasting the life that He have given to you? Proverbs 3:5 "*Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding"* I discovered this verse during my sadness, I am having a bad day that time and I used to open my bible just to read one verse(as I've said it became addiction), this is the verse that appeared when I opened the bible; this make my heart filled with love. There are times that we are worried about the decisions that we make, that we forgot how important to make a plan with God, to ask His guidance. Proverbs 5:1 "*My son be attentive to my wisdom; inclined your ear to my understanding "* I don't know if you have experienced this one, but we have city park, there are a lot people especially couples lol. This happened before when I'm in first year college, after our class me and my bestfriend went to this park to unwind until there are two ladies who came and asked if she can have our time even 10 minutes only. Of course me and my bestfriend agrred, because she approach in a good way, until she start to talk about her religion and beliefs; I'm not gonna tell about it since I also respect it. What she teach is really against on what we know, she was still using a bible but her interpretation is different, we try to explain her the real meaning behind it but she said that we got it wrong. So we just listen to her, atleast we can know more about her beliefs. I think it last for 20 minutes. She told us that if we want to be save she can teach us more, we can find her on the same time and same place. While going home my bestfriend told me "*Ling let's go back tomorrow to see her again, and let's take note those verses that she said, I will ask my sister about it so we can explain to her the right meaning about it."* I actually love her idea, and when I got home I ask my father about those verses because my father is a Layca(who teaches the Word of God). The next day there are three of us, our boy bestfriend also accompany but when he discovered that we are going to met those ladies teaching about different doctrine, he scold us and said that we must go home. Me and bestfriend just ignore him, actually we are both Christian but in different religion, still we respect our own beliefs. So that boy bestfriend leave us, and scare me saying, "*I will tell this to your father!" Lol!* We finally met the lady again, we are already on the next season, she continue to teach and we explain her our own beliefs, but she still insist that their teaching will save us more. We met her again for the third time but that's the last because for the fourth meeting she is already inviting us to their church. This verse Proverbs 5:1 serve as my shield with other teachings. I know I didn't master the bible and I don't have enough knowledge about this, but the wisdom that God shared to me is very powerful. Old Beliefs : Another part of our Childhood *It's another throwback everyone! The things I'm about to say are based on my childhood beliefs, and I'm sure some of you may relate. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ Flying Lice Okay, first and foremost, I have had lice myself. I'm also the type of kid who enjoys playing outside in the sun and socializing with other kids, so I always came home with this. I even recall one of my bestfriends putting lice in my hair that she had taken from her own. Then she said "Bestfriend you have lice!" She don't know that caught her doing it. So every weekend, my mother does this "suyod" thing to pull lice and their eggs out of my hair. Because it irritates and hurts me when my mother pulls strands of my hair, she always get angry and told me, *"Okay fine! Keep those lice in your hair, they'll fly and it bring you to the top of a tree."* I was terrified of what she said, so I endured the pain just to avoid flying. *Lol!* Tooth Fairy It's common for a child to lose teeth right? To have a new one and remove the one using thread, or what so ever you use. So when we finally got it wether we put under the bed or the one that I'm curious is my mom prefer to put it in the holes in our house. I asked her what's the reason of it, but she always doesn't answer until she scold me of asking a lot. But based on my own interpretation *(charr!)*, teeth is the strongest bone-in our body, by it's enamel it became the hardest part of our body; so maybe my mom put it in the holes to give a strong foundation in our house. For those who do the same and know the meaning behind this, please let me know. Seeds that may grown inside your stomach This is common everytime we eat Watermelon, imagine how many seeds it have. Thisis not from my parents but my friends, they told me that we should not eat seeds because it will grow inside our body. There's a time when we're eating guava and I guess I inadvertently eat the seed. This makes me very nervous, and because I don't want to tell my parents about it, I keep drinking a lot of water and praying that it doesn't develop. White on your nails can give you money I remember I've once have this while patches in my nails, and I'm so excited that time because according to my friends when it reach the end of my nail or the Distal Edge, I will trim my nails and bury in the ground, this will turns to a money the next day. Ofcourse I did, when it finally reach the end, I cut it and buried beside our house, the next day I'm so excited to go back and see when there's already a money, but there's none. Sweeping floor at night is a bad luck We still actually do the 50% of this belief. Why 50%? Because we currently sweep the floor but never throw the dust, dirt, and other debris outside the house. We simply place it next to our door and throw it in the morning. This idea implies that a blessing is bestowed upon you every night. Those blessings will also cover your floor, so sweeping it and throwing it outdoors will result in losing your luck. *That's it everyone, I hope you learn something or to remember those days when we have crazy beliefs. Happiest For Them, Worst For Me *I was having a busy day the reason tha I wasn't able to visit most of the articles here, but earlier when I'm having a vacant I read some articles, then I came up with* @MidnightSky *'s article,* *Reminiscing First Dance**. This was about her prom experience, the romantic feelings she have that night. According to most seniors, that this event is the most happiness part of highschool or college life. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ I was studying in a public school since kindergarten, until when I got in 4th year highschool I transfer to a Private school and where a lot of things changed. Because it is a private school, the majority of my classmates are wealthy, and they dress in expensive clothing and eat expensive foods. The good news is that I have some classmates who have transferred there as well, so I am not alone. Months had passed, we are able to cope up with their environment, but still our habit as a former student in public school still exist; we save money, we only buy cheap foods, we don't buy foods during lunch in the canteen, we prefer to bring our own rice and viand. It is the school's tradition to have a prom every other year. So, when the officers of the SSC (Supreme Student Council) announced that there would be a prom, everyone was ecstatic, except for us transferees, who dislike extravagant gatherings. I told my friends that I will not go to the party, and they responded saying that they would not be attending as well. Lol! The next day, our adviser made a final announcement regarding the prom, saying, *"Everyone must attend the prom, and if you don't, you still have to pay ₱2,000($40)."* My friends and I were shocked, and we have decided to go so that we can at least feel the money we will be paying. *Fast forward...* It's already the prom day, the theme was Club Party, so we must wear club dresses ofcourse. I was wearing plain black with long-sleeved dress, like this one; I'm actually not comfortable, but I don't have a choice, it's also my mom's bestfriend who give me this to wear. The prom will start at 6 PM, so my bestfriend went to our house at 3 pm, to dress and do make-up. Both of us don't do make-up, but still we do our best to put some but and the end it's so messy, the mascara spread in our eyes, the lipstick is not align, we also don't know how to use eyebrows; at the end we wash our face, then only put Johnson powder and lip tint. I am not prepared, that I forgot that I need to wear sandal which I don't have, I only wear sneakers. I don't have a choice but to use the 6-7 inches high heels; my heels during pageant. We only commute that time, imagine passing in the city, in the market, wearing sexy dress and heels. Seems like my soul will go out in my body. What's the more irritating part is the driver don't know where the exactly venue is, we keep on roaming around, almost 30 minutes of finding the resort, imagine how haggard we are that time already. Finally we got there, every girls was wearing heavy make-up, some went to the saloon while some have their own makeup artist. They already fall in line, the program is going to start and we need to have the entrance portion. They was like *"why you two don't wear make-up?",* we answered them that we don't know how to use it, so while marching, our other friends fix our hair and put make-up on us. Lol! What's another irritating thing that time is my partner, I don't know what happened to him, but he is so shy, while during practice he keeps on standing beside me just to make sure that we are the partner. I don't know if I'm beautiful or ugly that time that makes him uncomfortable. Lol! Btw, I don't have phone that time so I really don't know how I look like. About the dance? There's no dance, just like a program or like we're talking in the club. The last and the worst of all, during the ending ceremony, our adviser was calling our names one by one to get our certificate. But what happened? When it's my turn the heels on my sandal broke. I can still rememy mind keeps on saying *"I hate this! I hate this! I hate this!"* At the end, I go home carrying my sandal, barefoot. It's On The Road *First of all, I want to say that this topic is something scary, so if you're not into reading scary stories then see you on my next article. He is a jeepney driver, that time tricycle is not that popular in our place, jeepney is the number one transportation, so he always go home late like 11 PM. *For my friends in other countries who doesn't know how the jeepney looks like, here it is;* One night when he was going home, driving alone because his work is done. He saw a family beside a road, there's a father, a mother and a young girl which obviously their daughter. Although my bestfriend's father was done with his work, he still stop to that family and asked if they want a ride. The woman say yes and told him that she will just approach if they reach their destination. He agreed and family sit at the last part of the jeep. He look at the mirror to see if the family was already seated and when it's done he start to drive. He was so focus in driving, until he remember that there are family at the back. So he asked, *"Ma'am where do you live?"* No one response, he then look back and saw nothing. Fortunately, it only gave him goosebumps, but he arrived home safe. About the place where it happened? It's already close now for more or less 5 years. Due to selfish people, they close the area, and still do nothing but abandoned. Imagine how creepy it is more now. The Missing dog When I was in Highschool my father work as delivery driver using our own Bongo truck. Sometimes they deliver fishes, packages, *"lipat bahay",* and many more. We have this family friend, let's name him Mark. He always accompany my father, so when my father is tired and need some help Mark was there to assist. One night, they are going home after they deliver frozen fish to a far place. They are passing a dark road, no street lights, no houses, only big trees and fields on both side. Father and brother Mark are just busy talking when suddenly they hit a dog. They didn't see the dog but they know it based on the noise that it create. *Have you heard a crying dog or a dog that was hit? That's how it react.* So my father immediately stop the truck and both of them get out to look where it is. They look below the car, on the road, both side of it, but none. It's also impossible to have a dog in that place because there no house at all. They both go inside the truck and drive fast, as it take almost 1 hour before they reach a road with lights. The Unknown This happened when my father went to a birthday party of his friend. It's common to them to drink hard-drinks, so obviously my father go home drunk. His friend, the birthday boy get his motor and volunteer to bring my father home. My father's friend decided to go for a shortcut. It's a quiet and a bit of creepy road, but he chose it so they will arrived fast. At the middle of the round, there's a woman with long hair standing from a distance. She was wearing long clothe, but not totally clear since it's already night and only the light from the post make her visible. Both of my father and his friend just ignore it, until when they already passed the woman it look and run after them. My father shouted, *"she's coming!".* So his friend make it fast, but the woman still reach my father's shirt. My father pull his shirt and they go faster. The next day, they go back in that road and asked the residence if there are *"aswang"* in their place. Manifesting about something to happened is a good, but respecting God especially on how you pray is much better. ***Speaking of manifesting, there are some techniques that people do to perform this. Here are some examples :*** The 777 Manifestation For this one, you need a clean paper and write 3 sets of numbers, 1-7. On the first set, write your name, ofcourse your complete name. I just only made an example below without last name. Then on the second set of 1-7, write there the wish that you want to be granted. For example you want to pass the exam, then write *"Ling passed the exam."* We will use the second person point of view, and we will assume that it already happened. So, the words will, should, would, anything like this is excluded. While on the last set, write your wish again in the manner that it will going to happen, like *"Ling is going to pass the exam".* After completing the 3 sets, write below the scenario or feeling that you want to have by achieving that wish. Like *"Ling passed the exam and all her classmates are so proud of her. He received a lot of appreciation from her teachers"*. Lastly, write 3 big *"Thank you"* words at the bottom of the paper, that you're thankful it happened. About the paper, you can do whatever you want after it, some keep the paper while others throw it. The power of manifesting already happened during the process, so it's up to you what you gonna do with the paper. You can do it anytime and how many times, but I prefer you to do this(*if you want)* before you sleep or night prayers. 55×5 manifestation This is like the 777 manifestation, you also need a clean paper or notebook. You need to write your wish, as it's already happened, present tense. For example "I am having a healthy and happy family", you need to write this sentence 55 times within 5 days. It's also up to you when you want to do it. Whispering manifestation You can do this every night when you're about to sleep. Others are doing this while listening to music but still it's up to you. So when you're already sleepy, think about someone that you want to talk to, just whisper a short sentence or phrase. It Makes Me Embarrassed *I know it's commonly set Thursday as the throwback day, but let me bring back those memories that makes me embarrassed. My mind is not feeling well since last night that I turn out sleeping late, so this meme really suits* on me. ***But first let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. It was during our flag ceremony when our year level was assigned to lead. It was a normal thing that the first section take care of it, so being on the first section I am the one of those students who lead. I have this attitude of always saying "*yes*" in every tasked that our teachers give, so when our adviser told me to sing the "*Ako ay Pilipino,"* I agree immediately. Until... I realized that I didn't used to sing and not even good about it, but it's to late to back out because we're already in the flagpole. Few minutes it's already my turn, and I can feel the heat in my face, for sure it's already turning red because I'm shytype person; what I have done. So what I did is, at the middle of the song, I'm opening my mouth but no voice come out, acting like the microphone have problem. For me, that time last for hours, and that's the last time I agreed to sing in a flag ceremony. Interacting a wrong person I think some of us here have experienced this. And I do, twice in my life. First at the mall, I'm with my friend that time and we are looking for T-shirt, until someone was waving from behind. As an exchange, I also wave at him, thinking that I know him. But when he is near, I noticed that his eyes is looking behind me. When I turn back, there it is a girl waving at him too. Lol! He smile at me, and I want to cover my face because of what I did. Second, at the school canteen. It was recess time and there's a lot of students. Me and my close friends have this what we called "friendly insult", like making fun to each other. So, we're done buying, but when I turn back there's a student who has a body that really looks like our boy bestfriend. He was talking to other students, we can only see his back, so I shouted at him; I forgot what insulting word I used that time. We laugh so hard, and a lot of students hear it, but when the boy turn around, it's not our friend and we didn't know him. We are so shy that time, especially me, but fortunately the boy accept our apology and understand that it's just a mistake. Being an advance mindset This happened when I was in Highschool, we are having our discussion in Economics. Before that day, our teacher told us that she will going to have recitation, but since I don't like to study(maybe) that time, the day came without me scanning notes. She start to discuss and call some of my classmates to answer her questions, since I don't like to feel ashamed that I cannot answer her question, so what I did if I open our book and read it. Her next question have 3 possible answers, so when she called my classmate and answered the first possible answer, I then memorized the second possible, also I create my own explanation to it. Here it go, she called me and I stand up immediately, and say what I memorized and explain further. Everyone was so quiet, until our teacher laugh then everyone in the class because she even didn't say any question yet. What my teacher said? *"I suppose to ask you different question."* Again, I was like what I have done. That's it everyone! How about your own experience? He is into science and mathematics who help ancient Egyptians about the natural phenomenon. Ra He is the god of sun, a human in form but a head of hawl. In Egyptian stories, Ra's sweat and tears form human being, the reason why it they called *"Cattle of Ra"*. Hathor She is the goddess of sky and the symbolic mother of the earthly representatives, the pharaohs. Filipino Ways of Celebrating New Year, Featuring Chinese Tradition. *Chinese tradition became a big part of our way of living, especially us Filipinos in celebrating New Year. Feng Shui is a Chinese practice, that teach us the do's and don'ts in order to create a harmonious surroundings. This is a belief that will give us good fortune and cast away evil spirits and bad luck.* *I already shared how we celebrate for the past New Years, so for today, I would like to share how we welcome the year 2022 by the beliefs from our old ways of following Feng Shui or Chinese tradition.* ***But first let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. You guys can check them too:)*** 13 Rounds Fruits Why 13? There should be only 12 fruits which represents the 12 months of the year, the additional one means bonus or additional luck. We have this sayings, "The more, the merrier" so if you want more prosperity for your whole year then better to make it 13. In our family, we eat one kind of fruit everyday. For example, January 1 we will eat the apple, then on January 2 we will eat the melon, up to January 13, the last fruit on the table. Speaking of fruits, let me add this one. We used to make bracelets using grapes. Every bracelet contains 8 pieces of grapes. Why 8? Because in Chinese tradition, number 8 means luck. If you look at the number 8, it also represents the symbol of infinity, which means that the blessings that will come to you is infinite. This is not use for our wrists, but to hang in our doors and windows. That when the New Year come, these bracelets will attract the prosperity. Prosperity Candles At 11:50 we are going to light all these candles so when the New Year come it's already set. If for Halloween candles are used to lighten the path of the souls of our loved ones, then for New Year these candles bring prosperity. Prosperity Bowl Okay in here, what we prepared was not placed in a bowl, but let me explain what the meaning of every container. I asked my mom and according to her; Oil - "When you wash the oil, there's always left right? This means that in every situation even how hard life is, we always have something left. We will not live nothing." Sugar - "for a sweet life" Salt - "it's essential in cooking, in every viand that we cook we use salt. This will give luck to all our essential needs. " Cotton - "it is light weight. This will remove the burden and heavy problems that might happened in our life. Light weight, easy life." Prosperity Coins This is for wealth and good fortune. Who doesn't like to have prosperity in money right? Money is essential too, we can't have our daily needs when we don't have money; this also includes the Ang Pao. Old Times of New Year *Three days to go and it's already 2022! Time to start with a new beginning, and time to make yourself better. I know most of us are excited, even me, because different kinds of food again.* *But for now, I would like to share my previous New Years, especially when I was a kid. Those times when everyone of us in our place unite, just to welcome the New Year with full of love and happiness.* ***But first let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ Before, When I was a kid, we celebrate New Year with other families. We used to buy Fountain, and place it in front of our house or at the middle of the covered court(just located 3 meters away from our house). Our family was assigned to this kind of firecracker, while our neighbors are assigned to sky fireworks, some are to rockets, and for us kids they give us Sparklers. At 11 pm, every parents in our place start to prepare those firecrackers. They put it in our basketball court, while the others are place in front of every houses too. Piccolo is also common that time, I'm really scared of it, not just because I know it's dangerous, but also of it's loud noise of explosion. We also have trumpet toy that time. I'm really into trumpet, I get sad if my parents don't buy this one, as for me that time, it doesn't look New Year if we don't have trumpet. Then, At exactly 12 am, everyone will light all the firecrackers, while we kids are holding Sparkers. We keep on jumping, as it's a belief that we will grow tall, but it's not effective on me. Lol! My mom also throw coins inside and outside our house. She also likes to hide money in our pillows and give us Ang Pao. For those who are not familiar with Ang Pao, this is how it looks, This is a red card or envelope, which used to put a money, this means goodluck and wealth. During that time, we are so much blessed with our family business that in every New Year we prepare foods for our neighbors, that everyone who wants to eat are welcome. Below our altar, we put a mini table and above it are 12 candles with different colors. Each color represents trait or element. Just like red, it represent strength, Pink for love, and yellow for happiness. Actually, there's a lot of traditional beliefs that we follow. Me and my mom likes to watch TV news about Feng shui, and list down all those things that can gives us good luck on New Year. Above this, we start it with a prayer, this is the most important of all. I also have this habit of collecting gifts, I mean when I recieved a gift I didn't open it. Since most of Christmas, we celebrate it in my grandma's house, then I open all my gifts at New Year's eve. My younger brother are more excited to see what's inside, although he know that it's a girly thing but still he keeps on asking what's inside. But all this happiness changed, when the demolition happened. We are able to pay and stay, but 90% of our neighbors lost their houses. As of these recent New Years, due to some reasons, priorities, and lack of money, we haven't perform and prepare the usual New Year set-up in our house. I really miss a lot, especially our good neighbors. By God's will this upcoming New Year will be full of blessings, happiness, love and wealth. I may not be so active during that time, but I'll try my best to share how we celebrate New Year. A lot of things change as years passes by, I remember 2012 as end of the world. But look, God is so loving and kind, that He still let us live and chance to make right. It's Forgotten *Being a Christian, specifically about being a Catholic, remembering the death of our love ones is very important. It became a tradition to celebrate death anniversary, not because we are happy that they are gone, but because it's the day the he/she are going to live with our God, and also to remember those days that they are together with us.* *Aside from visiting the cemetery during Halloween season, we also prefer to visit the cemetery during death anniversary. The time when a family or with relatives gathered to offer a prayer and food.* *Last December 18, was my grandfather's death anniversary, this supposedly the day that we must visit him at the cemetery, but this is what happened.* ***Let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. I am busy doing a lot of things, while my younger brother went to his friend's house at noon, as they are going to have a basketball league. There is no sign for us to remember that it is the death anniversary of my grandpa, except for a big brown butterfly who visited in our house at afternoon. I don't know if you already know this belief, but for us Filipino, this means that the spirit of your loved ones visiting you. I told to them that there's a butterfly, and my father responded, "Money!" Yes, according to some beliefs, this also means goodluck and money. We are having a business, waiting for it to boom, so we just all agree to my dad. The next day, I don't know what came to my father's mind, because he remembered and said with a loud voice, *"luh! It's father's death anniversary yesterday!"* We are all freeze at that time, thinking *"yeah it is."* I really feel bad that time, and told my dad, that we can just visit him before Christmas eve. He agreed, and then we just wait for that day. But.. On the day, December 24 my parents have misunderstanding, so we ended up leaving the house 6 pm. We again forgot it, as while traveling our focus are; what to prepare, it's grandma's birthday, did we bring this or that. At the end. We haven't visit my grandpa. According to my father, he visit to my grandma's house last December 18, even our relatives there forgot that special day, which is unusual. My father also said, that maybe grandma remember that day, but she is just quite waiting for his children to tell what's the plan, but everything goes nothing. As of now, I am still holding this burden in my heart that we haven't visit my grandpa. He is so good to us, and all those days that I'm with him, there's only love and happiness. Now I feel bad, I want to tell my dad to visit him before New Year, but I don't know why there's other side of my brain, pulling me not to tell it. But I will. And it is God's plan, whether we can visit or not. Btw, from the night of December 25 until now, there's always a butterfly who are visiting in our house, I think it's already five different butterflies. This may be nothing to some, but for me, for us, it's a good thing. That's My Christmas *Before I will start sharing my Christmas celebration, I would like to say that I am so happy that finally I was able to use read.cash in Chrome, by this I can upload photos and feel comfortable. Actually, my mom and dad had a misunderstanding, because father keeps on telling to mom that she must move quickly as they are waiting for us. Still, father keeps on insisting that mom is so slow, until mom gets angry, then father too, until they are just exchanging words. Lol* The first plan was, we are going to celebrate Christmas at home, since the space is much bigger suits for everyone of us. But my uncle asked them that we just have it in their house*(they are just neighbor of grandma),* because he is renovating their house and he wants the Christmas blessing for it. Fast forward.... We finally arrived at 6 pm, and my cousins are already waiting for me and my younger brother, as we are going to attend the mass. Fortunately, we arrived at the chapel early, so we had the first mass. As usual, there's a lot of people so we end up standing outside the chapel; which I really don't like because I can't concentrate. After the mass, we go back and start to decorate. We have three occasions for that night; Christmas, grandma's birthday (*yes, December 25 too)*, and thanks giving for my cousin who passed the Licensed Professional Teacher in her first take. You know the feeling that you want to make the decorations looks stunning, but you're running out of materials? That's what we feel that time. We haven't prepared so much, so at the end it only looks so simple. At exactly, 12 am; it's Christmas! We all gathered and have our prayers lead by my father. And then, we gave my grandma a money cake. Here's how it look The amount is secret:D We also have another cake, which taste like a lemon, it's really me who said first, *"why this cake taste sour?"* This are the foods that we put on the table. We ate a LOT, then giving of gifts Btw, here's my mom's gift for my cousins. Inside these are 10ml perfumes. We chose random scents, so during giving of gifts all are fair, what you picked is what you get. Our business perfumes for We dance, we sing in videoke, talk, and laugh, then sleep at 3 am. Susan Beach : 2021 Christmas Party *Finally, after a long wait, our church Christmas party happened yesterday. Christmas party is one of the most awaited event in every school, church, friendship, family and any Christian organization.* *I'm sorry if I wasn't able to share some photos because it doesn't load. I don't know if it's my accounts problem or the new update.* *But I hope, you guys still enjoy this.* ***But first let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ Yesterday, December 20 at 7 am when we all gathered in church. Actually, this Christmas is not so exciting for me as two of our bestfriends wasn't able to attend. But yeah, we are still hoping tha it will be fun although we are incomplete. Going there, I only bring two Watermelons, we already pay for our food, so to add more, we bought fruits and soft drinks. There are more or less 60 of us, this is just a small number if everyone was able to attend. We use three vehicles. Me and my close friends prefer to choose the Bongo truck, since it's open air and no problem for a long travel, except the two of us; Cris and Ange who want to ride in the van. No choice, at the end we all chose the van. What's funny thing is, when we are half in our destination, Cris and Ange doesn't feel well and wants to vomit. Look, how desperate they are to use the van, now we all have a problem. Fast forward... We finally arrived in Susan Beach, Maasim. Everyone of us are so happy, and excited to go out. Our head coordinator book two cottages, so when we arrived we immediately go there. We fix all our things and prepare the food, while waiting for the others. Some of our members arrived 12 pm, so we first have our lunch then after our Praise and worship. Yes, before we start to enjoy the beach, we must first listen to the Word of God, give thanks and sing praises to Him. Our guests speaker was a young Pastor, I really love how he speak because direct and fun. He focus about decision making, that in every decision we make we should do it with God. He said also to not waste our time for useless things, and not to wait for us to grow old before we serve to our almighty God. Learn and improve yourself more, use it to be a good example to others. Don't let the world change you, be the change for good. We commonly say, *"We are just human, it's normal to make a sin",* so when you will think it's bad, when you're already a demon? Lastly, he remind all of us, not to enter in a relationship without asking permission to God. After the praise and worship, we do a team building, we are divided into 5 groups. At the end, we are only third runner-up because we are the last team who finished the first station, as we just keep on laughing and wasn't able to finish the task quick. When the Team Building is done, we get our prices and time to swim. We enjoy the beach so much, the good thing is, it's not so hot that time; no no to sunburn, but my face is red already. Lol! One of our close friend invite us to go for a boat ride, ofcourse we all agree and immediately pick a boat that we want. Fortunately, we picked a big boat with a very kind operator. He bring us to beautiful spots, and stop in a clear area where we can go down using lifevest. So nice that the water is clear we can see the underwater because if not I will really not dare to go down. We really like the boat operator, he is so respectful and know how to bond with us. He even take photos of us using his own phone, maybe he also enjoy seeing how close we are. Since some of the members wants to go with us but the boat can only have 10 persons as a maximum, so they ride in other boat. When we are done, we swim again and after few minutes they arrived with a poker face, we are all laughing saying, *"do you guys really enjoy the ride?"* Then, we eat again and back to swim. Yeah, we can swim whole day, it's not a problem, maybe this is the effect when you can only swim in a beach once of twice a year. *Lol* Finally it's already 6:30 pm and we need to change clothes as we will go 7 pm. We clean our cottage, put all our things inside the van. Simbang Gabi : A Christmas Tradition ***Simbang gabi*** *o* ***Misa De Gallo*** *is a traditional way of series mass for Catholics before Christmas day. It started 9 days before December 25, and happened every night, but for now it is usually done by dawn.* *It's been many years the last time I completed the 9 days of Simbang Gabi. The sad thing about it is I haven't go for Simbang Gabi this year. I want to, but due to some circumstances, I cannot join the mass.* *For today, I gonna share some unforgettable things that we do those past Simbang Gabi. Just have some throwback, atleast I can feel that I was still able to attend.* ***But first let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ When I was in Primary, my whole family used to go for *Simbang gabi*. We woke up 3 in the morning to prepare as the mass will start at 4 am. Most of the people who will attend the mass don't do bath as it's dawn and the wind is so cold. But my parents boil some water for us to use while taking a bath, we don't have choice but do take a bath, because according to my father, *"you are going to attend a mass, to face God, and you will not make yourself presentable? That's not right"*. We only walk, and that's make me excite and scared at the same time. Excited, because we are going to church and pass those houses with Christmas lights, the stars and the moon is so bright and clear, so while walking you can see it. Scared, because I like to watch horror movies when I was a kid, and since it's dawn, dark and quiet, I can imagine the scenario in the horror movie, I need to be strong and pretend that I'm totally fine. One main reason why I really love Simbang Gabi is; there's a lot of people. The number of people increased triple times, than the usual mass every Sunday. So, if you want to sit inside the church, you need to go there 2 am, if you cannot then you need to bring your own chair as you will attend the mass outside the church; yes, that's how many the people are. Why there's a lot of people than usual Sunday mass? It's because, aside from we are going to celebrate Jesus's birthday, a very special occasion, it's also a belief that once who have completed the nine days, then your wish will be granted. Outside the church, we have a big Christmas tree intended for Christmas cards, leaders in church sell Christmas cards and the income will be use for the church renovation. It only cost ₱5($0.10), but if you don't want to buy then you can make your own card and hang on the tree. As I remember, my parents bought a card, and it's my mom who wrote wishes, since I don't know what she wrote, then I made my own card and put it after the mass. After the mass, the choir will do a Christmas carol in front, then the money that they collect is use for charity; giving gifts for Christmas to chosen organization. Actually there's a lot of teens too. I know not all teens are like this, but as I observed they only attend the mass to meet their friends and bf/gf. The reason why I don't want to sit outside the church because I get distracted with their loud voice, imagine the leader is already reading the holy Word of God, then they also have their own topic. One thing, if you're single and looking for someone for Christmas, then for sure you are going to see a lot of beautiful and handsome faces. If you always attend Sunday mass, you will think, *"Why I only see him/her now?"*. Because in reality, most don't attend Sunday mass because they are busy or what excuses it is, while trying to attend the *Simbang gabi* to enjoy or to grant their wish; but at least right. Above all, the feeling during *Simbang Gabi* is really amazing, like everytime you finished a mass, there's a fulfilment and joy that you can feel. What's more exciting is during the Christmas eve, I mean hours before the Christmas eve. This usually happened 8 pm, so before 12 am everyone was already in their family. This is the most heartwarming feeling of us. One of the best is when the priest utter a prayer, and everyone of us holding each others hand, whether you know that person or not. Imagine how powerful it is. While writing this, I really miss those days that we whole family complete the mass up to Christmas eve. I do hope, that at least we can attend mass on Christmas eve. Wizard : School of Magic *Do you like to watch magical movies, like Harry Potter? If you do, then I hope that you will like what I am going to share this time.* *I'm fun of reading about supernatural things, until I read the book* *****A Starter Kit for Wizards***** ***by The Great Arcturus****. This book contains the basic information about Wizards, if you haven't watch Harry Potter, then Wizard is someone who can perform a spell.* ***But first let me Flex to you my sponsors, one of those persons who guide and support me throughout my journey here. Once a scout notice you, it will keep an eye on you and observe if you have a potential to become a Wizard. Those students that they chose after the discussion will undergo some challenge, for example a Wizard will do a disguise to give some task to the student, and once he is satisfied about the student's work then the Wizard will reveal his true identity. The Wizard will ask permission to the student's parents or guardian and when it's done, they will bring him/her to the Wizard College. *There is what they called* ***"Houses"****, these houses are divided into four divisions;* The House of the Elements This is divided into 7 schools or subjects : The School of Fire The School of Water The School of Air The School of Earth The School of Illusion The School of Conjuring The School of Nature The House of the Spirit Use spells from gods and goddesses The House of Light Use spells from bright side of the Universe, this includes the sun and stars. All the positivity in the universe : hope, life, happiness, etc. The House of Dark Use spells from the dark side of the Universe. All the negativity in the universe : destruction, sadness, guilt, etc. ***There are also 3 different ways to perform the spell.*** **1. Verbal** In order to perform the spell you must utter it. For example in the movie Harry Potter, *"Avada Kedavra."* What's the hard thing about this, is you must memorize words, once you say it wrong during trouble then nothing can help you **2. Gestures** Moving the fingers or hand is the common gestures to do a spell. The more accurate they performance the action the more powerful spell it produce **3. Components** Based on what I understand, this one is based on the formula that they combine in order to make some potions. We have here for example are the poison and love potion. ***Speaking of*** *****potion********, there are four levels of it;*** **Simple** - using basic ingredients. **Standard Potions** - combining two simple potions **Complex Potions** - combining two standard potions **The Fourth Level** - this is prohibited when you are just a student, this must be surrendered to the School Principal. Making this is like, you're planning to do bad thing. If we have ***Book of the dead in Egyptian mythology***, where we can find the spells and process of mummification, then the Wizards also have the *****Spell Book*****. Not a book where you can spell the word '*coop-d'etat*' but the book about magical spells. This serve as a guide or instructions to those students who are just practicing to do a spell. About the proper clothes of a wizard, the top among this is the cloak. Every style and color it wear tells about their rank and school of magic they specialized to. For example in the House of Element : *Fire(Red/Yellow), Air(White/Sky Blue), Water(Blue, Green, White), Earth(Brown, Green), Illusion(Multi-colors), Conjuring(Purple) and Nature(Green).* ..Then the hat and robe. At last, just like ordinary schools, in order to became a Wizard, you must pass those years in Wizard school and pass the exam. Go for a high grade! *That's it! We enjoy sightseeing, beautiful mountains in both side, and enjoy listening to our grandpa telling stories about the place, and the names of those fishes. After like half an hour, one of my cousin said, *"Grandpa, there's a water coming inside."* So we use our hands to scoop the water get out from the boat. The water came in so fast, until one of my cousin shouted *"we gonna die!"* It was actually funny for me seeing my cousin's reaction, as for me the water is not that much to drown us. But my grandpa replied, *"If we are going to die, then die".* Then everyone of us get panic, even myself got scared after he said it. So, we double speed scooping those waters until it was almost gone. *Lol!* Only need to get scared. We arrived in the seashore safe and scared. We immediately get out the boat and from that moment, I'm already scared to go deep part of the sea. As a **Thalassophobia**, it doesn't mean that we don't like the beach, of course we love it. The calmness it gives is something different and special, unless we are talking about deep bodies of water. Imagine, only 5% of the ocean has been discovered, what's behind those undiscovered? Another thing that makes me scared about ocean, is my beliefs about mermaids. I love to know more about mermaid, and since from the start, Ariel the Disney Princess which is a mermaid, is my favorite. Just I love her simple beauty and being supernatural, although all princesses are magical, she's on top for me. *These are some things that we Thalassophobia imagine everytime we go underneath. I know Sis* @BCH_LOVER *feel the same, she's a Thalassophobia too.* Sea Monsters Just like here in the Philippines, Bakunawa is considered as a sea monsters as in the story is live and hide underneath the ocean. Even the darkness itself, because the more it's dark the more you see the beauty of the night sky. Stop the Wedding *First and foremost, I'm not against about wedding and I didn't stop any wedding. Why I came up with the title? because I have witnessed a supposedly precious moment but felt like not. You guys can check them too:)*** ________________________ Last Saturday, I attended the wedding in one of my boy bestfriend. I'm actually confused about his wedding, as 2 weeks before that special day, he just sent in our GC, a message saying *"you are all invited in my wedding, just for those who want to attend"* then no more. Then we was like, excuse me, when, where, how and what *LOL*. Another is in his myday stories, I am not active in social media, but I can see his Myday because he is in the top of my featured stories; then it was all about sad things, like sometimes crying emojis. Lastly, the day before his wedding, I asked him where is the exact location of the church, then he just only replied *"I'm having a fever bestfriend, just chat you at night."* So what I did, is I chat my other friendship and asked, *"does he forced to married?".* *Fast forward..* We finally reached the church, it's a mass wedding. Then after, we need to go in their reception; the girl's house. We are in the car, 4 of us in the backseat, then the one who is driving is their family friend, while the other seat in front is my bestfriend's mother. *"It's done Tita,"* said by my gay bestfriend *"Yes, I have nothing to do with it"* *"Of course you have nothing to do now, your son already signed their marriage contract. Earlier, the priest asked if who wants to stop the wedding, why you didn't stand up? It's 3 minutes of waiting, a chance to stop the wedding but you didn't"*, said by the one who is driving So I asked my gay bestfriend if he was forced to get married, and he replied. *"Yeah, just like that. It's a very long long story."* Then we found out that it's not their will to marry at that time, that early. Although they love each other, but because of forced marriage, we cannot see the love anymore. Actually the couple are having poker face, and when my bestfriend saw us in the wedding, he have teary eye. Like wait, are you more happy to see us than your wedding itself? *LOL* Why they forced to married early, was because the girl is already pregnant and the girl's side want them to get married before she give birth. What's the sad thing is, all the decision is in the girls side while all the expenses is in the boy's side. Why I shared this one is because, I want to remind us that wedding is for lifetime and it's not a joke. If you're in a situation that you get pregnant or you make a girl pregnant, then think multiple times if you want that person to be your partner lifetime. In religious beliefs, just like Christianity, it is better to have a marriage first before having a baby. But since we have the freedom to do and choose what we want, then premarital sex became normal. According to my Psychology teacher, it is okay to do love making even you're just bf-gf, but make sure you only do it with him/her, faithful with your partner; then I was like *"wow, oh okay, it's really normal now a days".* Back about marriage, the reason why some of girls force to marry a man is because, they want their baby to have a complete family. But.. Just like what my girl bestfriend did*(the one I shared before who get pregnant)*, she chose not to marry the guy. Although they already broke up when she found out that she's pregnant, she chose not to run after the boy. The boy keeps on asking to get her back, but for her it's enough, she prefer to take care the baby with her own family. Does the baby have a broken family? Ofcourse not, he have a complete, loving and supportive family. Being with someone that you don't love makes your heart broken, worst than broken family. For parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties, and anyone there, don't force someone to marry please. It's hard and sad for the couples, make them ready, at least they will face God at the front of the altar full of love and joy. Lastly, wedding is a very important event, especially to woman. For men, if your girl is special to you then make that day special to her. I know not all women wants to have costly wedding, some just want simple, but remember: it is once in a lifetime.
