Happy weekend read.cash😊 Kumusta? Ok pa ba? Hope you do😊
21 days left and everyone will be celebrating christmas. Is everyone done picking and eyeing gifts for our loved ones? Co'z me? I am almost done adding a cart for my niece's, nephew, kuya, ate, mama and my many godchildren gifts. Also, I've done participating #ThePerfectGiftChallenge2012, if you are curious , see the glimpse of my Christmas gifts. Here I am joining another challenge initiated by yours truly @gertu13 "Hey! You, this is the promised christmas contest" for more details about the rules don't be shy to pinch me 😉.
Everyone loves Christmas, especially kids. Here in the Philippines when ber months start, specifically September, there are some houses already doing their decoration by putting some lanterns, led lights and christmas. It doesn't end with that because prior to that month carolling also started. Imagine, that's how Filipinos love and are excited for Christmas.
Schools also start requiring students to bring lanterns and build Christmas and have Christmas themes in the classroom. Of course, Christmas couldn't be missed , especially exchanging gifts. When I was in grade I vividly remember that our gifts must be in the food category and the price should be more than $1. Some are wise because they will include the wrapper price hahaha. In high school, the category changes into things that are more than $3 depending on the majority decision. I received horrible gifts, hope you don't😊.
In spite of how enjoyable the school Christmas is, nothing compares to Christmas with our family no matter how small the preparation. Let me tell you a secret, since I was a kid I never saw nor remember that our house had some Christmas decor as in nothing. No lights. no lantern and even no christmas. Why? I don't know either. Maybe Mama and Papa are not fond of decorating but mind you even that plain and null christmas theme our christmas is the best.
Papa is the chief in the house and every christmas he will cook some vivand while Mama starts to bring out their coins that will be poured in the children 's christmas party in our yard. They will prepared prices for every game with so much effort on it. Before 12 o'clock we must be intact and complete as a family as Papa's believe and do the jumping to gain some heights😂. From the wonderful Christmas I witnessed and experienced throughout the years it suddenly changed when we lost family members. There is still happiness but like not before.
It was before the pandemic started, probably in December 2019. We are tasked by our art professor to have photography in accordance with the theme with the theme all about Christmas. Did you experience that, when the teacher said make a group with at least 3 members but then you will ask the teacher if it would be okay if you are in 4 in the group friendship goals😂 (para hindi maghiwalay). He is okay with it. Our group goes to the "Christmas Mansion". Almost midnight when we decide to go co'z I need to travel three rides to get home. Next day, we resumed the task in a different location. You know, those nights are my only night out because my Mama is very strict in terms of going out. So, I hit two birds with one stone.
When our area is not that high risk, the restriction is still there but not totally strike. Last December, it was near our community that the Coca-cola Corporation always displays Christmas decorations in front of the company and it becomes tourist spots every December.
