When I was a kid

When I was a kid, around four to five years old. People told me that life is like a race. That I needed to win in order to success in life. That idea is stucked into my mind and shape myself.

I know that it's not just me who fall into that kind of thinking. About life being a race. It's not just me but like almost all of you here in readcash fall into this one. It's not just me who's studying so hard to get an award. Who's doing their best on getting high grades just to wear medals every recognition year. It's not just me, who's collecting certificates and achievements. It's not just me but all of you.

But then, one time I tried to travel. I'm with my family that time, and it is a 8 hours road trip. I'm at the window seat, that's why I could see clearly what's outside and where we are passing by. A short 8 hours journey becomes a life changing to me. I'm just staring at the road, the houses, the planes mountains and trees. And I enjoy it very much. I was like "the journey to the destination is also interesting". And worth giving attention too. And so it will be more great if you're going a road with your loveones. It is my family who's I'm with that time. The moment and bonding while in the vehicle, the laughter and happiness is what I love the most.

That time is when I realized, that it is not only the goal that is important but also the road we took just to have it. The experience, the learning the enjoyment from it is the bestest to have. The fruit of our labor is just the bonus part. That's why, since that then, I doesn't gave much focus on my goal but rather in what is happening in today's present. That's I don't care, if one of my friends is already successful and I'm not, because know I will going to take my turn not now but soon. Because the experience and learnings from it is more important than the goal. That's why to all my friends in there, I kept on telling them, that the life is not a race but a given moment to enjoy.

I remember just a few days ago, after playing basketball with some of my friends. We're talking about random stuffs and things, and our topics went to our other friends. He is side hustling in life, keep on grinding he is to earn money. That's great actually, he's saving most of his earnings for the future. And one of my friends says that, my friend who's grinding should enjoy he's life. Because he can't bring his wealth to heaven or another life. He also says that "the life is not about who's richer and who's richest but if who enjoy it the most."
