Howdy folks ๐ค how are you all doing today? My day has been a bit crazy starting from the fact that we didn't have water in our hostel in the morning, and we were supposed to have a class at 10am. It was a few minutes to 10am and there was still no hope of water, so I had no choice but to have an expensive bath.
What do I mean by an expensive bath? I had to use a bag of sachet water to take my bath ๐ฉ and it cost about N150 ($0.3). But let's go straight to the topic, I am here to talk about something I experienced a few weeks ago.
Now we were on a bus going to Victoria island for lectures and usually, there are some touts on the road that collects tax from commercial bus drivers but any time they come to our bus, we tell them it's a chartered bus and we are students, so they let us go.
But last week, one of them approached us and he was a little boy, he was already screaming that we should stop the bus and give him money. One of us that was close to the window was trying to explain to him that we were students and he poured an alcoholic drink on him.
This got my classmate infuriated and he was about to get down from the bus for a showdown, but we all held him back. It's not like he will lose when he fights the boy, he will definitely wipe the floor with him but we held him back because we knew people like that will definitely have a backup.
There are other touts around because that's usually how they operate, they don't usually move solo, they move as a group. For a young boy to have the courage to confront a bus filled with students, you will know he has something up his sleeves and apart from having backups, they are definitely armed as well.
The young boy wasn't even helping matters, when he was about to leave he still punched my classmate through the window and this got him even angrier. He was like a raging bull inside the bus and we were trying hard to hold him down. It's better to avoid a fight because it's not going to end well for us, we are going to be swarmed by the touts all around and they are going to be armed as well.
I have also noticed the same thing with gangsters, the major reason they join a gang or cult is to have a backup during the time of trouble and that's usually what gives them the courage and bravery to do something reckless without fear. They fully know that the person they are confronting won't be able to fight back a crowd, but sometimes it doesn't end very well for them.
I have seen a situation when a group of cultists that were 3 confronted a young man and they tried to extort money from him. The young man didn't even argue with them and gave them all he has with him and he left. He came back later with a car filled with soldiers ๐ it turned out he was a soldier and he didn't say anything earlier because he wants to also bring his backup to the party.
So it became a battle of who had the strongest backup and you already know the answer to that. The soldiers drilled the cultists so bad that we on the sidelines were pitying them. I think after that experience, those cultists will give their life to Christ ๐.
When it comes to military strength, those cultists know better than to stay clear of a known military man because they know that there are different levels when it comes to backups. The numbers they think are giving them strength is the same number that gives soldiers their strength, they battle as a team ๐

Thos thugs are something else o. That bravery that that little boy showed ain't ordinary I promise. He's definitely under the influence of some substances. Unlike your friend that wanted to fight with his bare hands, those thugs are never without weapons because they know they can't beat you in a hand to hand combat as those drugs she have finish their body already. .. How would a person of such a educational level be fighting with a mere rascal sef. I know they could be very annoying but it is best never to stoop to their level.
