So so long, Pi is here Waking up this morning, I headed onto my trust wallet to see what's up with the crypto market and I was so impressed and happy. This is because for so long now, the Cryptoverse as been experiencing a significant fall in values. I know most of us will definitely remember the Luna incident and I'm sure it will have taught us one or two lessons about FUDing during the bearish times. It's is a very valuable lesson not to sell off ones assets during the bearish times. Although, truth be told, it can be really fearful and sad during those times but with patient and understanding, we'll get out of it just like we are doing now. The amazing thing is that some people actually took that opportunity to amass more Cryptocurrencies for themselves and right now they are reaping the benefits. Truth is not everyone has the heart to withstand dips so, it advisable to sell off only part not all of an asset just so as to hold onto something in case the dip continues. But for crypto experts out there they know for sure that the best time to buy is during the dip seasons so they would continue to buy with each dip there by given them an unimaginable profit at the end of the dip seasons. Good prospect right? Did you hear the news about Pi I was browsing through twitter today and one of my friends just dropped an update about the happenings around Pi network. If you can remember, Pi mining started some years ago and we have all been expecting it to be listed and take real value but the team has been so slow and indecisive on the matter, the result was that may people starting losing hope and credibility in the project. Many People either deleted the mining app or didn't even bother to check in to continue the mining while some remained faithful to the cause. Well, I personally lost my phone and had to re login to network which didn't restore my already mined Pis. Back to today, my friend was telling me that a pie now cost as much as #300 that's about $0.5 and that some people are willing to pay #600 or $1 for it. According to Pi network a pi may cost up to $34000 in Nigeria. I was so sad and at the same time furious that I was not able sell part of mine cos I have just little amount of it since I just started re mining some times ago. Some of my friends had over 12000 Pi in their wallets and sold just a little part of their accumulated assets. A friend sold half of his for as much as $3500. Though another friend said he would just hold his Pi till it is listed so he can sell it for a bigger value in the crypto market or probably swap it for another crypto, I am left with no choice than to hold mine. So, what amount of Pi are you hold? Do you plan on holding for a long time or for a short time? Are you going to sell it on a P2P basis or wait till it is listed? And if you are selling it on a P2P, what if when listed one cost $10000 would you feel bad for selling yours? If at the end, Pi is never listed, how would feel for not selling yours now? I'd love to read your comments in the comment section. Conclusion It's been long that I actually write on this platform and I had to just use article as my re entry article. Trying to get ones PVC is quite becoming almost an impossible and Herculean task in Nigeria today. But that's a story for another day. Due to the expected violent and destruction of life and property that may come as a result of the coming presidential election in Nigeria, the Intersociety union in the Eastern part of Nigeria as issued out a strong warning to the presidential candidates and as called on top countries of the world to keep a close watch on them so as to maintain peace and Harmony in the country. Here is the news in detail; *The Int’l Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) has warned the Presidential Candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Atiku Abubakar, the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi and others to stay clear of ‘direct or indirect sponsorship of pre-election and election violence or aiding and abetting of same.’* *Intersociety gave this warning in a press statement in Onitsha, Eastern Nigeria on Thursday, June 16, 2022 signed by its Board Chairman, Emeka Umeagbalasi; Head, Democracy and Good Governance, Chinwe Umeche Esquire and Head, Campaign and Publicity, Chidimma Udegbunam Esquire and subsequently charged the presidential aspirants to prohibit their supporters from attacking citizens wanting to register or obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PCV).* *The statement reads: “The Int’l Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) is seriously warning the Presidential Candidates of the APC, Mr. Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the PDP, Mr. Atiku Abubakar to shun and desist from direct or indirect sponsorship of pre election and election violence or aiding and abetting of same. Their sponsors are also those afraid of allowing a level playing ground to test their popularity or otherwise in the forthcoming 2023 Presidential Election and desperately bidding to rule the country not through credible and popular ‘one-person-one-vote’ but by way of robotic and crooked electoral means secured through thuggery and barrels of gun’,” the statement further reads.* *Intersociety also called on all Presidential candidates to ‘champion the campaign for CVR exercise and digital voting’ by issuing ‘a joint statement urging all Nigerians of voting age presently not with PVCs to massively go to INEC registration centers to register or obtain their PVCs.’* *“The three leading Presidential Candidates: Mr. Ahmed Bola Tinubu, a Southwest Muslim Presidential Candidate of the APC; Mr. Atiku Abubakar, a Northeast Muslim Candidate of the PDP; and Mr. Peter Obi; a Southeast Christian Candidate of the Labor Party and others must openly shun violence and champion campaign for Continuous Voters Registration exercise and use of side-by-side electronic and manual voting in the 2023 Presidential Election and its auxiliaries. The Candidates must also specifically encourage all Nigerians of voting age who have not obtained their PVCs or those with lost PVCs or those seeking to transfer theirs; irrespective of their age, gender, class, ethnicity, religion and geographical location to have their PVCs possessed with ease. None of the leading three Candidates must again be allowed to directly or indirectly sponsor or aid or abet electoral violence including frightening and terrorizing by proxy violent entities citizens seeking to obtain their PVCs. As a matter of fact, the Candidates shall issue a joint statement urging all Nigerians of voting age presently not with PVCs to massively go to INEC registration centers to register or obtain their PVCs. Since INEC still legally has over seven months to CVR deadline, the three leading Candidates and others shall jointly or separately call on the Commission to officially and publicly extend the CVR exercise for at least two months or August 2022 and ensure that its online portals are accessed without hitches by online voters’ card registrants. The remaining five months or Sept 2022 to January 2023 will be enough for the Commission to clean up, update, print and issue registered voters who have not obtained their PVCs with same. The 2023 Presidential Candidates, security chiefs and INEC must be reminded unmistakably that rights to vote or be voted by every citizen of Nigeria of voting age is a fundamental human right dutifully and justiciably protected by the country’s Constitution and relevant int’l rights instruments including the African Charter and the Int’l Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of 1981 and 1976 respectively”, the group stated.* *In conclusion, Intersociety called on the United States (US), Canada, United Kingdom (UK), member states of the European Union (EU) and others to ‘keep their eyes open’ and strictly monitor the ongoing political activities in the country so at to sanction defaulters accordingly.* *“The Int’l Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law hereby call upon the influential and powerful international actors especially the Governments of US, UK, Canada and Member-States of the European Union and others to strictly keep their eyes open. Putin escapes attempted assassination, Ukrainian's security stops Putin's assassination *Hello dear read cashers,* Today was really stressful as I had to do multiple tasks almost at the same time. I had wanted to upload an article since morning but I couldn't because of what I was doing. Not to take too much of our time, following the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian military, there has been various development around this invasion ranging from destruction of one of Russia's most advanced weapon, demoralization of the Russian soldiers to the plot to kill Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia. Here is the full gist; *Ukraine has claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin already survived an assassination attempt at the start of the war in February, and now fresh claims have emerged that further attempts could be imminent. Ukraine’s Chief of Defence Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, said this week that Putin was almost killed two months ago. He told Ukrainian Pravda: “Putin was [almost] assassinated…He was even attacked in the line of, as they say, representatives of the Caucasus not so long ago. “This is non-public information. Absolutely unsuccessful attempt, but it really took place… It was about two months ago.”* *“Once again, he was unsuccessful. There is no publicity about this event, but it took place. “* *And in March, it emerged that ongoing threat’s to the president’s life were increasing.* *The Ukrainian intelligence body said a “group of influential” members of the “Russian elite” were planning to poison Putin.* *The plan involved removing Putin from power in order to install a new leader and mend ties with the West, it was claimed.* *According to the intelligence brief, the Kremlin figures were furious at the impact the war and subsequent sanctions have had on the Russian economy.* *In fact, Kyiv even claimed that a new leader – Alexander Bortnikov – has already been lined up.* *Mr Bortnikov is the director of the Russian security services (FSB).* *Mr Budanov said: “It is known that Bortnikov and some other influential representatives of the Russian elite are considering various options to remove Putin from power.* *“In particular, poisoning, sudden disease, or any other ‘coincidence’ is not excluded.”* *While criticism of the Russian government is difficult due to Putin’s authoritarian rule, some voices have spoken against the Kremlin line since the invasion began.* *Oleg Tinkov is one of Russia’s best-known entrepreneurs and one of the most high profile Russians to publicly call out the actions of Mr Putin.* *He posted on social media that 90 percent of Russians were against the war in Ukraine and added “morons in any country are 10 percent”.* *Mr Tinkov continued: “I don’t see a SINGLE beneficiary of this insane war! But I have also spent much of my life as a citizen of Russia, building and growing businesses.* *“I am deeply attached to Ukrainian and Russian peoples and see the current conflict as a tragedy for them both.* *“This crisis will cost lives and damage two nations who have been brothers for hundreds of years. While a solution seems frighteningly far off, I can only join those whose fervent desire is for the bloodshed to end.”* *Mikhail Khodarenok, a retired Russian military colonel and analyst, appeared on Russian-state TV last week and suggested that “the situation [for Russia] will clearly get worse”.* In another news: British and Ukrainian security 'stopped Putin assassins' as leader had 5 failed attempts *Russian leader President Vladimir Putin has survived no fewer than five assassination attempts over the past few years, and is now escorted everywhere he goes by a team of crack snipers ready to take out any assailants.* *According to Ukraine ’s Chief of Defence Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov, Putin was the target of an “unsuccessful” assassination attempt about two months ago, at the very start of the war on Ukraine.* *But – according to reports – this is just the latest in a long line of attempts on the tyrant’s life, leading to an increasingly paranoid Putin employing body doubles and food tasters – even having his swimming pool water regularly tested to make sure that no poisonous chemicals have been added to the mix.* *A source close to the Russian security services said: “His close protection team make sure his food is checked, no one gets close to him without their approval. Sergei Devyatov, a press secretary for the Federal Guard Service, said that “not a psychopath but a certain organisation was behind the attempt.”* *Putin health fears grow as Russian dictator misses annual ice hockey match* *There were at least two attempts on Putin’s life in 2002.* *One attempt took place during Putin’s official visit to Azerbaijan, when Iraqi citizen Kyanan Rostam tried to plant a bomb.* *Azeri security services foiled Rostam’s attempt, according to a statement by Namik Abbasov, head of the Azeri National Security Ministry,* *A month later, a man named Ivan Zaitsev arrived at the Kremlin, claiming to be the President of Russia and announced that he was there “to cut Putin’s head off” to prevent Russia falling under control of the Nazis. He was detained and incarcerated in a mental institution.* *According to Alexander Litvinenko, the former officer of the Russian Federal Security Service who was later killed on Putin’s orders, an attempt on the Russian leader’s life was foiled by Scotland Yard.* *The ringleader of the attempt, named by Litvinenko as “Major P”, told him of a plan to ambush Putin on a foreign trip and get Chechen fighters to “pop up somewhere on Putin’s route with sniper rifles”.* *Litvinenko, suspected that the alleged assassination was a “sting” set up by the FSB to incriminate him. So he reported the conversation to the Metropolitan. Police, who arrested the major and another Russian. They were later released on condition that they return to Moscow.* *But a more serious attempt, again with British links, was revealed in 2012.* *Russia’s state-run Channel One television broadcast footage of two men who it accused of belonging to a terror group formed by Chechen warlord Doku Umarov.* *One of the accused men, Ilya Pyanzin, confessed: “They told us that first you come to Odessa to learn how to make bombs. And then later, in Moscow, you will stage attacks against commercial objects, with the subsequent assassination attempt against Putin”.* *The second suspect was named as Adam Osmayev, an international fugitive who had been living in London for some time. This time around it is on **how hackers get your password.** I think this will be beneficial to all of us seeing the way accounts (both financial institute based and social media based) are been hacked nowadays. It is important we learn the ways to they operate so we can know how to protect our accounts. Here is the article below; Ever wonder how hackers get your password and gain access to your account? Recent research has identified several major ways: Password theft Password guessing Unauthorized password resetting or bypass “The biggest reason why people hate passwords is they’re all being told that they all need to be longer and longer and more complex,” started Roger Grimes, a Data-Driven Defense Evangelist at security awareness training company KnowBe4. He says phishing emails are a top way hackers get our passwords. You’ve seen them before – they say your Netflix account is about to be deactivated, your Facebook account has a copyright issue or something needs to be fixed with your Instagram. They trick us into handing over our information by making us log into a page that looks like the real thing but instantly sends our username and password to hackers, who immediately take over our accounts. Another top way your password gets out into the wild: when a website is hacked. This is a treasure trove for hackers, since they often get access to millions of usernames and password combinations they can then try on other websites. “If you’re a normal everyday internet user, twice a year your password is stolen from a website you belong to,” explained Grimes. This is why you should never reuse the same password over and over, or even a variation of that password. “People think they’re being really crafty but probably 80-90 percent of passwords are fairly predictable even if I don’t know you,” explained Grimes. The passwords you create are easy for hackers to guess using simple software. “I know of hackers today routine guessing up to 16 to 18 characters human created passwords all the time just as what they do every single day,” said Grimes. So, how do you protect yourself and your accounts? First, don’t get tricked. Learn the signs of phishing emails and social engineering and slow down, especially if a message urges you to act immediately. Also, keep the software on your devices up to date, enable two factor authentication on your accounts and most importantly, use a password manager. “As far as we know, an 11 or 12 character perfectly random password is unguessable, uncrackable,” said Grimes. Good choices for password managers include Bitwarden (free!), Dashlane and 1Password. Google and Apple also have built in password managers, but I typically only recommend those if you’re sticking to just their products. If you must create a password yourself on the fly, try a passphrase instead. This is a long, random sentence that you can remember, but that would be tough for someone else to guess. Just don’t use common phrases. So there it is, never fall for their tricks. Also, do not expose or tell anyone your password. Keep it somewhere safe and personal. So here is a new discovery of some artifacts by some awesome team of archeologists. FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A team of archaeologists digging along the Great Pee Dee River in South Carolina are finding out more about the Native Americans who once lived there. Chris Judge, secretary of the Archaeological Society of the Pee Dee and the assistant director of Native American studies at USC Lancaster, said rivers like the Great Pee Dee were the interstates of the pre-colonial era, serving as hubs for settlements and commerce. He said the team has found evidence of groups living in the area over the span of thousands of years. By Friday, the team was about halfway done with its dig. Archaeologists and volunteers dug out excavation blocks, then sifted through the dirt in the hopes of finding artifacts. He said the oldest artifact the team has uncovered so far dated back 2,500 years. Many of the artifacts found originated in the Mississippian Era, when Native American communities covered much of what is now the United States. Truck driver plows into Peru’s 2,000-year-old archeological enigma “It’s the final stage of Native American development before the European invasion,” Judge said. He believes the people who lived in what is now Florence County, South Carolina, were on that society’s frontier. “They were probably somewhere between a chiefdom level society and a state level society. We don’t want to take anything away from them — they were complex,” Judge said. “The Mississippians were aware of one another at a great distance, traveling, trading and in contact with them.” Judge said over the millennia, many different groups settled in the region, leaving small traces behind that lasted through the ages. Some of those traces included evidence of posts, which archaeologist Tariq Ghaffar of SCDNR believes could have been part of a house. “It’s always interesting to try and reconstruct in your mind what the environment was like and what the culture was like 3,000 years ago,” Ghaffar said. Ben Zeigler, chairman of the Archaeological Institute of the Pee Dee’s board, said this is the group’s second dig. The first uncovered the Cashaway Baptist Church in Darlington County, which originated in the 1700s. He said their next project will aim to find Revolutionary War General Francis Marion’s camp on Snow Island. “Mississippian sites in the Pee Dee are relatively rare,” Zeigler said. “We don’t know a lot about the Mississippian period in the Pee Dee, so we feel like this is a great opportunity to learn.” Some of the volunteers aimed to learn about a more personal history, like Cheryl Cail, the vice chief of the Waccamaw Indian People. “Our ancestors were here,” Cail said. “It’s really spiritual, I guess is the best way to say it. Being here, where I know they may have done their hunting, cooking, catching fish in the river and surviving.” The dig was funded by the Florence County Council on land owned by Santee Cooper. The team hopes to display the artifacts at the Florence County Museum. How to make your battery life longer *Hello friends,* In this article, I will be sharing a post I saw which I think will be useful for most of us here. It is on how to prolong our phone's battery lives cos most people, me especially, are faced with the dilemma of weak battery. So here we go We’ve all been there: You’re out of the house for most of the day, or exploring a new city on a trip, and you realize you didn’t bring a phone charger with you. This realization often comes around the time you notice your battery is running low. And sometimes, buying a new charger isn’t an option. Having your phone battery die is hardly the end of the world, but it can certainly pose challenges if you need to navigate an unfamiliar place or keep in contact with people. Fortunately, there are ways to extend your battery life and buy yourself some time before you can reach a charger. Below, tech experts share their tips. Turn on low power mode “Most phones nowadays have a battery-saving feature, and iPhones specifically have a feature called ‘low power mode,’” said technology reviewer and journalist Elly Bailey, aka Elly Awesome. “This reduces or alters many features to save battery life, such as your phone’s display brightness, automatic downloads, background app refresh and more. So, if you can toggle this on, it’s a no-brainer.” While iPhones automatically ask users if they’d like to turn on low power mode once the battery falls below a 20% charge, turning it on even sooner can help save more power. You can find the “low power mode” option under the Battery tab in Settings on iPhones and the analogous “battery saving mode” feature in the same place on Android phones. Disable location services “Some apps keep close track [of] your location, even when you’re not using them,” noted Jessica Naziri, founder of the technology and lifestyle blog TechSesh. “They do this through a process called Location Services, and although it’s meant to be unobtrusive, it can take up precious amounts of battery power.” Naziri advised going into your settings and turning off location tracking for all your apps at once, or going through them one by one and making choices. Turning off location services means those apps will use less power. Bailey made a similar recommendation: “If you’re really desperate to keep that last bit of charge, I would suggest going into your location services and turning it off ― if this isn’t a safety issue for you.” Reduce screen brightness “Your phone’s display is one of its most power-hungry components, so if you’ve got the brightness slider pegged at maximum, it’s going to drain your battery in no time,” said technology writer and video creator Michael Fisher, aka MrMobile. “If you’re not outdoors in broad daylight, bumping that brightness down a little ― or a lot ― is a great way to conserve battery power.” Naziri noted to “make sure the ‘auto-brightness’ is turned on, so the screen will automatically dim if you’re in a dark setting.” Turn off Wi-Fi Many features that make smartphones such a great convenience ― like Wi-Fi access ― naturally use a good bit of battery power. So if your goal is to prevent reaching 0% before you can get to a phone charger, disable those functions. “Turn off extra features like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi if you’re not using them,” Bailey advised. Close battery-draining apps If you want to preserve battery, pay attention to the apps you have open on your phone and what they’re doing. “Those apps that suck up our time are also the biggest battery-drainers,” Naziri noted. “I’m talking about social media apps including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, YouTube and WhatsApp. And if you’re low on juice, this is your reminder that FaceTime and playing games can kill the battery much faster than you can reach a charger.” Watching videos and playing games are taxing on batteries, so keep this in mind if you’re trying to preserve power. Turn off push notifications for apps and close them strategically. “Make sure background apps aren’t performing power-intensive tasks ― e.g. Spotify downloading a new playlist, or Google Photos performing a backup,” Fisher advised. “Note that this doesn’t mean you should go on a swiping spree, closing out all your apps. That might feel good, but it causes more harm than good by interfering with your phone’s automatic background management. The preferred approach here is a precision strike, not carpet bombing.” Don’t skip app updates In addition to the above steps you can take in the moment to preserve battery, there are more general ways to promote longer battery life. “Don’t skip app updates,” Naziri advised. “If you’ve been putting updates off, this is your sign ― improving efficiency and battery management along the way. In fact, you should probably just turn on auto-update if you can.” Be mindful about charging It’s also important to keep overall battery health in mind when you are able to charge your phone. “Fast charging is convenient, but it reduces the overall longevity of your battery,” Fisher noted. “If your phone has a ‘smart charging’ or ‘healthy charging’ mode and you’re not in a rush (say, if you’re sleeping and charging overnight), use it. It will charge the battery slowly and prolong its life.” He also advised carrying an external battery pack, or asking a friend if you can use their phone to charge yours through the “power share” or “reverse wireless charging” features, if that’s an option. “I usually try to follow Apple’s guidelines on battery health,” Gill said. “For example, I try to minimize the amount of battery cycles that my devices go through.” Naziri said she generally avoids charging her phone to a full 100% when possible. “A lithium-ion battery doesn’t like to be fully charged or warm,” she explained. “The lithium-ion batteries in our phones last longest when we keep them charged between 30% and 80% throughout the day — not just topped up to 100%, then down to zero. Also, wireless charging is so convenient, but batteries prefer a slow and steady input. Consider using a standard charger when you can.” Go into dark mode Reducing screen brightness isn’t the only display adjustment you can make to help extend your battery life. “If your phone has an OLED screen (most modern high-end phones do), switching your software to dark mode can save battery, since dark pixels on an OLED panel take no power to illuminate,” Fisher said. “They’re just off.” Dark mode is available under Display & Brightness in iPhone settings and under Display in Android settings. While would you take drugs just so you can undergo marathon s*x when all the name of making a girl or guy cry or 'feel you' when it's not that you would be given any award for it. Cases of youths dieing after undergoing marathon intercourse is one of the recent news in Nigeria. Some dies on the spot while others enter into coma. Recently, a student of the OAU has been found dead after taking s*x drugs in a order to go many rounds with his girlfriend. The girl was said to have been found onto of the Guy already in a coma state with the guy underneath, a dead body, but another speculation is that the death might have been as a result of generator fumes. Here is the news in full: *Controversy has trailed the death of an undergraduate student of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, identified simply as Oromidayo, in his hostel room in Ibadan, Oyo State.* *Another student, a female, suspected to be his lover was said to be in a coma as doctors battled to revive her at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.* *There are, however, different versions of what led to the incident.* *While some students claimed that the duo were found naked with Oromidayo’s girlfriend lying on top of him in his hostel, others said they were unclad in the bathroom of the hostel.* *A student, who spoke on condition of anonymity, claimed that the two students were engaged in intense sex when Oromidayo died and his lover fainted.* *He said, “Both of them were found naked in the room. The girl was on top of Oromidayo, as his hands were around her waist; both of them were unconscious as blood was seen around Oromidayo’s head.* *“Some other persons said Oromidayo died because he used a sex enhancement drug before sleeping with the girl. It is only an autopsy that can reveal the cause of death or maybe when the girl that is in a coma in the UCH, Ibadan, regains consciousness.”* *The President, Student Union Government, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Abdulazeez Adedeji, confirmed the incident, adding that the academic community was suspecting the duo were killed by generator fumes.* *He said, “On Sunday, the two of them were together at the hostel when the incident happened. When I got to the hostel yesterday (Monday), I realised that the fumes emanating from the generator were coming directly into his (Oromidayo’s) room. Generator fumes are harmful to health and that is one reason. The second part is that he lost his parents two weeks ago; his brother died on Saturday and was buried that same day, and he died on Monday. So, the suspicion is that the shock could be responsible for what happened to him as people said maybe he drugged himself or thought to the extent that he could not control himself.* *“Both of them were found naked; we were to start exams yesterday if not for a protest; we found the book he was reading in his hostel. We gathered that they were found naked in the toilet of the hostel. His family has taken his corpse and the girl is on a life support machine at the UCH.”* *The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Sholadoye Adewole, described the incident as unfortunate.* *He said, “Because they were staying outside the school, nobody has any evidence of what actually transpired. It is the medical people who can explain the details of what happened to them.* *“We learnt that the family members of the boy have claimed his corpse. Asuu extends strike by 12 weeks *Salut fams,* I recently upload a post regarding the strike ASUU embarked upon because the federal government of Nigeria has failed to keep it's own part of the bargain. The duo was suppose to meet today and come to a compromise so that the strike can be called off and students can return to school. But in a new development, the federal government has once again proven itself to be lackadaisical and antagonist to the development and progress of the educational sector of Nigeria as it has refuse to adhere to the demands of the academic body which as made the body extend it ongoing strike by 12 months totaling 24months since the beginning of the first strike. Soworw tells Nigerian students what to do after extension A socio-political activist, Omoyele Sowore, on Monday asked Nigerian students to ‘teach the country’s leaders who are playing Russian roulette with their future, a big lesson’. A statement signed by ASUU president, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, said this was to give the federal government enough time to satisfactorily resolve all the outstanding issues. **It also stated that the roll-over strike was effective from 12.01 am, May 9, 2021.** ASUU said it took this decision after its National Executive Council (NUC) meeting which started on Sunday night at the Festus Iyayi National Secretariat, University of Abuja (UNIABUJA). Sowore, a presidential aspirant in the 2023 election on the platform of the African Action Congress (AAC), called for mass action until Nigerian universities are well-funded. “Nigerian youths/students must teach these inhuman political rulers playing Russian roulette with their future a big lesson. Let the organising start now. Shut down everything with mass action, stop everything until our higher institutions are well-funded. “They’re doing this because their kids don’t attend Nigerian universities!” Sowore wrote on his verified Twitter handle. Solar pocha: An outdoor station that connects WiFi and off-grid electricity *Hello fams,* I saw this update on VenturesAfrica and thought I'd be nice to share it Bolu Abiodun attended a federal university; his alma mater is in a remote town in one of Nigeria’s South-Western states, so he understands the numerous challenges students face in tertiary institutions. One of the challenges he faced as an undergraduate was the inconsistent power supply and internet connectivity. “To have an internet connection, you may have to stay in odd places and compete with birds in their arboreal abode. To power our gadgets after a stressful day at school, the over 17,000 student populace at the time was often vulnerable to nocturnal vices. There were several cases of battery, theft, and even sexual assaults,” Bolu explained. The situation was so bad, that students often protested. In one of such protests, two students of the institution died, and many others were injured as the protest clashed with the visit of a politician. Sadly, that did not change anything; erratic power supply and poor internet issues persist. These problems are not peculiar to Bolu’s alma mater; they are present in all Nigerian tertiary institutions, especially government-owned institutions. The reason is not far-fetched; Nigerian tertiary institutions have an ugly history of being heavily underfunded. Nigeria’s 98 public universities are chronically underfunded, and this often leads to strikes by lecturers. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is presently on strike to protest the government’s failure to meet its financial demands. The consequences of a lack of funds manifest in different ways, one of which is a lack of adequate and high-quality infrastructure. In 2017, the United Nations said about 65 per cent of public primary and junior secondary schools in Nigeria did not have electricity and consequently cannot guarantee technology-based education. Higher institutions are not any better. It’s 2022; still, universities depend on supply from the national grid for power, and in the space of twenty-five days, the national grid has collapsed three times. This jeopardises student learning, research, and institutional and administrative operations. A young innovator, Oluwatobiloba Oyinlola, recently nominated for the Royal Academy of Engineering Africa Prize solves these problems through his innovative Solar Pocha, an outdoor workstation and solar-powered space where students can connect to the internet and off-grid electricity. Oyinlola, a telecommunications graduate from Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), is popularly known among his peers as the Internet of Tobi, a moniker he still proudly bears today. With over a decade of experience in the IoT field, Oyinlola has built IoT devices for startups and freelanced on groundbreaking projects like Elon Musk’s Hyperloop project – one of his breakthroughs in the engineering field. The team he was part of, built the flight control and the battery management system for the Hyperloop, a high-speed transportation system that could have a speed range of 760mph, more than an aeroplane of 500mph. In 2019, the French government chose Oyinlola as an exceptional talent to join a program to create innovations that would solve everyday problems. The program, Hive at the camp, spanned a year with twenty outstanding innovators from all over the world in attendance. In one of the weekend explorations, a hackathon outside their main project, Solar Pocha was created in three days in line with a project for a smart city. In his second year as an undergraduate, Oyinlola had a series of bad experiences trying to charge his phone and connect to the internet. “I once lost my phone while charging at a business spot for N50. I looked away for a few seconds, and someone stole my phone,” he said. That memory of that experience prompted him to suggest the idea of a mobile autonomous workstation within the camp. He and five other collaborators from South Korea, India, and America built and designed the ‘Solar Pocha’ – a fusion of the word ‘Solar’ and Pocha, which in South Korea means a place where people sit together to do anything. To make it autonomous, the team needed a lot of AI devices, which wasn’t going to be an easy task since they had three days to build. “Imagine building in three days. It wouldn’t be perfect, but it would work,” Oyinlola stated. After completion, he thought about bringing the idea to Nigeria and making it a solution for schools, restaurants, parks, etcetera. But when he got to Nigeria later that year, he had no clue what materials to use or how to make the needed materials in the country. He started connecting with local suppliers and artisans like welders in Ibadan, where he grew up. For four to five months, he worked with them to create a prototype, after which he sought partners that would help him source and get essential materials like solar panels and inverters. Solar Pocha’s powerhouse Oyinlola was unsure if his alma mater, TASUED, would welcome his innovation, but he had alternative plans. “I still had to work on the IoT feature, booking management, and the dashboard, among other things. I wanted it to be fully ready, but If TASUED says they are not ready for it, I will reach out to neighbouring schools like Covenant University, LAUTECH, or the University of Ibadan. I planned to deploy it in whichever school was willing to collaborate,” Oyinlola said. Fortunately, when he finished the pilot model, TASUED welcomed it and had it deployed during the Coronavirus pandemic. The school was supportive. They provided Oyinlola with an API – where he could build the booking management system. Students book the workstation through the university portal and are assigned a seat for a maximum of two hours a day. “The Wi-Fi and the booking management systems are synchronized so that the time starts once the student logs in. The socket automatically comes on too. When the allotted time elapses, the socket and Wi-Fi shut down by default,” Oyinlola explained. Currently, there is only one workstation for over 23,000 students, hence the circumscribed time limits. Oyinlola hopes to scale and initiate his ideas for versions 2 and 3 of the outdoor workstation with more funding. According to him, the updated versions can be used by entrepreneurs and for public events. Event organisers can borrow the mobile workstation for a few days. “Foremost Nigerian newspaper outlet, the Vanguard, plans to have one deployed to them. This workstation differs from other hubs in that users do not need authorization. A unit can also be deployed in large shopping malls for people who have urgent meetings when shopping. There will be some form of IoT where the door only opens to you after a scan,” Oyinlola said. Funding remains a challenge for Oyinlola. He bootstrapped to build version 1 of the Solar Pocha and got materials from some supportive partners. Someone also gifted him a solar panel, and the school provided a conducive environment for him to build. However, he can only scale with more funding and grants. Initially, student sensitization was also a challenge. Since SolarPocha was deployed during the pandemic, when the students were off-campus, they resumed with little knowledge of what to do with the workstation. Some tampered with the socket in trying to figure out how it works. This prompted Oyinlola to create a video tutorial on how to use the station. Although the Solar Pocha is only operational in TASUED presently, Oyinlola has plans to expand to other tertiary institutions in Oyo State, Lagos, and Ogun state. He also has a client in the UK who is interested in deploying a unit for health-related purposes in Kenya. “We are flexible with location and with people interested in collaborating. We simply need to raise funds to be able to upgrade and deploy more stations, beginning with Nigeria,” Oyinlola explained. Oyinlola is grateful for his growth in the tech ecosystem and how he has kept the Nigerian flag flying on foreign shores. Dips in the Cryptoverse One of the advantage and also a disadvantage of cryptocurrency is the uncertainty and fluctuations of the prices of this coins. On one hand, the fluctuations can be profitable in that a upward movement of the candle stick means gain for the holder while a downward movement also called dips means a loss for the holder of such crypto. Where a novice and someone that doesn't understand how crypto currency works may start panicking and may even FOMO causing them to either sell off their asset or swap it for a stable coin to keep the value, an expert and a person that can exercise patient would take advantage of the DIP and buy more of the crypto as intervals or he may decide to hold till the value increases back to the original value or even supercedes it. What should you do when BCH price falls? Let me answer this question by narrating a scenerio I witness. One of my Crypto friends bought Ethereum late two years ago. Early last year when Ethereum price rose, he sold 50% his asset and kept the rest. Then Ethereum price fell below $3000, bought some, he also bought when the price fell further. He kept on buy whenever the price falls by $200. At the end of the day, he had bought about 4 to 5 times excluding the one he had there before. When Ethereum price gained momentum and rose above $4k, the had a massive gain between $1100-2400! He took advantage of the fall in price and kept amassing Eth for himself and when the crypto rise back, he had a huge cash out. That's what we should all do at this present time. This isn't the time to panick and sell of our BCH asset rather, we should take advantage of this period to get more BCH for ourselves. Buy at each level of dips, just keep bagging it. Adulthood; Accepting responsibilities *Howdy fams,* Happy new month everyone, I specially want to welcome everyone to this month of greatness. This month is going to be really extraordinary and joy filled in Jesus name. **Adulthood** The time of life when one is expected to take responsibility for one's own actions and well-being. Young Adults When I was a kid, I and my friends would be fantasizing and eager to become an adult. We would start saying things we would have achieved by a certain age (the least been 20 years). One of the things we envy the adult for was their freedom. They are free to do anything they wanted unlike we the little ones that are restricted by our parents, school and the society in general. In my stages of clocking 20, I can now see that that freedom comes with a lot of things; one of which is responsibility. The sole trademark of adulthood is the ability to accept responsibilities. I believe that irrespective of your age if you are not accepting your responsibilities then you are still a child. There are children of the age 17-20 that are already taking up their responsibility, I call them *Young Adults.* Many factors contribute to a teenager becoming a young adult. These may include; poverty, orphanage, being rejected by their family and lastly economic factors. When you attain the age of 23 - upwards, you start thinking of becoming financially stable, when to get married and so on. It is at this stage that youth that are impatient and short sighted indulge themselves in illegal activities such as internet frauds, armed robbery, prostitution, terrorism, kidnapping and other social vices. Actually, the age between 20-24 is a planning and envisioning stage. Though it's better if one has gotten this orientation at the early stages of his life like around 18-20 years. The planning involves what you want to do with your life, how you want to go about it, when you want to achieve it and who you want to achieve it with. Remember, he who fails to plan has already plan to fail. Having a vision is one of the best innovation a man can have. When you have a vision about what you want to become or achieve, it becomes even more easier to find your purpose and run with that purpose. People usually think that responsibility is been able to provide for one's family immediate needs. But in the actual fact, that is just a portion of the term responsibility! It cuts across achieving your goals, running with your visions and mission statement, have a sense of purpose in life, able to create wealth and most importantly, ability to become trusted by God. I said trusted by God not trusting God. We all at some point have trusted God for somethings. When you trust God, he will surely meet your needs and will not let you be put to Shame, but when God trusts you, you become his responsibility! Instead of co wrong your shame when you trust him, he makes you shame remover. There are so many people out there that would have made it early in life if they have diligently taken up their responsibility, but they procrastinate, they slumber, they relax and say 'I still have time' forgetting that time belongs only to those who plan and put it to action. Some even say 'time will change my situation' whereas time doesn't change anything. Time only reveals! Time is like a bank, it gives you only want you have given it. When you procrastinate,you are storing lack, shame and poverty in time and it will give you double in due time. Conclusion We should take up our responsibilities. It is not gender specific. It applies to both male and female. Though it is much more imperative for the Male cos they will be the head of a family and would have to provide for their family. This long-standing tradition in Denmark is customary if a man or woman turns 25 and is still single. Firstly, they get splashed with water and then they get covered from head to toe in cinnamon. It’s not a form of punishment but more just an excuse to be silly with friends and family and is a tradition that dates back hundreds of years. Fair Advice: if you are 25 and not yet married, stay off the Denmark coast😁 4. Polterabend in Germany Polterabend, meaning ‘wedding shower’, is a unique tradition in Germany that is generally held the day before a bride and groom are due to wed. It’s a big party where friends and family gather at the front of the house and smash things on the floor such as; plates, flowerpots, tiles, anything that makes a lot of noise in order to bring good luck, the only exceptions being glass and mirrors, of course. Once the dish breaking is done the bride and groom then work together to clean it up as preparation for the future. Finger cutting of the Dani tribe Everyone grieves differently after the loss of a loved one but the women of the Dani tribe in Indonesia have quite a unique and severe way of dealing with grief. When they lose a loved one the top joint of a woman’s finger will be amputated. String will be tightly tied around the finger until it goes numb and then a family member, often a sibling or parent will cut off the top of the finger. The wound is then burnt to stop the bleeding and prevent infection. The process is carried out to symbolise the pain suffered after the loss of a loved one and to keep the deceased person’s spirit away. A bizzare tradition I personally think should be erased 6. Baby tossing in India 😱 You may want to sit down for this one. In India, they have a ritual that involves throwing newborn babies off the side of temples. If you got married at the 50-foot-high Sri Santeswar temple in India, it’s a tradition to return with your baby and throw them from the top onto a cloth that is held by both Muslims and Hindus below. These are some of the strangest traditions but although they may seem absurd to some, they are a way of life for others and natives believe that they have very good reasons for their actions. 😢 **Famadihana - Dancing with the dead** A funeral tradition followed by the Malagasy tribe in Madagascar, people literally dance with dead bodies as part of the Famadihana custom. After bringing bodies of ancestors from their burial place, they re-wrap them in fresh cloth and dance around the tomb to live music. The ritual is followed once in seven years, but has been in the decline of late. 8. Don't ask for salt when at a host's place in Egypt Looks like Egyptians get offended easily. So, if you are invited over for dinner and want to add more salt to your dish, dare not touch the saltshaker because Egyptians feel it is equivalent to insulting the host. Principles part 2 Hello friends, I was not able to write the second part of the series I started a day before yesterday because I have been really busy trying to prepare for some family ceremony. As soon as I got a free time for myself I decided to write the second part of the topic I started. Last time, I stopped at number 25. Today I will try to finish it up. Setting principles for yourself **Turn your passion into a huge success**. Turn your passion into a multi-million dollar business. Better yet, make it a multi-billion dollar one. **Learn from criticism.** Be open to criticism but don’t be affected by it. Criticism is meant to help you be a better person. Learn from it. **Be positive**. Is the glass half empty or half full? How about neither? It’s actually all-full – the bottom half is water, the top half is air. It’s all a matter of perception. Take on empowering perceptions, not those that bind you. If you can see the positive sides of every thing, you’ll be able to live a much richer life than others. Purge unnecessary negativity from your life. **Don’t badmouth other people**. If there’s anything you don’t like about someone, say it to him/her in the face – otherwise, don’t say it at all. It’s not nice to do that. **Be empathetic**. If everyone only see life from his/her own perspective, we’ll forever be close-minded and insular. See things from others’ shoes. **Be a compassionate person**. Show compassion and kindness to everyone around you **Develop 100% self-belief**. Believe in yourself and your abilities. Remove your limiting beliefs and replace them with empowering ones (In Days 26-27 of Be a Better Me in 30 Days Program, you identify your limiting beliefs and replace them with empowering ones). If you don’t believe in yourself, how can you expect others to believe in you? **Let go of unhappy past**. This means past grievances, heartbreaks, sadness, disappointments, etc. **Forgive those** who may have done you wrong in the past. “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and realize it was you.” – Lewis B. Smedes **Let go of attachments**. Don’t fixate yourself with a certain status, fame, wealth or material possessions. These are impermanent and will ultimately disappear one day when you die. Focus on growing and living life to the fullest instead. **Let go of relationships that do not serve you**. That means negative people, dishonest people,people who don’t respect you, people are overly critical and relationships that prevent you from growing. **Spend more time with people who enable you**. Hang out with people who you compatible with, like-minded people, people who are positive, successful, strong achievers and positive for your growth. You are after all the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. **Build genuine, authentic connections** with people around you – strangers, friends, family, colleagues, business partners, customers/clients, etc. Spend more time to know them better and foster stronger connections. **Connect with an old friend**. There is no end to the number of friends you can have. Reach out to people from the past **Do a kind deed a day**. What is something you can do today that will make the world a better place? Go and do it. **Help other people who are in need**. Voluntarism is one outlet. You can also start with your friends and family. **Help people when they least expect it, without reason**. You don’t need any reason to help others. Do it because you want to. Share the love with everyone. **Go dating** (if you’re single). **Fall in love** ♥ **Review your life.** Set a weekly review session to assess how you are doing for your goals and your life. Review your purpose once every 3-6 months too so you know you’re on the right path. **Overcome procrastination**. Procrastination is a huge waste of your time (and your life). Get rid of it once and for all. **30 minutes a day**. Set aside at least 30 minutes every day to work on a quadrant 2 goal that, when you achieve it, will bring about the biggest source of fulfillment and happiness in your life Get out there and **make new friends** – whether in your workplace, online, friends’ friends, social groups, etc. Read: 10 Tips To Make New Friends **Make deeper connections**. Beyond making new friends, aim to make deeper connections out of them. Read: How To Have More Best Friends in Life **Be your advisor (from the future)**. Imagine you’re the future you, 5 years later. How would you advise yourself? Write it down. Now, apply them. Check out Future Prediction Exercise article inPersonal Excellence Book (Volume 1), which teaches you to predict your future, then learn from it. **Write a letter to your future self**. Actually, write 3 letters – for yourself in 1, 3 and 5 years. The longer the letters, the better. Envision how you’ll be like in the future. Make each letter a minimum 2 pages long. Now, seal them and put them in a safe place. Set it in your calendar so you’ll know to open them when it’s time. This will inspire you to work your hardest and achieve your maximum results in the time period. **Declutter**. Start from your computer, then your table, your room, your bag/wallet, and your home. The more you throw the unwanted and old stuff away, the more room you’re creating for new things to enter. **Keep learning**. There is something to learn from everything you see, hear and experience. This includes your mistakes and past misshaps (if any). Learn to interpret each event objectively. Focus on what you can learn from it so you can apply them moving forward. **Keep developing yourself**. Equip yourself with a huge *breadth* of knowledge. Learn different skills, pick up different hobbies, study different fields. **Be the absolute best in what you do**. Go for the #1 position in what you do. If you want to spend your time doing something, you might as well be the best in it. Strive for the best – you don’t deserve anything lesser than that. And lastly, **Get mentors and/or coaches.** There’s no faster way to improve than to have someone work with you on your goals. Not only will they drive you to achieve more for yourself, they’ll also share with you important advice which you can use to create even more success for yourself. Many of my clients approach me to coach them and the net result: they achieve significantly more progress and results in their life than if they had worked alone. As we live our lives everyday, it is important that we set some principles for ourselves if not we would become subjected to people's opinions Rather than making decisions for ourselves. “Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the res*ult of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs (101 Most Inspiring Quotes of All Time)* Below are the first 25 ways of setting principles to ensure our success in life. **Discover your values**. Values are the essence of what makes you, you. Read article #11: Discover Your Values in Personal Excellence Book (Volume 1) on the importance of values, my values and how you can create your own. **Hold yourself to the highest conduct**. Every one of us have our own set of ethics, principles and moral codes. Live true to them every day. Also, live in full alignment with your purpose (#11), commandments (#13) and values (#14). **Design your ideal life**. What is your ideal life? Design it. First, assess your life at the moment via the life wheel. Then, ask yourself what it takes to live a 10/10 life (in all 10 areas – career, health, love, social, etc…). Set the mission statement for your life; one that will drive you to life your life to the fullest. **Live in alignment with your purpose**. The sinless man *Hello friends.* I have been away for quite sometimes now and this is due to the power supply problem in my area. Anyways, I am back and I guess that's all that matters now. Since the creation of the world or should I say since man has been know to walk upon the Earth, it has been widely acceptable that no man is righteous in himself. Righteous I say, not good. Of course, there might be some level of humanity (what people generally termed being good), there is no doubt that there is no complete saint or righteous person even though some may claim they are. I say this because there actually not a man that has not committed a sin or done something that is bad in the sight of most people (most people which means majority of the society). So, the good man is without sin! In our society, a man is termed righteous if his righteous acts surpass that of his bad deeds. But then, it is not so before the great Elohim as he judges everyone equal before him. Since there is no partiality before, hence, sin is sin. Whether committed by a clergy or by a pagan. No wonder he said in his holy book that 'if a righteous man stops being righteous and commits sin, all his righteousness shall be forgotten and only his evil deeds shall be remembered' - Ezekiel 18. Again, the consciousness of the law (whether spiritual or civil), always generates sin. For where there is no law, there is no sin or should I say "where there is no sin, there is no law". The truth is sin is always present, by the introduction of law reveals sin. Hence, the power of sin is the law! The law empowers sin to manifest itself. The knowledge of sin in itself generates fear and death in man. But since the Almighty is all-knowing, he has made a way of escape for man for he knows no man can overcome sin by himself, so he made provision for atonement of sin. We must have all heard of the story of Adam, the first man, who sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Since he is the progenitor of all human race, all his seeds fell leading to an asunder in the relationship between man and God. Man now has to come to the creator through sacrifices and offerings by the slaughtering of Rams and bulls and birds. But all these can never atone for the sin of man. A sin committed by man who has a soul, will and intention can never be permanently removed by the blood of a souless animal. After all the animal in itself is in sin as all creation as fallen due to Adam's sin. If a man commits a taboo, his properties which includes his animate and inanimate possessions are counted as faulty as well. So also is it with Adam. The animals been sacrificed are in themselves sinful and groaning under the weight of the human sins. So what's next? Who would deliver man? Coming back to the creator, since he is all-knowing and has seen the end from the very beginning, he has prepared a suitable sacrifice that would suffice for the remission of sin. He had prepared a sheep without blemish and without sin. A sacrifice perfect for man! Truth is this sheep has actually being slain from the very beginning in the Spirit realm as sin is spiritual in a sense of origination. But this must be translated to the physical. So, Jehovah sent his word in flesh through a pure maiden to take the place of all men in death and to bring back to life. The sinlessness of christ Jesus came in flesh but is not begotten of man For all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory for God. But Jesus, though birthed by a human was conceived of the holy spirit. I know most of us would be having wild imagination as to whether the holy spirit impregnated Mary in the sense intercourse. But far from it, it was all an act of creation, the very same way the holy spirit was moving on the surface of the deep and called to being what was not. So Jesus was simply translated into the womb of Mary as he was already existing. The man Jesus He ate like man, cried like man, walked like man and did every other things like man. He was tempted as we all are, he could feel and felt pain, he was hungered, he slept, he is flesh in all form. But he was different from man, in that even while in flesh he defeated sin and was found sinless by the very accuser of the Brethen, the devil. He could have become the wealthiest, strongest, most popular person of his time, but he chose to died like a mere peasant not really because he loved it that way but because he was here to deliver man, the glory of God. The devil, seeing Jesus had overcome sin in himself, had come and tempt him and even offered him gold and fame all for a knee. And truth be told, that knee is more important and glorious than every other thing in the world at that time, because it would mean God, his word and all the inhabitants of heaven had bow in surrender and acknowledgement of the supremacy of the devil. It would have been a game over for man. But all thanks to God, Jesus overcame him. Golgotha, the place of victory The devil was cunny, he knew Jesus's coming to the earth was not for fun. The word of God would not just appear on the earth for no reason. He knew God must be planning something to release man from the grip of sin. So he plotted to kill Jesus, unknown to him that was the checkmate card for him. Fast forward, Jesus was killed, he descended to Hades preached to the lost souls, conquered Death and Hades, rose on the third day, and ascended to heaven. That is the victory of the Christians. Their victory does not lie in riches or amount of material wealth they can emasss for themselves, rather, it lies in the defeat of sin, Death and Hades through the blood of Jesus. The blood is full of power. It didn't destroy the devil because it is only previous and but because of it full of power in it totality. All praise to God, man is free. Another Sunday in BCH town *Even though it's been just a few days that I joined the wonderful community of the BCH town, I have started harvesting some rewards from my toils in the field owned by an anonymous philanthropist. Today is yet another Sunday to toil and put to work my poor writing skills, probably, the unseen angel called* @TheRandomRewarder *would appreciate and crown it with some BCH.* While passing through the aforementioned BCH town, I saw a beautiful write-up by @jane. She had intelligently compiled all her articles in the previous month and has made it a daily routine to do every month end. I thought to take it up and try it myself. So here I go, I pray that the wheel of this borrowed vehicle take me to my desired destination. Though the religion in Africa has been widely thought to be full of nothing but human sacrifices, it has been proved to be the opposite with some exciting examples given especially the ***MARE FESTIVAL.*** While still speaking of the religiosity of Africa, it is also important to note ways of investing in BCH and other projects with no regrets as many have invested their money, time and hope in unprofitable projects and have end up with heartbreaking regrets. Looking for a good crypto project to invest in Hello friends. I am not really a newbie in the world of Crytocurrency neither am I an expert. To some extent I can deduce that a project will be great or should say go to the moon and also know the one that is a scam. But with the little knowledge I have about the cryptoverse, I am really finding it difficult to find a project with good prospect and good yield that I can invest in. Although I have invested in some very nice Cryptos that are common like BCH, BNB and Near, I have also tried investing in some alt coins with most not producing the result I desired. For example; sometimes early last year I bought Air when it was around $0.72 and till today the price as increase by $0.09 and below. I will soon sell it off or swap it to a better coin. Due to the high probability of falling Into the hands of scammers, I don't really buy coins that are hyped (taking the squid coin for example). Though it can really save you from investing in scam project, yet it poses another risk of missing out on when the real deal is around. This reminded of when Wakanda coin was launched and several people were hyping and hailing it, I didn't buy then because I didn't want to follow a hyped coin,of course the reason been that I don want to invest in a scam project. The mistake I made then was that I didnt even bother researching on it. I wish I had done that, I would have really make some good profits for myself as the Wakanda coin really gave it holders good fortunes (well, that's for those that were wise to remove their profits immediately). After it price went high, I didn't bother buying again because I didn't want to FOMO, and it really paid off, because the price went down and is still hovering around that since then. So, right now I am really looking for coins to buy, maybe a long-term or short-term, or both, the major thing is to get good profits at the end. Ingredients of a strong relationship: Love/Likeness Howdy everyone. This is a Continuation of the topic I started some days ago. We have explored the importance of Time in relationship. There is a saying that 'Time is money' also 'Time is life, Time is love, Time is relationship's lifeline'. When you give someone your attention, you have given your him/her your time and directly given him a part of your life. Let me an illustration. Imagine relationship being a house. Where the pillars, roofing and paintings are of great importance, there is a part which is greatest importance; and that is the foundation. Take time as the pillar that sustain and upholds the relationship and ensures it longetivity, Love is the foundation upon which the relationship is built. For you to be friend with someone else, there must be either an intrinsic or extrinsic values that you see in that and cherish. There must be a thing that attracts you to someone you call your friend, you don't just become a friend to someone by mistake, even though both of you might meet by accident, but what made both of you come together to become friends is actually a value or similar characteristics you both saw in each other. Now, friendship made because of gains or benefit will never stand the test of time and is very sure to have a disastrous ending. But friendship built on genuine love and mutual likeness is sure to last till eternity except if in a sense, the love is lost. Now, how do you say you love your friend or spouse when you can't sacrifice anything for the sake of your friendship? Yes, there is should be no entitlements, but does that means you can't sacrifice a thing for your friend? In fact the real meaning of been in relationship with another person is been able to give or sacrifice something for the course of that friendship. If this is ruled out, then they are as everyother persons to you. An example from the Bible Jesus was teaching his disciples one day, and he made a parable about friendship and sacrifice. He said 'there was a day a fellow when to mean his friend at the late hours of the night (let's say around 1am). He knocked at the door and the friend answered from within asking who it was. The fellow immediately answered that he is the one and that he has come to ask for a favour from his friend because a relative of his just arrived at the house and he has nothing to give him. Even though it is in the middle of the night and the friend's family is already asleep, yet he will rise up and attend to his friend' not really because of the urgency (this is my own perspective, although urgency can play a major role also) but because he is a Friend! Jesus even said in the gospel according to John that he laid his life for his friends! And what was the result, his friends too learnt how to lay and sacrifice anything for each other (I speak to about genuine Christians). So also, when you sacrifice a thing for the sake of your friendship, you have only inaudibly teach your friend to do the same. But then, we can't overrule the fact that some people are just insensitive and irreciprocative to this gestures, there is where the 'NO ENTITLEMENTS' card can be played. Ingredients of a strong relationship: Time *Time is the greatest gift you can give another person. After all everything else fades away, breaks, wears out; but those memories and times you spent together will live on forever.* All around the world, people come together to form bonds with one another. They lay aside their differences, cultures, traditions, color and age and come together to appreciate one another. Even though it is speculated that racism and color superiority is widely practiced, yet friendship bonds and even marriages are been established between people from different race and continent. But apart from creating bonds and relationships, there are some things that are needed to keep the relationship alive and strong. I will talk on the first one tonight and subsequently take the others in the coming series. The husband was furious and was demanding for the dissolution of the marriage immediately. The woman on the other hand was quiet and sober. When the lawyer asked what the basis of the divorce was, the man said the woman was caught having an extra marital affairs with a neighbor. On hearing this the judge faced the woman and asked her why she did what she did. With tears in her eyes and pain in her voice she responded saying 'I was alone!'. Now, I don't support immorality and adultery or cheating in any relationship, but we will be deceiving ourselves if we don't attend to issues regarding spending time with or loved one. As much as money and other material things are important in a relationship, it value can never be compared to that of the attention and time we give to our loved ones. Since relationship is a matter of the heart, it can only be sustained and strengthened by investing time into it. **Note:** ***Anybody you give your attention to, you have given that person a portion of your time and invariably a portion of your life!*** **Since living is dependent on the time we have spent on this Earth, hence if I give you my time, I have given a portion of my life that I cannot recover. The only thing you can dovo appreciate it (not to return it) will be to reciprocate the same.** In relationship, there 4 major pillars supporting and determining the longetivity. The first being love or likeness as the case maybe. It the most important, Followed by time. When God created man in the garden of Eden, God didn't live them and command man to do the seeking alone. No! Rather, he created friendship with the man by regularly visiting him in the garden. In fact it in the course of visiting and interacting with him that he got to know that the man was feeling lonely despise him (being God) was there! So also it is with us. If God had to interact and spent time with man to discover his pain, don't you think it is expedient that we do same for each other. Back to the case shared above, the woman had actually being feeling lonely and needy for a long time, by the husband wasn't aware. He didn't know her pain, didn't have time to share in her joy and sadness, couldn't provide the basis of companionship which is communication. Then the result was him indirectly pushing the woman out into sin. The neighbor may have been giving the woman some needed attentions and all other things thereby, creating space for the devil to penetrate. Hence, my candid advise for all the singles out there is; if you won't create time for your wife and family, don't bother to tie the knot. You may have all the other necessary materials to make your family comfortable, if you won't create time for your family, you are not yet ready. Go and learn the act of creating Time for your family. Many marriages are in turmoil, in war and full of sins and quarrels because the spouses lack the act of spending time and giving attention to their loved ones. Many children today get involved in illegal acts because of the lack of supervision from their parents. Some parents are even so audacious that they leave the training and discipline of their wards to the hands of nannys and teachers. The result is unpleasant behaviors and thinking the children. I guess you only get as much as you give. Hence, if you are not ready to receive baad attitudes or disappointment from your children, give them your time. Time to make friends I once read from an article written by @Danika where he was talking about friendship that, the best way if making good friends is being a good friend yourself. Some people say they are not being checked upon, or that their friends don't care for them, or that their friends are selfish and self centered. In most cases, if one should have a good knowledge of these people, they themselves don't know how to create time and attention for their friends and as I have said you only receive as much as you give. For those that love staying indoors, try move out of your closet sometimes, meet people, make friends and when you find those friendship invaluable, give it your time and attention. Sweet sweet secret *I know you might might be thinking I am going to write some secret acts I have indulge in. Well you maybe right or not, let's find out.* To begin with, let me define what a secret is; a thing not known or seen or not meant to be known or seen by others. In statement: "how did you guess I'd got a secret plan?" Similar: *confidential, strictly confidential, top secret, classified, restricted, unrevealed, etc.* Source: Cambridge dictionary According to that definition, anything that you find to have value (either good or bad) and you what want to keep from the public's knowledge is secret. You know not all secrets are pleasant ones especially those involving dirty acts such as murders, s3xual abuses, sicknesses, molestation and fraud. But there are some things that must be kept secret. Yeah, and I termed them **'SWEET SECRETS'** You see, we live in a world full of malice, double standards and hypocrisy hence, it is not so surprising that we hear of brothers killing each other over material things or of friends outrightly betraying each other. I have seen a scenerio where a mother killed her own daughter for going out with a man she likes. Well this and many more incident are clearly teaching a new set of strategy to navigate through this age. I said this age because we are not in the dispensation of our fathers and forefathers. We are the new and dispensation! There are something you can tell three or five person you want to do in the olden days and you will see the whole community standing up to help you actualise that dream, try it in this presence age and you will find yourself to be blamed. Only through the help of God can a man truly carryout his Enterprise in this age. Speaking of God, let's see what God thinks about secrets. God and secret The book of Genesis explained to us how God created the heavens and the earth and yet we only know of a bit of the creation not the detail cos he also attested in job to the fact that there more secret to creation. Also the Bible declares clearly that God keeps some things secret; Deuteronomy 29:29 (KJV) **29** The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. **Proverb 25:2** It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. **Revelation 10:4** When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken and do not write them.” Source: https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/Secret-Things There are so many other Bible passages but I'd stop here. The point here is there are certain things God himself has seemed it fit to keep them in secret. During the creation of man, imagine if God has made the brain to be exposed or the gonads placed on top of the palm. Imagine if all the secrets of the foundation of the world was made manifest by God, just imagine it. Now note: Those things with the greatest values or worthy of honor are kept in secret. The knowledge of the world powers are kept in top classified files. They dare not reveal it. When an inventor is about inventing a thing, he may make know the plan but never the procedure until maybe after the project as being completed. Now to everyone Please and please, do not go about tell the world or people about your plans or your dreams. Think, plan and achieve them first before spreading the word. In fact, at the very first stage of pregnancy, it is not known even to the woman but is revealed to the world after it can no longer be concealed. There is an amazing Bible verse I'd like to share: **Proverbs 14: 23-24** 23] In all labour there is profit: but **the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury**. [24] The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly. When you talk and talk with no action, you are only giving out your ideas, dreams, and goals for free! Learn to keep importance secret. Not everyone needs to know you are rich, infact your charisma will show it. No one needs to know about the process show them the result. Some secret are worthy of keeping but that doesn't mean you will keep something can liberate a generation from them or keep quite about an illness or sickness, No! Instead the secret you should keep are things that are confidential to you, when you still in the process and your personal matters. There is this guy in my class. He is a very well do person an can afford whatever he needs, but you'd never see him show it off or act like it. Then there is another that just because he could buy a thing or two not that he is rich or anything, he would brag and brag and rub it on the class face. Funny thing is most, I said MOST, rich people don't really show off, but it the poor man that wants to prove a point and make his presence known... Let me rest my pen for now.
