Old days vs Present days: Advantage and Disadvantage of Technology

Our situation pushed me to do this article. Since the Typhoon Ulysses hit the Philippines and many Filipinos suffer on shutting down of electricity, many of us can't recharge mobile phones since there is no power supply and while observing every corner of our community, I realized something important and different things that we can do better in old days compared to present days.

Old days Vs Present days
In this generation different things are discovered with the help of technology. There's a different platform created in different country such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Viber and any other platforms that can be useful.

Most of this platforms has a relation to each other and can be useful in terms of communication.

Present days
Nowadays we can communicate with the help of technology and it can makes our life easier since we don't need to give some efforts to communicate to your family, love ones and especially to your friends. We just need an internet connection and click the call button to communicate on your friends instead of going on their house.

There'a a lot of things that we can do WITH the help of technology and it is one of the following:

1. Communicate. Nowadays communication is one of the easier to do because you can do it even your friends are not on your side. You can call them even your family is on the abroad (on the other country).

2. Entertain. We can also entertain with the help of technology. There's a different movie shows that you can watch on television. You can listen music on the television, radio, and even speakers. We can also entertain ourselves using our cellphones by playing different games (Mobile Legends, Among us, Call of duty, Wildrift)

3. Share. With the use of differe platforms we can share our knowledge our opinions, our ideas, and even our emotions. We can post it on differet platforms that we knew.

4. Learn. Learning is one of the most important in our life. By the technology, people continuously discovered different things because they also continuously learning different things that leads into new discoveries and very interesting subjects.

5. Study. Nowadays we can actually learn in different and easy way. Imagine that you have an assignment in Mathematics and with the help of internet and Google we can immediately study and learn something. "How to solve algebraic equations" by just typing this kind of keywords and one press of Enter, you have an instant information without giving a lot of effort and without waiting on the line.

Now, the very exciting and interesting part of this article! What are the things that we can do better without the help of technology? Is the old days is better on the presend days? Let me give you some introduction about the old days.

In our country, the Philippines. It was so hard to live without technology. The men (either a woman) will plant grains in order to make rice and to eat. You need to go on the house of your friend so that you can communicate. You need to work so hard so you'll have a money. You need to work to feed your family.

But despite of these challenges did you know that we will also have a benefits from this kind of living.

Things that we can do WITHOUT technology:
1. Communicate. Obviously we can still communicate without the help of technology but I think that communicating without technology is better than with the use of technology. Since you can talk personally on the person and you can improve you communication and socializing skill.

2. Entertain. Unlike with technology, entertaining without technology is much better. Why? Because on the old days, people are mostly playing outside the house, playing basketball and different physical activities. This can be the way of entertaining yourself and exercise at the same time.

3. Share. Actually you can also share your opinions without technology and can be better because of interaction.

4. Learn. Learning on the old days is more difficult in terms of resources but in terms of being peaceful in is more easy. I know that most of us prefer to study on the peaceful and tranquil place.

5. Study. I admit that studying on the old days is quite difficult but I believe that you will LEARN more compared on the way of studying nowadays. Imagine you are using the library to study your lesson and you will read it manually every detail on the books unlike using internet you can easy copy and paste it without reading.

ADVANTAGES OF TECHNOLOGY
•Things are more easier
•Almost unlimited resources
•Easy access
•Easy communication
•Can communicate on different part of the world

DISADVANTAGES OF TECHNOLOGY
•Less communication (personally)
•Less exercise
•Can make your eyes blurry
•Can cause radiation (too much using of mobile phones/tables/ios/pc)

ADVANTAGES OF NO TECHNOLOGY
•exercise more
•Close family ties
•Improve your social skills
•Learn more
•Being independent

DISADVANTAGES OF NO TECHNOLOGY
•Works are more difficult
•Hard to communicate when the other person is far
•Things are manually operated

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

"One is enough, two is too much" I do believe that too much are bad and being abusive. Too much using of technology can cause disadvantages. Be balanced. Always maintain the usage of technology and do the other things that you can do without technology. Always discipline yourself on doing things. Think twice before you click.
