What Advice Can You Give to Young Adults That Are Wasting Time?

How many people you have seen going to parties, having fun, and going out with their friends but are financially broke?

I am not saying that this is wrong, but commonly, people like this are young adults who love having fun just to go with their peers.

I know that I shouldn't give a fuck about their business...mind your own business as they said. But if you will be given a chance to advise young adults who are wasting time, what can you say?

Start early

If there will be any advice that I can give, it is to start early while you are young. As a young adult who is struggling financially, I know the difficulty of having a lack of financial support.

I know the struggle of life. That's the fact.

So, I studied and read books by successful people. One common thing that they are saying is to start early.

why?

Because you cannot buy time.

One statement that I always hear from people out there "enjoy your life while you are young because you will grind and work when you are an adult."

It might be true.

But if you started early, the power and effort that you will exert will be lessened because you already have foundation and support.

I believe that when you start early saving and investing while you are young, the financial and life burden that you will carry will be lessened in the future.

Invest in yourself

Don't have enough money to invest in? Then start investing in yourself.

You don't have to buy online courses from the internet. You can now get them for free through social media platforms such as YouTube.

Today, what you need to have is skills to become profitable. Start learning in-demand skills such as copywriting, SEO, programming, etc.

There are many freelancing platforms on the internet to start earning money. There are many opportunities online. One of these is writing online without owning a website.

The best asset that you can have is yourself. You have to become literate to survive.

Grow your network and connections

While you are young, start connecting with like-minded people. Because here's the truth, no man is an island.

Let's accept the fact that we cannot live alone and we will need the help of other people at any time. There will be a time when you will ask for their help.

Your friends and network will be the ones that will help you through your hard times.

Also, when you are looking for a job, there are times that you will get hired easily if you have connections in the company (good or bad? err) but that's the truth.

Lower your ego and pride because you cannot survive alone.

Conclusion

In conclusion, never waste your time in your early days. You cannot bring back the time. It is one of the most important things in the world.

You cannot buy time.

It is not bad to have fun and go to parties. Don't be harsh to yourself. But learn to keep everything balanced and on your budget.
