Baguio trip- Botanical Garden
Weather was really unpredictable. Earlier this morning I was sweating early in the morning while going to the office but just this afternoon the heavy rain started to pour. I am not prepared and I don't even have anything to eat except two pieces of banana. I find it too lazy to go out to look for food or place an order. So these bananas will do.
So how are you ladies and gents? I just came back earlier this morning at around 01:30 AM from our trip to the summer capital of the Philippines, BAGUIO. I was so tired as my feet and legs hurt from walking and indeed lack of sleep. Still I report at work for today. Hehehe I spent some pennies during my trip so I need to work hard again.
As I posted in my previous article we leave the bus terminal at 05AM. I haven't eaten anything but I am glad my travel buddies prepared a sandwich. They were so thoughtful and it was specially made for me. No eggs, just some hotdogs and cheese. hehe perks of having buddies that LOVE food!
We arrived at Baguio at around 10AM so we opted to visit the Baguio botanical garden.
Entrance fee is only $.19 and you can already enjoy walking with a breath of fresh air and wonderful flowers. You can feel the vibes of Thailand, China, Paris, Canada and of course local Igorot.
The moment I stepped in I was captivated by these trees. I did ask one of the employees for the name but unfortunately he doesn't know. Anyone who had an idea?
I was standing while waiting for my companion when I heard someone saying " baby don't pull the mickey mouse" I was immediately alerted, I knew I had a small mickey mouse stuffed toy hanging on my back pack. When I turned around I saw a toddler on a verge of crying as she badly wanted my MICKEY. OH, I love to share but I could not give it to her. So I told her I am sorry but I can't let go of Mickey Mouse.
Before going down to China (theme) you will be passing by in this beautifully made arch planted with flowers. So just imagine walking through this with this in cold weather. I guess it would be better if you had someone holding your hands, para mas feel "HHWW". How I wish my sweetheart was with me but since he is not, I just hold my neck pillow. After all this was a gift from him.
I actually want to share pictures just to share how beautiful the place is but I was afraid my post would be flooded with photos. So I will just share this, the Thailand theme.
Before I forget, for those who love plants and flowers there are also a few stalls where you can buy. From different types of flowering plants, to succulents, cactus etc.
Before we leave the place, we drop by into the area where you can rent traditional Igorot costumes. You will be paying only $1 and you can have unlimited photos. I already shared about this in my previous article. It was already past 12 noon when we decided to go to Burnham park to eat our lunch. No not there but at the restaurant near, ' THE GOOD TASTE". The food was very affordable plus it was indeed delicious.
And of course we tried that Strawberry TAHO!
I am sorry if you were flooded by my pictures, it is just now that I realized I haven't taken pictures of the place without me. Hahaha, I think I was just excited as this was only the second time I traveled since the pandemic. My first one was last year when I went into hiking. One year had passed. I am just hoping the decreasing of Covid cases will continue so that we can go back to our normal life!
That's all for today and have a great night.

Kulang ang photos na napost lol! Bottlebrush tawag dun sa trees. Usually may mga identifiers na nakalagay parang sa Burnham pero baka di na sila naglagay jan.
