Influencers and their leadings

Let's take a look at this scenario:

Mr John is a skit maker that has 3million followers on Twitter. Almost all his followers are his die-hard fans, they move to any direction he goes, whatever he does pleases his fans.

Whosever Mr John hates, his fans hate as well and whosoever he loves, his fans show the same magnitude of love.

During 2019 election, Mr John got endorsed by a famous political party and he delivered greatly because of his large followers and his fans love.

Now, an election is coming again and he's been endorsed by an opposite political party this time around and his fans are still with him, showing support to the political party that Mr John currently belongs to.

This is a typical example of what's happening in our countries these days, a lot of people showing support to things that are good and things that are bad because their lovely role models or influencers are into the system.

I know you have your favorite influencers like footballers, skit makers, comedians, musicians etc, DO YOU SUPPORT ANYTHING THEY DO? Yeah, examine yourself and and answer yourself sincerely. Are you canvasing for a political party because your favorite celebrity is there?

The presidential general election is taking place next year and a lot has been happening in terms of campaign and top celebrities canvasing for the people they want while some are as well being bought wtuh money just to help in winning the hearts of the masses.

I'm not going to talk bad against any political parties because I see all their efforts as political strategies

But let's know some truth...

Some months ago, we heard about a political party going around to purchase the minds of top Nollywood actors, they succeded in buying a majority of them while some turned down their offers.

Now, some of the celebrities they succeded in buying began to campaign for them and I saw how their fans adopted the candidate because of what the celebrity said about the candidate via the video they released on the social media handles, although some of their followers countered their decision but a majority of them where influenced and captured to take the candidate as their candidate. That's the power of influenced.

But how the masses easily fall for this process never seize to amaze me. Or is there something I don't know?

I'm not a political person so I don't give too much to it, but if I'm a fan of a celebrity and he does wrong and still stayed on his ground, I don't follow him with his ways but I call a spade a spade.

Just like what I said in a contest I did on Hive about role models, I asked a question; " what if you finds out that your role model has been making all his money with rituals (babies for money rituals), would you still follow him/her?"

Most of us are blinded by the influence of these people,

• We shouldn't start killing because our role models are killing,

• We shouldn't start hating because our favorite celebrity hates someone.

• We shouldn't endorse a political aspirants because our favorite celebrity has trust in them, go for candidate that you're sure of. It could be that your favorite celebrity was bought with money...

Sometimes I wonder if these people are using vodoo to control the minds of their followers, it's surprising how people are seeing bad and still going for it because their role model or influencers are leading the way...funny enough, it's not like these followers will be paid money.

I decided not to mention names of these influencers leading people astray.
