Hello everyone, how are you today? This article's topic reminds me of one of Rihanna's songs with the same title but that's not what we are here to discuss today π. I was feeling happy today after I read that the ongoing University strike in my country has been extended by 3 months (at this point I know some Nigerian students here will love to murder me π€£).
Public universities all over the country have been on strike since February and the duration of the strike was supposed to end today everyone was awaiting the final verdict and it just two decisions that have to be considered: either the strike action is called off and we can all go back to school or it is extended and we all remain at home pending when it's finally called off.
I was speaking with one of my friends yesterday and she said the strike will definitely be called off but I told her I have my reservations about that and I think it will be extended. I even told her we can place a bet to see who predicts right but she declined π turns out my prediction came to pass.
Anyways, students in public universities all over the country now have to stay home for the next three months and some of them already wasted the previous month doing nothing at home. I would have been one of those people that wasted these past three months, but luckily for me, I got readcash on my side π
Having enough time to grind here daily and making money while at it makes staying at home all worth it. That's actually part of the reason why I don't want the strike to be called off soon; I need to save a lot of money before going back to school. I finally got what I wanted and the strike has been extended, so, what now?
I am going to pick up a digital skill or rather I am going to resume learning a digital skill I have put on pause for too long now and that's coding/programming. It has been on the back of my mind for the past couple of days but I always brush it off because I thought the strike will be called off and I will have to place my learning on hold again, but since it has been extended, I am just going to make the most of the next three months π.
I am pretty much going to have my hands full with learning programming, but I am still going to be very much active here on readcash. I still have a couple of goals I will like to achieve (financially) and readcash is going to do that with the power of BCH π. Speaking of BCH, what the hell is wrong with the entire cryptoverse?!! Rusty keeps tipping me but the BCH in my wallet keeps reducing, I checked the price in binance and I almost had a heart attack.
Things are definitely getting worse, anybody knows what's causing all these? Now is actually a good time to accumulate more BCH (that's if Rusty agrees with me) and keep hoping the market will stabilize one day. Luckily for me, I don't have any major money problems to take care of right now and I am just going to keep hodling.
To the students who are currently home right now because of the strike, please don't just stay at home doing nothing, try to learn a thing or two that will be useful to you after you graduate from school. The labor market isn't friendly and it won't be funny if you rush into it with just your University degree and no other additional skill.
You don't have to learn a digital skill if you can't handle it, there are physical skills out there that can be monetized and act as additional income. Be it tailoring, hairdressing, catering, photography, cleaning agent production (soap, detergent, and the rest), as long as it's profitable, then go for it.
But is there anyone here that can't handle learning a digital skill? Just by being here and publishing articles daily, you're already into digital tech and that's content writing. The good thing about readcash is that aside from the earning opportunity it provides, it's also a good place for you to hone your writing skills. Other digital skills you can learn are:
Graphics design
Digital marketing
Programming/coding (web and app development)
Digital product management
Business data analytics
Social media
Video editing
3D animation
UI/UX design
Copywriting
Search engine optimization.
These are the very good ones I can recommend to anybody that wants to learn a digital skill. For now, I have learned graphics design and I am now into coding (I find this one more fun for me than graphics design). I have seen some people here creating really beautiful cover photos for their articles and their creativity is quite obvious, now imagine what they will be able to do if they properly learn that skill.
Many students see this extra three months of the strike as a waste of time but I see it as an opportunity to learn something. The good thing about acquiring a skill is that it will still be useful to you when school resumes. You can be earning money comfortably while in the university and you will have something to do when you graduate from school, you might not even need to look for a job afterward.
It's actually not going to be easy acquiring those skills but does anything good ever come easy? Of course not. It's going to be very difficult from the start but it will be easier as time goes on and you will get to reap the benefits as long as you are disciplined enough to keep going, just think about it π.
Quick detour
The price of BCH keeps going down like the titanic sinking down into the ocean. Right now I have lesser BCH in my readcash wallet than what was there 12 hours ago, despite the fact that rusty visited my articles. He keeps tipping but my balance keeps reducing and at one point I just screamed "what the f*ck is going on?!" π I think I will just transfer my BCH to an external wallet, I can't keep looking at Its downfall.
Thanks for reading πππ

To be sincere, the dip I've seen since yesterday has offered my mind a second thought on hodl. The more I hodl, the more it diminishesπ΄π΄.
