The Night Before Christmas
*Childhood are those years that I really enjoy Christmas season, everything was organized and money is that much a problem. One of the best Christmas that I can remember was during the year when we celebrated it in my grandma's province.*

I was in grade 3 or 4, can't remember the exact grade level, when my grandmother decided to have our Christmas celebration in their province. It's not a type of mountain province but a coastal province. We only visit there once in a blue moon, so we are all excited when they fixed the decision.
Dawn on December 23, when we travel and arrived there at noon. As a kid, the moment we get out the car, we immediately run to the seashore. My grandma's house is only 15-20 meters from the sea. We are already in the shore, when my strict aunt run after us and shouted *"gooo baaack here!" LOL* having strict relatives is not fun. So we fixed all our bags and bring it inside the house.
In the afternoon, we decided to visit the house of my father's brother which is one hour walk from grandma's house. Walking to my uncle's place is very exciting because we will be walking along the beach. There are no houses after 10 minutes of walking, and all you have is the sea on your left side and the forest on your right.
After about 30 minutes of traveling, my father informed us that we would be passing through a cemetery. I became interested and wanted to see how it looked, despite the fact that I'd been to the cemetery many times before, but the cemetery in that location is different. After a few moments, I asked my father.
*"Where's the cemetery?"*
*"Here,"*
*"Where Pa?"*
*"Here, where we are walking now."*
*"Where are the tombs?"*
*"It was washed away by the sea waves, especially when it's high tide"*
After that, my cousins who are playing in the sea waves run towards us. We only spent few hours in my uncle's house then back again to my grandma's house with them to celebrate Christmas.
December 24, 11 PM. The night before Christmas, my older cousin asked us to accompany her to the CR. The comfort room is located at the back of the house, so it's so creepy to go their alone. As I remember, there are five of us, four girls and one is my younger brother who always stick with me.
We are only using flashlight that time, only the sounds of the crickets and us saying *"tabi-tabi po"* is what you can hear that time. When we reach the comfort room, my cousin go inside and four of us left outside looking around, thinking if there are ghost.
When my cousin is done, we slowly walk back when I turn my head on the right and got shocked,
*"Look!"*
They all turn their head, and shouted, *"aaahhhhhhh"*. We run so fast and when we reach inside the house, our parents our asking what happened ? Then we just replied, *"nothing."*
***What we saw?***
Nothing, just a white light floating on the wall that looks like a uniform of a girl student. Note, it was dark that time and it's only that shining behind.

Santa Tell Me If You're Really There
*When was the first time you heard the word "Santa"? Personally, I can't remember it but I have a lot of stories about being a Santa, recieved gifts from Santa and stories about Santa; maybe some of you can relate this one, so let's bring back those memories as we are going to celebrate Christmas 13 days from now.*

My First Santa
When I was in grade 3, our adviser told us to make a Christmas card for Santa, we must put the things that we like to recieve during Christmas Party as Santa will give it on that day. She also added that we should put at least 3 choices, so if our desire gifts are out of stock, then Santa can bring another one. Also, not write heavy things like bicycle, human size teddy bear, motor, etc, as it's hard for Santa to bring those, he may have a sleigh crash. Everyone of us are so excited, as I remember I wrote there: art materials, teddy bear and beads.
During our Christmas Party, after the opening prayer and program, he play a lot of games, until at lunch our parents prepare the foods to eat. Finally done, and while eating, our teacher stand in front and asked us if we are excited to see Santa. Of course, everyone of us yelled *"yeeess!"*, at the countdown of 3-2-1, all our parents came in carrying big boxes. We are all surprised to see our parents carrying those gifts, there's a letter too that at the end it was written *"from your Mama and Papa Santa"*. I open the gift and saw a huge teddy bear, markers, color pens, notepad, beads and more.
***To conclude, it's my parents who are my first Santas.***
Who is Santa?
I was in Primary when my father told me this;
There are 3 kings who visited Jesus Christ when He was born. These 3 kings are **Balthasar, Melchior,** and **Gaspar**. Each of theme give a special gift to Jesus; **myrrh** from Bathasar, **gold** from Melchior and **frankincense** from Gaspar. Actually, there are supposedly 4 Kings on that night, and the 4th king is Santa. Since Santa is so busy and tired, he fall asleep so deep, that he wasn't able to wake up on the hour that they must travel. So, in the bible there are only 3 Kings. Santa felt sad not being able to give his gift for Jesus, so as an exchange he promise to give gifts to all the Children around the world every Christmas; Jesus's birthday.
***Note:*** *It's only my father who told this, and I don't know where he got it. But, it make sense right?*
Santa : Fictional Character or Real?
Santa Claus was real, his name is **Saint Nicholas**. Not a magical person, but the one who have a good heart, willing to help and give from his own wealth. His focus is more on the children, not only in his own place but he travel in different places just to give; the reason why he became the patron saint of the children. The name *"Santa Claus"* is his Dutch nickname which became more popular.
When he died, those people who witnessed his good deeds honored his death anniversary by doing the same; giving gifts like what he has done while living. There are writers who wrote stories about him, characterized him until we know Santa Claus as Father Christmas.
***About magical Santa? Ofcourse I still have something to share about this.***
I have a former bestfriend, she was a Muslim and they are not celebrating Christmas at home but still she and her mom are active in joining Christmas party in school, as Christmas is for everyone. I went to their house, we practice for jingle competition then stay there until night waiting for my father. We are just talking random things, me, my bestfriend, her mother and sister *(who was college that time then we are elementary)* told us that she saw Santa.
*"I am just sitting her in the balcony, when I saw something flying in the sky. I remember Santa, he has a car right?*
*"Sleigh?"*
*"Yes, the moon was bright so I can see it. There's a man inside and two animals in front"*
I know my bestfriend's sister as a strict one, the typical *"maldita"* teenager. She speak frankly and not afraid to say what she want to say. So after she said this, I was like *"He is real!"*

Dante's Inferno : Sixth to Ninth Circle

Sixth circle : Heresy
This circle is the Grave yard portion of hell. This place is intended for those people who commit monstrous crime, and as a punishment, half of their body was buried in the flaming tomb
Seventh circle : Violence
This circle is divided into 3 rings, which represents how bad or severe the violence committed.
The **first ring** is for those who committed crime against other person/people. This includes the murder, war-maker, cruel ruler(harsh to his/her people), and other things that you can imagine who act violence against innocents. Souls are being punished dipped in the river called Phlegethon, this river is made of blood and flames.
The **second ring** is for who committed suicide, their souls are formed into a thorny Gnarled tree.
Their leaves are eaten by Harpies ,these are birds who has the face of a woman. As a punishment they need to endure the pain lifetime, just like the pain they committed for themselves.
**Third ring** is for those who commit great disrespect to God(including God's gift, like money) and those who rape either a human or an animal (*yes, other people do this)*. They are punished to suffer in a burning desert.
Eight circle : Fraud
This circle is divided into 10 Ditches; a narrow pit dug under the ground.
1st Ditch - for sex workers
2nd Ditch - for flatterers
3rd Ditch - for those who are practising simony
4th Ditch - for sorcerers and fortune tellers
5th Ditch - for corrupts
6th Ditch - for hypocrites
7th Ditch - for thieves
8th Ditch - for fraud counselors
9th Ditch - for those who create their own religion
10th Ditch - for cheater and deceiver
Each Ditch have it's own way of punishing the souls based on the sins that they commited. Just like on the first ditch, souls are punished by the demons through whipping them forever.
Nineth circle : Betrayal
This circle is divided into four Rounds.
First Round is called **Caina**. This is from the name of Cain who kill his brother Abel. So, those who betrayed their family are placed here.
Second Round is called **Antenora**. If you have read the story about Trojan War in Greek mythology, Antero is a counselor ans who is the traitor in the event. So, this place are for those who betrayed their nation.
Third Round is called **Ptolomaea**. I actually forgot about what Ptolemy did, but based on what searched, he killed his Father-in-law and sons. So this round in for those who betrayed acquaintances or guests.
Fourth Round is called **Judecca**. This is from the name of Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus. This place is intended for those people who betrayed God.
*After the last round is the center of the earth, wherein Satan resided.*

Dante's Inferno : First to Fifth Circle
*The Divine Comedy is the famous epic poem of the Italian philosopher and poet,* ***Dante Alighieri****.*
*This book was divided into three sections: Hell(Inferno), Purgatory(Purgatorio) and Heaven(Paradiso). The theme of his works surrounds Mythology, Christianity and Philosophy.*
*As of now, let's only focus on the circles of hell, which was divided into 9 circles. The poem was all about the journey of Dante(the author itself) who was guided by the spirit named Virgil(real life poet from the time of Augustus) sent by Beatrice, who is his real life love, but unfortunately Dante was married to other woman.*

First Circle : Limbo
This place is for unbaptized souls and those who live a moral life but doesn't accept Christianity. Dante saw famous writers; **Homer, Ovid, Lucan** and **Horace**, who help him to find the Limbo's great castle. Virgil also stated, that he saw Jesus who take **Adam, Moses, Abraham, Noah and other famous characters** in the bible, to save from this circle of hell and bring them to His arm in Heaven.
There's no physical punishment but the loneliness and regret that they felt is what killing them lifetime; The constant nothingness and hopelessness.
Second Circle : Lust
This pace for those who live with too much Pleasure, that their life was filled with thirst of lust. Souls in this place are punished by unending strong wind, they are drag and buffeted back and forth to mountains and rocks.
In here, Dante saw **Cleopatra, Helen of Troy, Archilles and other famous historical and mythological person** who live a lustful life.
Third Circle : Gluttony
The place for souls are tormented by overindulging excessive eating and drinking. This also include for those who have addiction. The place for auful act of being self-centered.
Dante and Virgil saw the **3 headed dog**
that we can also found in Greek Mythology in the kingdom of Hades in the depth of the earth. People here are punished by not being able to stand, they are always on the ground gurgling in the mud.
Fourth Circle : Greed
This place is intended for those people who live a life of greed. This circle is divided into two groups of people : *First*, is the ones who spent lavishly, all they want is the luxury and richness in life; and *second* is for those who aim for political power or imperial possession, wherein in Dante's journey, he saw **cardinals, popes and other members of the church**; that used the order of the church to gain money. While these groups fight to each other.
In Greek mythology, the god of wealth, **Plutus** is the one who guards the circle. Souls are punished by pushing a heavy rolling weight using their chest.
Fifth circle : Wrath
In this circle, Dante and Virgil saw the river called Styx.
In the river, the souls are always angry and fighting against each other; an unending war. They punished themselves and others; they choke, bite, scratch, punch, kick and do anything in order to kill someone. But since they are already in the Hell(Inferno), the wrath and fight is lifetime. After the river, there is also city where the fallen angels can be seen.

Journey in Writing
*What comes in your mind when you first heard the word "Writing"? Do you love writing, or you just started to love it when you met read.cash*
*Since before writing is part of my life, not as an author, but a kid who is fascinated with oens and paper. And now I would like to share my writing experience. Hope you enjoy it!*

When I was kid, my parents told me that I prefer to hold a pen than toys. They showed me a book that I like to use everytime I want to draw before. I actually feel bad looking at it now, but I understand that at the young age, literally young, I don't have a much control on what I am doing.
During primary I joined Read-a-thon , during that time when you're a honor student, you must join this to represent your year level. Our school is active in terms of joining competition about Read-a-thon, so everytime there's a competition, we have the privileged to compete. I was in grade 3 when I started to join, then I'm in the part of Team Reading.
**Team Reading** is composed of 3 members, the task is to read a whole story for a given period of time, usually one hour. After that, the facilitator will collect the book and the competition will start. There are three sets of round : easy, medium and hard. In this rounds, the assigned teacher will ask a questions about the story that we have read. The team who will get the highest score is the champion. We first compete with the other year level and fortunately we win, and ofcourse as the winner, we are going to compete with other schools.
One of the best advice that I gain from one of our club speaker is, *"Practice your skills through writing diary"*. Since I am not so much good in writing, I try my best to practice it through writing a daily diary. What's the funny thing about it is; I know diary as writing about your whole day experience.
*So I make my first day diary like this;*
I woke up 5:30 in the morning, I thank God for all blessings that he has given to us. I stand up and fix my bed. I walk in our kitchen and wash my face, then I go in the bathroom to pee. I sit down in our chair and look to our cat *Miming*.
Yeah, after 3 days I surrender because in my mind *"oh diary is so hard you must put all the details every minute.... "*, until when I'm in high-school, I realized that you can write diary by just sharing important things happened on that day. Lol!
In highschool, since we are known as a member of read-a-thon, the teachers already list our names in journalism club. So I was assigned in Essay Writing, it is simple as sharing your ideas and thoughts.
**Essay writing** is easy if you have knowledge about many topics. It is quite simple since you only need to share your ideas, but in order to make it effective you must share important details that you can catch your readers interest.
For example, the facilitator will give you a topic about Christmas. In my style, I only use three paragraphs; first for introduction (*quote/sayings or message from a famous personality),* second for the body(*my knowledge and insights about the topic*), last is the conclusion (*to sum up everything, something that I want the readers to remember and my ending message.)*
Writing became my lover, everytime I hold a pen it is somewhat fulfilling. I literary love to write, not to write stories, but just to write. *LOL!* My hand became addicted in writing, since I don't have something to write, what I did is to transfer my previous notes into a new notebook. Pen and paper are also my bestfriends, everytime I feel bad especially when I quarrel with my younger brother, I will say my hatred through writing.
As of now, I have this notebook as my diary of achievements.
I want to manifest positivity and success, so instead of writing about sadness and hatred, I prefer to write here my greatest blessing and achievements.

Greek Mythology
In the beginning there was nothing, but void and chaos. Out of primeval chaos **Gaea** or Mother Earth was born, she was also known as the god dress of fertility, and give birth to **Uranus** the god of the sky. With the union of Gaea and Uranus, the **Cyclopes** and **Hecatonchires** was born.
Uranus don't like his offsprings and throw them to the depth of the Earth. Soon, Gaea give birth to another set of gods known as the Titans: **Oceanus, Tethys, Hyperion, Theia, Coeus, Phoebe, Iapetus, Rhea, Mnemosyne, Themis, Crius** and **Cronus** as the youngest. Gaea, wants to take a revenge to Uranus for being so cruel, she asked theTitans but all of them are afraid except Cronus. Gaea together with Cronus plan an ambush to defeat Uranus, at last Cronus was successfully defeated his father and where he became the new supreme ruler of the Universe.
Cronus let his siblings(Titans) free, but not the Cyclopes and Hecatonchires, as he think they are dangerous. He then marry one of the Titans Rhea. Cronus recieved aprophecy that one of his kids will dethrone him, just like what he did to Uranus. Rhea give birth to their first child **Hestia**, while Cronus being afraid of his child being more powerful than him someday, he eat Hestia. Rhea give birth to another child **Demeter** but Cronus still swallow him. Also to his other children **Hera, Hades and Poseidon**. Rhea being pregnant to another child was afraid that Cronus will eat the baby, so she made a plan to hide it. Finally she give birth to **Zeus**, but hide him in Mount Dicte in Crete. She gave Cronus a stone wrapped in clothe, give it to Cronus and swallow.
Zeus became a strong and braveman. He plan to defeat his father Cronus by the help of **Metis**, the goddess of good counsel. Metis give emitic to Zeus that will make his siblings free. Zeus climb to Mount Olympus and succesfully tricked his father to drink the potion. When Cronus drink it, he vomit all the other deities which are already fully grown. Zeus together with his siblings take a revenge which they called **War of the Titans**.
Hebrew Mythology
Our ancestors defined myth as the way how the world was created, it became basis on the way of their living and discipline. Unlike today's generation that we define myth as work of mind and just a fiction.
And yes, the Hebrew Mythology is the one that we are using in religious aspects. For Christian, we can see it in the Bible of old Testament, book of Genesis. In here, it was stated that the world was created for 6 days and on the 7th day God take a rest. The first man who was made by the dust named **Adam**, while God created another one **Eve** to accompany Adam, they both live in the graden of Eden, until the serpent came and convince them to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree. The serpent succesful fool them and when the sin started.
Visayan Mythology
Visayan Mythology is one of the myth in the Philippine Mythology. Visayan is one of the ethnic group in the Philippines.
In this story, the world was created by god of the sky **Kaptan** who fell in love with **Maguayan**, the goddess of the sea. One day the couple quarrel, because of too much anger Kaptan told Maguayan to stay away. Since Maguayan was hurt by what Kaptan said, she go away and never been seen again.
Kaptan learned from his mistake and to forget the sadness, he made the earth and plant different crops, thinking that Maguayan will be happy if she will see his works. Among these crops, the bamboo sprouted first. While looking at the bamboo, he was thinking to make creature from this plant. And he did, the first man was created when the bamboo split into two halves. The first man was called **Sikalak** means "*the sturdy one*" and the woman as **Sikabay** means "*partner of the sturdy one"*. As time passes by, the man was finally called **silalak** or in short **lalaki**, and **sibabaye** or **babaye** for woman.

*Reading was always one of my favorite pastimes, but as the pandemic started, my interest waned until I discovered read.cash. My passion in reading was awaken, not so much by the books, but by the stories and knowledge of people with whom I had become acquainted here.*
*I'm interested in stories with visuals, because I become bored if it's all text. I used to buy story books while I was in primary school, and dream to establish a home library someday. Through reading books I discovered authors which I admire. There's a lot of them actually, but for today's article I'm gonna share only 5. These are the authors whose work is what I have read recently.*

Willian Shakespeare
Who doesn't know William Shakespeare? I think most of us are familiar with his name and even with some of his works.
***Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, The Merchant*** *and* ***Macbeth*** are some of his works. His works was all about tragedy, death and sadness. Yes, as a reader it can affect you emotionally, but it's amazing how his mind works through writing. His works are so popular, that it became basis for the teachers to teach about literature, even about giving performance tasks. I was in 7th grade when our adviser told us to memorize ***"The Seven Ages of Man"***. I actually don't know why I still memorize it until now. Lol!
Rudyard Kipling
I first encountered the name *Rudyard Kipling* when I was in 8th grade, when our teacher tasked us to memorize his poem in titled ***"If"***. But I get more amazed on him, when I discovered that he was the author of the famous story, ***"The Jungle Book".*** *Mowgli* and *Baloo* who is a friendly bear are the main characters on this story; maybe you guys already watched it's film adaptation.
He was born in India, and contribute to literary by his poem and stories. About the stories, his works were about tales for children. Btw, he work as a journalist for 7 years; looks how he loves writing.
Edgar Allan Poe
He is an American writer and poet, who is best known in writing short stories and poetry.
He gives a lot of contribution in literary through his wide imagination and originality. He was credited as the inventor of literary genre : horror*(although he is not the first one who make horror stories)* and mystery like detective stories. It was a belief that today's horror movies was inspired by his work. He was also interested in psychology, that became his style to develop modern Ghotic stories. By his style of writing, he was able to influence a lot of readers, that until todays generation get inspiration from his works.
Try to search his books, and you're going to see how he love to write horror stories

Shirley Jackson
Most of her novels was all about horror which makes her a master of gothic horror and psychological suspense.
She have other novels like, "***The Hunting of Hill House***" in 1959 and ***"We Have Always Lived in the Castlein"*** 1962.
I read her story 2 weeks ago, ***"The Lottery"***. It was a fictional story about the traditional way of winning a lottery ticket, wherein the winner's reward is death. Kind of a humorous story, but it you analyzed it, you're going to understand that Shirley Jackson was referring to reality.
Kate Chopin
She was influenced by Guy De Maupessant, French author from Normandy best known for short stories. She was first printed her novel on 1890 and became popular through her piece ***"The Awakening"*** (1899), which became controversial; now considered a classic of feminist fiction.
I actually shared one of his works, ***"Story of an Hour"***; just search it if you're interested. It is about a wife who seek for freedom, that at the end she recieved it but in a tragic way. So, if you're a girl who wants to stand for the right of every woman, try to look at her works and you're going to see what a 21St century woman is.

Night With My Bestfriend
*Life is something the we must enjoy. No matter how busy or problematic the situation is, but we should let ourselves have some time to relax and unwind.*
*I'm getting busier day by day and even don't have a chance to treat myself. But then, I have this one night with my bestfriend which is somewhat fail but at least I relax.*

It was already afternoon when one of my friend chat in our vc that the date of his wedding will be on December. We all congratulate him and got excited for that special day. My other bestfriend chat me saying, *"let's go to the city to buy gifts for him, and dress to wear."* Of course I agreed to her, as it's also a chance to have bonding with her after a long time. She said that we are going to go on December 4 ,but since I'm so busy I told her to change the schedule November 27 afternoon, because morning is not my vacant.
It's already 27th of November, we agreed for 3 pm, but still she was not ready to go because her parents was still not in their home; they are the one who will look for her baby when we are in the city.
It was already 5 pm when they got home, then 1 hour travel to city, so it's almost 7 pm when we arrived in a mini mall. It's been 3 years the last time I went there, I can see that their dresses doesn't look good unlike before and it became expensive. We try our best to find even one dress that we like but still none. Next stop, we go to a another mini mall, but the moment we enter, we already saw that the second floor is close where the dresses, shoes and gifts are located. I felt so sad, so we just enter their grocery store and buy important items.
For the 3rd stop, we go to the mall, she want to look for a shoes or sandal first, so I'm just following her.
She was attracted with those shoes, but still we are not able to buy those because it was so expensive; out of the budget.
I told her that this mall have expensive stuffs, so it's really impossible go find dress or shoes with a minimum of ₱500. When she is busy.
I just take some pictures of the Christmas tree
We go to another mall, this mall is the place when me and my family go for a bonding before pandemic; I miss it so much. Since it's already 8 pm, most of the stores are close. Maybe they change the schedule, because before you can stay inside the mall up to midnight but now, at 8 pm they are starting to close.
30 minutes of searching, I finally saw the dress that I like, but when I look for the price tag, it was so expensive again. Personally, I don't like to buy so much expensive dresses because I only wear it sometimes. And yeah, I need to manage the money because we are earning for business capital.
For the last store, we finally saw a dress that we like, actually it's the tricycle driver who sent us there, because we are complaining on our situation. He asked where we live and said, "you should not go in the city at night, both of you are girls, you know these days is so dangerous. " Then I realized that he is right, just I don't have vacant time that's why end up at night.
We buy some street foods too.
This is the only photo I have, I suppose to capture my bestfriend then this man came in, so he covered my main subject. Lol!
We go to the plaza and I was so shocked to see a lot of people.
Seems like there's an event or festival. The large field was occupied with people: kids, adults and teens. The side walk was full of vendors, like a normal night before, the only difference is that we are wearing masks.
The we go home and safely arrived at home.
That's it everyone, just want to share this one.

Bullet : End and Life Changing
*"Experience is the best teacher" the most common quote in life. But what experience of your life that you learned the most?*
*Today's article is to share another real life story from my very own father, might be a bit sensitive, but at end it will get moral from the story.*

At the very young age, my father used to do a lot of works in order to help her mother at home. Since my father is very thin and easily to get sick, her parents only task him to take care of their mini sari-sari store.
One night, my grandfather bring two visitors. The purpose of these visitors is to sell their motor in order to have money for their house. It was common in the province, to welcome visitors by offering hard drink or "tuba", so while waiting for the buyer, they enjoy talking and drinking in the front of their store. After an hour, there is a drunk man, who is also a friend of my grandfather, came into their table asking *"who's the owner of this motor?"*. My grandfather, answered that it was owned by his visitor. The man asked them that he will borrow the motor to practice, but my grandfather and his friend refuses because they already know what kind of a person he is. But still this old man get the motor and use it even he is not expert in driving. When this drunk man came back, the visitor was so sad seeing his motor already damage. He said, "*how cam I sell this Sir when you already damage it?*, " but the drunk man get angry and said *"you are brave now!"*. They start to argue until they fight, punching to each others. My grandfather's visitor win and this old man go home angrily.
My grandmother who is busy in cooking that time asked my father to get some seasonings. My father immediately go to their store and cut the seasoning, until they heard a loud gun shot. He then heard a scream outside, and when he look at the window, the visitor was already lying on the ground, and this drunk man was carrying long gun.
After this incident, my father always hear noises at night. Their house was elevated that he can feel that the noises came under the house. At first, it was only sound like a disco*(that until now he can remember the beat and few lyrics),* then a crying lady, until a voice of a man asking for help, but the worst is hearing steps with chain. He don't have someone to tell it since he was not close to his parents, and all his siblings was also little that time.
On the other night, he heard the voice of a bird. He used to cover all his body with a sack of flour (*the usual blanket during their time)* just to hide himself from being scared. He bravely, open his blanket and look around until,... he look up and saw a very bright circle, with a dark curve spot at the center; like the eyes of a wild animals. He immediately cover himself again, thinking what he saw.
On the other side of the story, this visitor of my grandfather died. In order to give the justice, he file a case against this drunk man. At first, the family of this man asked my grandfather to stop it because they are like relatives already, but my grandfather stand his decision and still continue the case. This drunk man was a police, not by education, but by money and power. When my grandfather go to municipality, instead of listening to his concern the mayor get angry, and told him to stop complaining against the Police. My grandfather still do his best for the case, that at the end, they prison my grandfather with the reason of fighting against the authority. After days, they let my grandfather free, since they don't have a strong bases to prison him. When my grandfather came back home, he ask his neighbors to serve as the witness, although they saw what happened that night, they are scared to witness as they think that the authority will prison them. My grandfather spend all the money just to keep the case going until this drunk man surrender; felt guilty on what he did. He even talked to my grandfather, asking him to tell his family that he already surrender.
The mayor set him free again, but my grandfather think this as injustice, so he went to other places to find a better Police station.
*Fast forward...*
My grandfather win the case, and prison this drunk man for 12 years. They also transfered to other place, and leave that hunted house.
**In my time..**
The granddaughter of this drunk man became my classmate, and one of my closest friend until now*(what a small world).*
Last month, we met up, only 3 of us, we keep on talking funny things until she look at me and said *"Friend, the bestfriend of your father already died last August."*
The *"bestfriend of your father",* is that drunk man that she was referring to. Yes, after his imprisonment, he change and chose to have a good life. By God's grace, he met my father, and as an exchange to the goodness of my grandfather, and guilt that he felt, he treat my father with kindness, lead them as "Bestfriend"

They Called it Puppy Love
*Puppy love is the term that we use to refer to crushes, or the relationship during adolescence. This usually end and served as an experience or lesson.*
*Puppy love is always part of Primary and Secondary school. I don't know if you guys have this, but let me share, my bestfriend's puppy love experience; with me.*

We Filipino kids, even adults, usually say *"Ayiieee"* or *"Eiieee"* in terms of teasing some about the matter of love. I was in Primary when I first heard this from my classmate. It became our expression, especially in teasing our friends.
We play kasal-kasalan, I actually shared this one in my previous article, where my male and female friends are going to marry. Since we have a lot of flowers, I usually assigned for the flower decoration and to the brides flower which she can hold while walking in the aisle.
*Bougainvillea, the usual flower that I used.*
I don't know how or whos idea is it, but yeah we are playing like this. I didn't play as a bride, because I'm a conservative child, and all I want is to go with the flow to have fun. What shocked me that time, is after the acting of ceremony, my friends really kissed by their lips, and I was like "whyyy you guys did it!" Lol! Just I'm afraid that our parents might see them, and scold us playing that game.
While at school, teasing is so common. If you have a fight with your opposite sex classmate, everyone will look at you both and say, "Ayieeeee" and when you get angry they will say, "The more you hate, The more you love". I honestly say that also do to my close friends, just to make fun. Sometimes, when you fight with your opposite sex, they will say, "That is when my grandparents started". Then all you can do it to shut up.
Love letter and gifts are also common during secondary school.
I have a funny experience with my bestfriend on this. She has a crush, she really likes the boy that everytime we passes the boy's house, she was so "kilig", having romantic feelings. This boy is her classmate, so everytime it talk to her, she always share it to me, and saying "He really likes me!" As a supportive bestfriend, I will say, "yeah, you guys looks so good to each other."
One afternoon, she was so sad saying that her crush was flirting with their other classmate. I'm just laughing on her, since her face was really different from the usual mood she have. For me, we are too young for that kind of matter, so I just adviced her to find another crush. But guess what? She wants to take a revenge; to make that boy jealous.
The next morning, she talk to me while we are in the canteen and tell her plan. I can't stop laughing while hearing her plans, that I last I still agree on it. Lol
Her plan was this, she will buy flowers and chocolates, then she will act that someone gave it to her. She really did it and bring those flowers and chocolate to their classroom the next day, then she successful catch the attention of her crush asking, "who gave that to you?", "my suitor" she replied
Her next plan is to have love letter, she asked me to make one. And give it during recess time. Ofcourse, as a supportive friend, I make for her and give it during recess or dismissal. She was acting "kilig" or so inlove reading it in their classroom. Her classmates and even her crush was so curious asking who gave it, but she only answers, "secret!"
*Fast forward...*
They really became in a relationship. Mission accomplished!
*But..*
Break-up after five months. Gushhh our effort.
*This is just one of the funny moments I experience during school days. So funny yet disgusting, thinking, "why we did it!?".*

The Kind of Gold Memories

Price of Goods
I know it's necessary to increase prices, and it's one of the evidence to show that our economy is growing, but just missing those days that ₱5($0.1) can already make you full. My father shared his childhood stories, when their parents give them only have ₱1($0.02) for school, and by that money they can buy bananacue and juice. Life was so simple.
We have mini sari-sari store before, when I was in Primary, and I remember that you can buy charcoal for ₱5, but now it's already ₱10($0.20) and the quality is not that good and so little compare to ₱5 for one pack before. It's also shocking to me that the 35g of sachet juice which was only ₱5 before is now ₱20($0.40), just so good that I'm not fun of drinking juice.
Low Quality Camera
I know having a good quality of a camera is better, and it's a must in most of us, especially in terms of works and studies, but just missing those day that a blurry camera can already make us happy. Before, in our group of friends, it's only one of us have a phone, so all the events and times that we like to take photos was stored in her phone. I think it's called "camera 360", this app is what we usually use in taking photos, then edit it into Sepia or other filters. After editing, we make it as collage using photogrid app.
Fb is the top application, which can reminds us memories. It will notif, "Ling.... memories 5,6,7.. years ago." Then when I look at those pictures, I was like "Really? We look like this? I felt that we are so pretty on these photos before." *lol!*
No Stress in School or Work
I know that studies, having a job or doing house works is so important; just missing those childhood days that our problem is only on how to defeat our enemy in games. I don't know if you guys have this trip during childhood, that everytime we have enemy, we should touch each others little fingers; sign of the end of friendship. While, everytime we get back our friendship, we are going to touch each other's thumb; sign that we are friends again.
My Grandfather
I know my grandfather was already in a Good Hands living peacefully, but still there are days that I miss him. He is a strict father, a typical father with a Spanish blood, but for us his grandchildren, he is so kind and loving. I am only in Primary when he died due to cancer, we did everything to make him feel better, but it became worst. So when he died, it was so painful, but we realized that it's one way to make him rest and not to suffer from so much pain. I love my grandfather, just missing him:)

It's Her Special Day

I wake up at 5:30 in the morning, and I already heard the sounds of mom's zumba music. Yes, she likes to do zumba daily, it's her way of doing exercise. So in my room, I quickly prepare my small gift, I forgot to put sticker, so I did. When I get out in my room, I immediately greet her and lend the small box with a letter. My mom is a kind and soft-hearted person. She's not a typically mother who likes to get angry, ofcourse she did, but once in a blue moon. I gave her the gift, and she made a priceless reaction.
Here's what I gave her, gold plated necklace. I cannot afford to give her an original, so I just gave cheap but of a good quality. Fortunately, she loves it so much and super thankful. She said, "it's okay even you didn't spent money on me" So I get back the necklace. Char.. Lol!
Why with this stethoscope pendant? Is because my mom is a nurse, and I want to give something that can represent her and something which she can remember me. I found this necklace a perfect one, and by God's grace it's worth it.
We eat for breakfast, nothing special just an ordinary breakfast. Then at 9 am my father and younger brother went to the city to buy foods.
And here's what they bought ;
We don't like to cook a lot during birthday, as we used to go outside and bond, but when the pandemic started we only buy fast foods. It's only four of us, so no worries about the food.
We have foods from Jollibee; we really love Jollibee. Before, when we go out and still have extra money, we likes to eat in a Jolibee restaurant. My favorite is the Sundae, as I love ice cream. As you can see there's a "Palabok", only one, as it's my mom's favorite. There's a roasted chicken too, that was for our lunch.
While my father and brother was out to buy, me and mom prepare spaghetti. This was really common during special occasions. I actually decided to have spaghetti, because mom's Spaghetti recipe is the best.
After lunch my parents go out for a date. They are going to spend their afternoon up to night for a date, while me and my younger brother will stay at home.
*This happend in the morning*
**Father :** *Are we going to the beach or in other place?*
**Mother :** *it's so hot in the beach*
**Me :** *I'm so busy today, I cannot stay in beach for so long.*
**Father :** *You are not going with us.*
**Me :** *ohh.. (I though "we" includes me and my brother. Lol)*
I share this one for two important reasons
First, is for us to remember and make every birthday of your love ones special. No need to spend a lot of money, just a simple effort to make that particular day different; ofcourse to share my mom's special day. Second, it to proudly say that the money that I used are from my earnings here in read.cash. By the help of read.cash, I was able to give something to my parents. *If you're a Filipino who enjoys watching traditional stories, you're probably familiar with the term "Bakunawa." Bakunawa is a mythical creature from Philippine folklore that is described as a large creature with the head of a dragon and the body of a snake.*

I first learned about Bakunawa when I watched a short film about it. That according to the story;
There was a village that was gifted with a seven moons from Bathala(god). There was a young boy in the village, who like to play and prank every villagers that there is a Bakunawa. All the people know about Bakunawa, but still none of them prove if it's true. On the other hand, Bakuna was hiding in the depth of the sea, surrounded with darkness that it decided to get one of the moon to lighten the sea.
One night, when everyone was sleeping, Bakunawa came out the sea and succesfully eat one of the moon. Bakunawa go back under the sea with moon on it's tummy. But the moon was slowly dissolving on it's stomach, then the depth of the sea started to dark again. On the next night, the Bakunawa came out and successfully eat the other moon, but just like what happened to the first one, it dissolved.
On the third night, this young naughty boy can't sleep, so he decided to watch the sky. He count the moon and notice that there's only 5 left. In a moment, a Bakunawa came out in the sea, and eat another moon. He was so scared and wake up all his neighbors, shouting *"Bakunawaa!"*, but no one believed him, as he used to do it.
Nights had passed and the Bakunawa still eat the other moons, until only one left. This naughty young boy have the courage to fight against Bakunawa, so when another night came, he tried to face it but the Bakunawa is so strong.
*Fast forward..*
This young boy found out that the weakness of the Bakunawa was the noise, so he asked help from other villagers, who saw the Bakunawa in action. They defeated the Bakunawa, and it go back under the sea. They save the moon and live peacefully again.
*This was merely a brief story about Bakunawa, written for children, but we may draw a moral lesson from it as well as the story of Bakunawa.*
When my mother was a child growing up in the province, she and her neighbors believed in Bakunawa. They used to make noise every time there was an eclipse to drive the Bakunawa away. Some of the neighbors will shout,*"Bring back the moon!"*
Bakunawa was known as a big serpent at the time, according to what elderly people told them. They panic every time they see the moon turn into a half or crescent because they know it's the Bakunawa trying to gobble the remaining moon.
Eclipse
Thanks to Science, we know now what an Eclipse is. As a result, the myth of Bakunawa faded into obscurity, and people were already aware of what occurred during Eclipse.
**Eclipse** is when the **moon's shadow hits the Earth** or it's the **Earth's shadow hits the moon**(where they thought made by the Bakunawa).
**Lunar Eclipse** is when the Earth is directly between the moon and the sun. Thiis happened during full moon, which most people prefer to watch.
**Solar Eclipse** is when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun. This block the light reaching the Earth, why the Earth became dark.

Wish of a Young One
*I was watching Tiktok videos earlier when I came up with a video that broke my heart. I cannot share you the video or even pictures about it, since it was refreshed and gone. But the video is about a man, sitting on an Sports Bike; I don't know what's the proper name of it, as it's look like a motorcycle, but I've read other countries called it "Bike"*

The man was sitting there, looking to other vehicles passing by, until he noticed that someone was capturing video on him. He just smile, and get out from the bike. He is walking, that you can see the shyness and rediculous feelings that he felt that time. He then stop when he reached the display of good beside the road; he look back and smile again. He is a vendor and that motor bike doesn't belong to him.
*Why it boke my heart because I have seen a lot of people who aim for something, but those dreams that they have remain only as a dream.*
This reminds me almost 3 years ago, Christmas before pandemic when I talked to my younger cousin. She was only 9 years old that time, but I already know that she have a good heart. Every Christmas we gather, just like most Filipino families. We used to celebrate that special occasion in my grandma's house.
December 24 morning, we already went in their place to prepare for evening celebration. So it was afternoon of that day, when we went to the basketball court near in their house. Their house was located near in the seashore, that every high tide the sea level reached up to leg; the reason why their houses was elevated.
This is the view that you can see when you open their window. It looks so nice and relaxing but the truth is, it's hard for them. It was like a squatter area, that every house made of wood was located next to each other. One problem that they encounter is the water pollution, being in this situation, they used to throw their waste in the water; plastics, dead animals, and other waste that you can imagine.
Back to my cousin, we are sitting in the bench of the basketball court, looking at other kids playing, when she said me this words,
*"Ate(Sis), I want to be rich someday. Because my classmates was making fun of me, they told me that I am just living in a squatters area, poor, and all our waste was thrown in the sea."*
I'm just staring at her, the she continue,
*"If I'm rich, I am going to buy this place. I will make this place a very clean and beautiful. I will give every family a money to repair their house. By that, no one will bully me."*
I was so sad on what's she said, but I'm trying not to show that sadness in front of her. So to make everything light, I just laugh and said *"You know what, those people who likes to bully are the persons who are lack of intelligence. And just pray for it, you can have it soon. Btw, what do you want to be in the future again?"*
"Astronaut", she replied.
*Look how high the dreams of every children nowadays. I've seen a lot of them answering the same question, and when you ask, "why?", they will say "to help my parents." "to help other (people)"*
It's good to have a vision at the young age, just it became negative that instead of enjoying their childhood, they are already worried about their family's situation and future.
Why I came up with this topic, is to open our mind AGAIN to help if when we can, and to give when we have. This is one way on how we can give an exchange to our Almighty God, for all the blessings that He have given to us.
For us who can understand more, but still lack of dedication in life. I would like to say once again, Just on keep on going for good. Contentment is good, but if you know that you can do more and be more; then work for it, pray for it. Don't settle for less, as at the end it's your choice to be in that situation.

I am Proud of Her

A warrior that's the best word to describe my friend. When we are grade one, we are classmates already but were not that close. Then 1 year had passed, when we are already in grade two, our teacher decided to have a seating arrangement, alphabetical order by our last name; this was alternate, boy-girl-boy-girl. In attendance my name is next to her, so when our teacher call our name there is only one boy that was between us. Day by day we become more closer until we became bestfriends; that time we also decided to have a call sign "Best. "
Best is a boyish kind of a girl, on how she walk and hit our classmates. She has a straight long hair, and she likes to cut her dresses to make it unique, she likes to speak and speak, and reading e-book is her hobby.
I say warrior because she was always there to help me, she does't want me to get hurt. When there is someone who hurt me, then she is the one who will take a revenge. She also likes to have a debate activity because just like what I said, *"she likes to speak."*
She is also a joker, and likes to recite even her grammar is wrong; with her funny accent. She likes to express what is in her mind. Sometimes when she raise her hand, our teacher will not call her. Then she will just shout *"Akooo Ma'am"(Meee Ma'am)*, but our teacher just ignore her as she is always reciting(Give chance to other) and that makes me laugh in my chair.
Sometimes I can't understand Best, but the only thing I know is I love her.
What you have read above is the exact words that I wrote 5 years ago. It was the time when our, teacher told us to make a Character Sketch of our bestfriend. **Character sketch** is the way of describing someone through writing.
She is one of the strongest woman I know.
We are in fourth year highschool when I transferred in other school. I remember the day I told her that I am going to transfer, and she was just keep on crying. Until the day had come and I transferred already. Our friendship was still there, our communication was still there.
One Sunday, I visited them in school, they are having a practice so I go with her, and that was the time when she told me that she has a boyfriend.
I am so happy for her, I can see it in her eyes how she felt love with that boy. I love to listen her stories how they became in a relationship; how she was so proud on her boyfriend.
But,
One day, she told me that they broke up. She told me everything that she was mistreated by the boy's family, just because of her social status. The boy's mom even told her *"Stay away from my son"* in front of many people. But she was so kind to accept those words and just left without saying anything. They broke up as the boy prefer to follow his mom.
This gives her anxiety but at last she accept everything and move on. She was so strong, and I pray her for the best man that she deserve; God's will.
*Why I came up with this, is because it's her birthday. The birthday of my sister in heart.*

A Love for Pens

Glitter Pens
When I was in primary, I always save money to buy glitter pens in our neighbor. It cost 8 php( $0.16) for 1 pc, and I keep it as a secret to my parents because I don't want them to scold me buying a lot of pens. Since my parents only give me 5php aside from biscuit and juice for school, it took me a month/s to buy 10 pcs.
Now that I can earn and that my parents support this hobby of mine, I was able to buy Glitter Pens as many as I can. In the photo above, you have seen two packs of Glitter Pens, because as of now I don't have much time to do arts, so I think these are enough. Btw, what I like more about this is the scents. Yes, every color of the pens have it's own scents, like violet for grapes, red for apple; like candy smell.
Fine-Tech Pens
Why I really love this kind of pen because of it's fine writings, that really suits on my thin penmanship. It's point ranges 0.2mm to 0.4mm, that if you don't have enough money to buy a Pilot G-Tec pen, this one is a very good replacement.
In here, you can only saw 4 different colors. Why? Because I don't want to waste money or even the pens itself just because of my obsession. I only bought 4 colors for it's own purposes;
Blue - Title
Pink - Terms to remember
Black - body
Kahki - reminders or additional information
The only problem in this kind of pen is when you accidentally fall it to the ground. Due to it's fine point, it will easily block it's hole then it will stop writing.
Metallic Pens
These pens(White, Gold and Silver) are for my journal. I don't have that daily diary, but I have this notebook which I can use for journal; special occasions, achievements, etc. For me, this is the best way to express myself.
Highlight Liner Pen
This was used for giving additional details in your art; painting, drawing, colors. If you have seen paintings like starry night, then those stars and moon was drew using this kind of pen. Of course, I brought one, and I love it so much.
*What I realized now is that I am slowly achieving my dreams. One of it is to complete my art materials collection. This bring back those days when I am just hoping to have even just one. GOD is so good to grant me these things. So if you're dreaming to get something, just pray for it, and it will be given to you:)*

Although there is no exact evidence of dragon's existence, there are some conspiracy about this:
Dragon as from the Dinosaur
We all know that dinosaur existed and became extinct million years ago. Some people said that this dinosaurs are from dragons' egg. That because of evolution, those dragons turns to what we called dinosaur. If you are not the familiar about **Evolution**, this is a process when a matter change it's characteristics or appearance to be able to cope up with the changes of the surroundings.
There are also stories that people just misinterpret dinosaur's fossil as dragons.
Dragon as one of the Chinese zodiac sign
Did you know someone who was born in the year of the dragon? What can you say about his/her characteristics? Does it dangerous as the dragon that you know?
So if you're going to look on the Chinese zodiac signs, it's only the dragon which is the Mythical creature among others. For other counties, they may see this dragon as a bad luck or guardian of darkness; but for Chinese it is power, strength and luck.
Most Filipinos also believed about Feng Shui, that the color of red and the symbol of dragon is the best to use to welcome the New Year.
Beliefs from Ancestors
I have read the book *"Dragons Galore"*, and there are some Myths about Dragons which was passed through generations.
*According to the book;*
People said, *"Dragons had Stones"*, I don't know if you have seen photos of statue of a dragon that holds a stone through their mouth. Ancestors believed that this Stones helped them to fly, this was serve is their source of power.
People said, *"Dragons did not like bugs"* Do you like bugs? If not, this dragon myth can relate to you. They said that dragons don't like bugs because it can enter through the holes of their head; nose, ears. By this, those bugs can eat their brains.
People said, *"Dragons' egg hatch after 3,000 years."* Just like dinosaur and other animals that we know, dragons believed to lay egg and wait for a thousand of years before it was hatched. So long right?
*At last, why I share these things about dragon was because although there is no exact evidence that they existed. There are stories about them, that our ancient ancestors have something to tell about them. Why? Because there's a possibility that they really saw this creature during their time. This is just my opinion, we may not know. Btw, Bible also mentioned "dragon" many times.*

The story is about the main character Alexandra Trese who serves as the detective about supernatural entities. At the first episode of the story, you are going to know that she is a Babaylan. **Babaylan** serves as the leader during the pre-colonial Phillipines. They have the ability to heal sicknesses and can communicate to spirit worlds.
White Lady
If you had watched or going to watch the series, you will first meet the spiritual entity, white Lady. This white lady serves as the *"White Lady in Balete Drive".* This is one of the common scariest place in Manila, Philippines.
There's a lot of conspiracy about this White Lady. There are stories said that this Lady was rape before she killed by a driver, the reason why her spirit stay in this road trying to kill other drivers as a revenge. On the other side of the story, this white lady was once a student in a famous university who committed suicide. *I don't know to my other Filipino writers here, if what they know about the story behind this entity.*
Tabi-Tabi po
You will hear Alexandra saying, *"tabi-tabi po"* means excuse me. This is a common expression for Filipinos if they are in a place which they think spiritual entity exists.
I have watched noontime show, *Eat Bulaga* in their *Bawal Judgemental* segment. All the choices are Spiritist. And according to one Priest there, saying *"Tabi-tabi po"* is not really good. Because the right way to do is to cast immediately the spirit by saying "In Jesus Name I cast you away". I agree on him, but on the other hand, I'm against when he said that we should not say *"Tabi-tabi po"*. As I believe although they are spirits, they still need respect; I even believe too that they are not all bad.
Santelmo
In the series you will meet Santelmo as a friend of Alexandra. It is somewhat modern, because the Santelmo stay and just come out when Alexandra open her phone/gadget. Another is, Santelmo in this series was a head of fire, which is different from the Santelmo that I know; only fire.
Btw, for those who are not familiar with Santelmo. This is a ball of fire, which is said to be the spirits of the people who died while in the bodies of water; example, a fishermen who died while fishing, then their spirit turns into a ball of fire. A lot people experience that had chased by this Santelmo; *so creepy*.
Aswang
I have read a lot of articles about Aswang, and I know all of those are real. Even my relatives share stories about this. Just a small description about as Aswang(*for those who are not familiar),* this is a human with evil spirit, they have a ability to change into other animals like dog, pig and cat.They eat human flesh, and their favorite food is the fetus or baby that wasn't born yet.

Bosom Enemy

I have a lot of friends, and truly blessed to have them. They are there when I need help, and I am also willing to lend my help everytime they need to.
As a girl, it is common to have a squad or bestfriend which is the same gender as you. But as I turned to highschool, there are some cases which I can say, *"to have a boy bestfriend is better".* Boys are easy to talk to than girls sometimes. *Lol!*
So I have this bestfriend, a boy bestfriend who are fun of having girlfriends. I don't know why he is like this, but based on my observation he is somewhat an attention seeker. We are in highschool when he first had his gf, after a months they broke up, then another new one came. This is always like this, everytime he broke up with his gf after 2-3 days there's a new one again. I'm a victim of this also, he is saying that he loves me but not, I know it's not love. Love is precious and I know if his intention is pure. Yes, our friendship is pure at first, but this characteristic of him make it ruin.
Our communication ended, but when we got into 4th year highschool, we became close again. We hang out with our other friends, and he even visit me at home just to talk about his life. My parents know him already, and that actually he is a kind, caring and generous friend; just his problem is being attention seeker.
*Fast forward..*
He is now a father, and after years of changing a lot of girlfriends, he finally found the girl for him. They are not yet married and having a baby is not in their plan but this blessing changed him a lot. He became more hard working and matured. He is now happy and contented on his gf and baby; not seeking for anyone's attention anymore.
Why I came up with this topic was because of the movie that I've watched last night, which is the Little Woman by Louisa May Alcott. This is another Contemporary Literature which shows the life of the 4 sisters. Why I said *"movie"* is because I suppose to read the book when I found out that it has 860 pdf pages. So what I did is just I watched the movie.

On the first chapter of the book, the 4 sisters' mom, Marmee, read a letter from their father to *" fight their bosom enemies bravely."* All the girls have their own bosom enemy that at the end of the story/movie they .....*.(I'm not gonna spoil for those who will watch)*
*Lastly, I know most of us are facing problems, within ourselves and surrounding. But always be brave and fight for it, try to handle those bosom enemies of yours; at the end it is our choice to be happy and free.*

Taking Care of your Nails

Fourth year highschool when I decided to transfer in other school, due to some reasons. Being a transferee, I have a lot of things to adjust even what to choose for my TLE major. I met a lot of new friends that time, but there is this one who is very close to me. When our teacher asked for the list of our chosen TLE major, she insist to get Nail Care as my mojor too; so I did.
On the First quarter of our class, we tackle about the nail itself and about the parts; which makes me surprise because I didn't expect tha nails have a lot of parts. Since discussing about it's parts is not my focus, I gonna leave this photo for you;
On our Fourth quarter, our TLE teacher told us to select a partner for the practicum, then ofcourse me and my friend is the partner. During the day of the practicum, it is my friend who perform first. The goal is to clean the nails and do an art design. She was working on my nail when she accidentally cut my nail walls, it start to bleed but it's okay I can endure the pain.
What makes me discouraged is although she already said sorry, she cut her nail walls too, saying *"we are now the same."* I was so shocked that time, since our teacher might think that it's me who cut her skin, a deduction on my points. I can sense that she did it for me to get a deduction points too, and not because she is sorry or guilty on what she did. I felt sad but it's okay, atleast I know the different side of her.
Speaking about learnings, I've learned that the growth of our nails defend on our activities. The reason why our nails grow longer in summer than winter, was because during summer we can do a lot of work, unlike winter or rainy season; staying only at home, lying in bed.
Aside from this, our nails are also a good indicator of our health. If you can see that your nail beds are pinkish, then this indicate that you're healthy; your blood circulation goes well, as it's your blood you makes it pink.
*Here are some common color of the nails that can indicate health problems:*
Red colored nail bed - heart disorder
Pale colored nails - anemic
Half white - half pink - kidney problem
White patches - liver dis-order
Yellowish nails - lung disease
Yellowish and slight blue - diabetes
But remember that there are factors that can affect the colors like water, detergent or any solvent where your nail soaked for a long time.
At last, TAKE CARE OF NAILS. Keep it short and clean, most girls make it long for beauty purposes and it's okay as long as you keep your nails in a good condition. Then ofcourse wash your hands and edges of your nails before and after you eat.

Bracelet for sale
I was 8 years old when I started to sell bracelets at school. Why I chose bracelet, was because I am a fan of arts, and to see the different styles of beeds makes me happy. I tried to create my own bracelet and my parents loves it so much, the reason why I am so motivated to make more. At first I only make 10 bracelets; as I remember. Then on the first day I bring those at school was sold out. I have a lot of classmate who likes my work and asked me to bring another the next day.
My parents are so supportive, especially my mom who always go with me at the mall to buy different styles of beeds, we bought it for a low price and everytime I sold all the bracelets, my capital turns multiple times. I sell it for 5php($0.1) - 10php($0.2), by this I can reach $20.
It started to change when my classmates like to get a lot of bracelets and will only say *"I will pay this on the next day"*. Of course at that age, all I can do is to agree. My parents notice that my income decreases, so they asked me, and I told them the truth that most of my classmates haven't pay it. My parents told me to asked them the money and not to let them do it again. I did on the next day, but all their answers were *"I don't have money", "I will pay it on the next day",* etc. Because of this my parents told me to stop selling, and until now those classmates of mine haven't pay it. Lol! It was so long but I can still remember them. But it's okay.
Candy for 1 php
During my highschool, canteen is so far from our classroom so I have a lot of classmates who are selling; polvoron, ice candy, munchkins...
That time, me and my bestfriends have a daily savings, we have notebook which was intended for it. We give 5 php everyday, and plan to use it for our bonding on Christmas. One of my friend have an idea that in order to grow our money more we should sell something. We talked and end up about selling candies. We can buy packs of candies and sell it for 1 php, in this case we can double our capital. Just we need to choose candies with low prices.
We finally bought and sell it at classroom, and it's all worth it; our money grows bigger. But we stopped because our school doesn't allow any student to sell in the classroom; maybe because no one will buy in the canteen. So all our business, ended.
Perfume
This is the last business I tried in school. My father met a man who sells perfumes and that we can create our own scents and logo. My father got interested on this and asked me to layout designs. My father's imagination is so wide that it's hard for me to layout those, I am not good in designing but his trust is so big.
Then everything was done, all the perfumes was ready to sell. I get 10 pcs and brought it to school, fortunately it was all sold out.
After months my parents got busy and father was not able to buy new products for perfume. Pandemic also started and the face-to-face classes need to stop. My parents focus on their work until this business ended.

Gifts From My Loved Ones

The Oldest
This is a gift from my grade 2 bestfriend. I am not a clingy person which is an opposite from my bestfriend that time. She is so sweet and likes to talk about me to her family. When I first met her sister, I discovered how frequent she talks about our friendship. I am so blessed to have her, and then she gave me this gift together with a letter. No special occasion, just a friendly gift on a regular day.
The Unexpected
I have older cousin who is not fun of giving gifts that time. We are both in Primary, when she give me this gift. She personally made it, with the help of her teacher in school. I'm also amazed when she said that it's only a yarn and formed it into a mini bag for me. Then I used this as my candy bag. Lol!
The Most
These are my favorite among all, because it was written and made by effort and love. That although it was simple, yet what was written inside is precious. These are given by my friends and former classmates, during Christmas party, Valentine's day, Farewell Party, Birthday and just a friendly letter on a regular day.
The most used
This was given by my bestfriend in highschool, and I always wear this at school. This is a common necklace in school that time, that we students eager to buy; just to my surprise my bestfriend gave me this as a gift.
The Recent
This was given by my college close friend. She was beautiful and smart, the reason why I'm really attracted to her from the very first day of the class. Until we became close and bestfriend at school. It was during the last day of our class(*before pandemic)*, when she surprised me with this ballpen; that I really love to have. I didn't use this actually and only keep in my box.
*Why I came up with these gifts is because God blessed me to be surrounded by the people with a good heart; even here in read.cash. This became one of my greatest achievements, to be able to preserved our friendship for so long and to keep these gifts as a sign of their love. I love to give, but to received is a different kind of happiness.*

Story of an Hour is a Contemporary Literature written by Kate Chopin in 1894.This depicts about the modern marriage life, which Mrs. Mallard the main character represents. I actually read this twice, as this kind of work uses a lot of imagery.
The story begins when Josephine and Richard, told Mrs. Mallard about the death of her husband due to train accident. Mr. Mallard wept and filled with sadness, and went to her room. When she's already alone in the room, she stop crying and felt relieved. The sadness turns to joy, thinking that the death of her husband means freedom. But on the last part of the story, when Ms. Mallard went out the room, her husband went home like there's is nothing happened, and confused what's going on. Mrs. Mallard was shocked, fell down and had a heart attack, which the doctor said, *"died of a heart disease - of the joy that kills".*
*Would you think that Mrs. Mallard was really happy seeing her husband? Or discourage about the change of plot?*
I am still a student, and marriage is not yet in my vocabulary, but why I came up with this topic was because some of my friends already entered this and end with frustration.
I have this friend whom I haven't meet again after we finished Grade 7, he transferred in different school and our communication was gone. After 6 years I saw him again in the city carrying a baby. I was surprised to see him, and then he show the baby, saying that it was his child. In a distance there was a beautiful girl that he point out, saying that it was her wife. I'm really happy for him because of that, and we say farewell and never meet again.
Recently, he chat me and asked how's my life going on, we are just chatting funny things until we came up into his marriage life and then he said that they already broke up because the girl cheated on him. The new guy is rich and have a business, which he think why his ex-wife chose to be with. Now he was so sad, since his ex-wife get the baby and stay away from him.

When I was a kid my father had a Nokia 3310, he was using it for business purposes and to communicate with our relatives. I really like to borrow it since, I like to play Snake and Space Impact. I tried to explore more, until I came up with the message options where I can send photos; a black and white pixel photos. I was really amazed in this feature, that I cannot lose interest even I will look at it whole day.
I have a loving but strict father, so when I was 12 years old he gave me a second hand phone; used to text them when I got to school, lunch and dismissal. They always have this line, *" Always wear your phone"*. As aside from that phone, they also bought ID sling for it. Everyday, I have two slings on my neck, one for my ID and one for my phone. Since I am not comfortable with it, everytime I got in school, I always get it and put in my pocket. Then during dismissal, I will wear it again, so when my parents see me they will not scold me.
I always have a load that time. Everyday my father buy me load, for him to contact me always. During that time, texting is common. As I can remember, I use my evening time 7 pm - 8 pm texting while watching TV or unwinding in our balcony, then sleep at 8:30.

This is how it started
*Today's article is something different from my previous articles. Let me have this one as a message from my heart. This article might be long, but I hope you guys will still read up to the last.*

The start of journey.
I first discovered about this platform while reading some post in noise.cash. I immediately search about it and open the site, but I felt discouraged since all the article I saw are about Cryptocurrency, BCH, Educational and others are about their earnings. The first thing that came in my mind is, *"I'm not expert about these topics; this platform doesn't suit for me."* But everything changed when I saw another post after weeks that one user shared about her life, I click her article then I saw a lot of comments; in there I discovered that I can share any topics.
Since before, I'm already fun of writing. A literal "*writing*", I always want my hand to write and write, why I love pens and art materials. To be a writer is one of my dream, I tried to write Wattpad style of stories, but I end up giving up; it was so hard me. Maybe the reason is I'm fun of educational, mystery and horror topics but I'm forcing myself to write something romantic, just for a stepping stone of my dream. But God grant my dream by giving me an opportunity to be in this platform.
July 28, 2021 is the very first day I published an article in read.cash. It took me weeks before signing up and create my own account. Why? Because I made an article first in my notebook. I keep on thinking what to published first until I came up with Ling's Introduction. After I published this, I visited Rusty. What makes me nervous is when Rusty mentioned that he don't like articles about introduction or being a newbie that long. And I made a mistake, I even make it as my title. The other side of my inner self was saying, *"Look! You made a mistake, he will not visit you forever,"* while the other side was *"Don't worry, you are just new here. Don't lose hope just with one mistake."*
Appreciation
On that very first article of mine, **Bloghound**, **ARTicLEE** and **Mictorrani** welcome me here. I felt so happy and welcome that time. All my worries about my first article fade because of them. After 3 days, I published another one, which was the first competition I joined, I'm a member of "Proud Bisaya" channel in noise.cash then I saw Sis **bmjc98**'s post about it. Childhood : A diamond stage of our life, is my entry. Just so funny because although I read the guide how to write an article, I still have questions like : how to tag her? How to make this a link?. 2 weeks had passed, and still Rusty haven't visit me. I actually not that sad, because first I already gain 5 sponsors that time, Aside form the 3 amazing users that I have mentioned above, **Codename_Chikakiku** and **Gaftekloriginal** also sponsored me, secondly, everytime I published an article, then I saw the views turns 2 or more, my heart was already jumping. Like *"Yeheyy! Someone read my article, someone read my own work!"* And that is what important to me. Until days after, one of my love ones have a problem financially, I cannot give anything since the money that I have is only intended for my tuition. What I did is I talk to God and told Him that read.cash is a big way to help him. Ofcourse I want to earn, but I love to help, and it's a burden in my heart not to help someone. And guess what, after that prayer, I open my account and see Rusty on my notification. GOD IS SO GOOD. I give to him all my earnings for the month of September; don't think that I am so good, I asked this for that purpose, I just did my part. Why I share this is to show how good is our God.
From that day, I also changed everything, instead of thinking articles which I think can suit for the other users, I decided to focus on what I love, and that is to share mystery and educational topics. Yes, I also shared ramdom articles, but I always have it every week. And instead of publishing article every after 3 days, I changed it to 2 days. And Rusty always visit me until now.
My Month of October
Last day of September when I plan to make a goal for my October. The article of **Niazi420** pushed me to this. I have read a lot of articles about total income of a month, but his article build my interest more.

Last day of October : Trick or Treat
*First and foremost, I want to greet everyone a Happy Halloween. We finally reached the last day of the October 2021, for sure a lot of us here already achieved thier goals. Tomorrow or days from now, we are going to read a lot of articles about achievements.*

I have mentioned before that Halloween is our biggest occasion next to Christmas. Halloween was like a reunion for most Filipinos; a time to gather and visit their love ones at the cemetery. Since it was a pandemic, most of us visit cemetery 2 or 1 week before October 31 - November 2 which was supposedly the exact day of celebration, it depends on the family on what day they prefer.
Before, we have this ***Matanglawin***, an educational tv show which was hosted by Kim Atienza or Kuya Kim. It was a Halloween season that time when one of their topics was, why people wear horror costumes during Halloween. According to Kuya Kim, people before already believed that every Halloween, ghost and other spiritual entity have the privilege to roam around on earth. Since people are afraid of ghost, they wear scary costumes or mask to act as a ghost too. In this case, if a real ghost might see them, then it will think that they are with them. For example, you wear a White Lady costume, once a real White Lady saw you, it will think you are a ghost too and no need to scare or get you.
How do you celebrate Halloween in this pandemic?
I spent my last two weeks of October sharing real life experience of horror stories, and I encountered some comments saying they are not celebrating Halloween. But what's good about it? They still greet and wish me luck, a big sign of love and respect.
In our case, we only stay at home and prepare flower and foods to offer. Candles are also ready for tomorrow, but hoping that I can't feel something scary. *Lol!*
And since I love horror and cartoons, I prefer to watch animated movies. If you want to spend your Halloween to bond with your family, then you like cartoons or have kids at home, these movies are the best to spend it:

To end this article, I will share another short story.
When my grandpa was just a kid, he was tasked to take care his baby brother when his parents are busy.
One day, her mother need to go to the market to buy some vegetables, her mother told him to watch his baby brother until she got home. Grandpa said yes, then her mother go.
Just a few minutes, her mother came back and took his baby brother from the hammock. My grandpa just look at her mother, and continue to play. After an hour, his mother came back, and asked *"where is your younger brother?"*. He was confused and said, *"you take him earlier".*
They immediately went to a Balete tree, provide some food for sacrifices, hoping that they will bring back his younger brother. But none, after that incident, they haven't seen his younger brother again.

The Color of Bravery
*What is your favorite color? Is it blue, pink, black, purple or other color which I haven't mentioned? Or maybe same with me the color of bravery; red.*
*But have you been in trouble or have some funny experience just because of your favorite color?*
*It was during my Primary years in school, grade 3, when I experienced a trouble because of this color. How it happened is the story that I am going to share.*

It was only a half-day class at the time, so my friends and I went home together at noon. We prefer to walk than to ride, because it is more enjoyable.
The sky was already dark at the time, so there's a good chance that it will rain; we're excited. And yes, after only a few minutes of walking, heavy rain began to fall. We are happy because it was Friday at the time, and we can enjoy the moment while it is raining.
Before going out in the campus, I already change my uniform blouse to T-shirt. So when the rain started, I use my blouse to cover my notebooks, so that it will not get wet. My bag already have thick silky garment inside, so the outer portion of the bag will get wet but not on the inside.
We were already half way to our destination when we noticed a large herd of cows walking toward the river.
*"Wait, I'm wearing red,"* one of my friend, Mark *(not his real name)* said.
We're all scared because, as far as we know, cows don't like the color red. It will chase you if you are wearing red.
So we stop in a distance, and wait for them to pass. Unfortunately, one of the cow look on us.Mark was already in a panic and exclaimed, *"Let's run!"* I take a look at myself and notice that my dark pink shirt and dark pink bag already turns to red because of the rain.
*My mom loves to buy me everything in pink because according to her,"you are a girl, so pink for you."*
And, yes, the cow begins to walk in our direction; however, in our panic, we flee in a different direction. Three of us run on the other side, while my girl bestfriend and I run on the other. We don't have a choice but to enter someone's home; their gate was open at the time, so we rushed in and hide.
There was a small *kubo-house* inside the gate, with the door open so we could see what was inside. When I looked through the open door, I saw a man sleeping naked, with only a blanket covering his lower half. I cling to my best friend's arm and whisper *"there's a man inside. He is naked!"*, then she just replied *"sshhh! Keep quiet"*
*Lol!*
We found out that the cow was really chasing after us because it stop in our spot. It was looking around trying to find us. I felt so scared that time because first, if this man inside the house wake up, for sure he will scold us, and secondly if the cow caught us, for sure he will chase me first because I am wearing red like color.
We wait and hide for almost half an hour, as I can remember. The rain already stop then we get out, luckily the man didn't woke up. Then we run going home.
At Monday, me and my friends met again, and we were all laughing as we told each other about our various situations at the time.
