God is Good All the Time
Prayer is truly the most powerful weapon. And I am so grateful for your prayers, guys. It means so much to us. You guys did help us a lot, especially for including my grandmother in your prayers. May God bless you all and give you good health always.
Last night, we received very good news about our grandma. Our aunt called and told us that our grandma had finally woken from the coma, but she was still unable to speak because her tongue was still unable to move and it was stuck, but she could finally move her arms slowly, which is very good news for us. We know she is going to get better soon and come back home as soon as possible because we already missed her so much, especially Grandpa, who keeps on waiting for her return.
When my aunt called, she let all of us take our turn to speak to our grandmother. Even though she couldn’t speak clearly, she still did her very best to say a word. We couldn’t help but tear up when we finally heard her voice, even though it was just a "hmm". We were so happy that our grandma was getting better. When it was our grandpa's turn to talk to our grandma by phone, all of us cried when we heard how much our grandfather worried and how much he missed her so much. We can clearly see through his words and his reactions when he heard our grandma speak.
Seeing our grandfather crying made us cry too. During their phone call, my grandpa said to our grandma that the chickens and chicks missed her so much because our grandma was the one who always fed the chickens and chicks, but now that she’s at the hospital, it's grandpa who feeds the chickens. Our dogs Slogo and Max missed her too, because our Lola was always the one who fed them both, and right now it’s my cousin who feeds the dogs.
We all told her everything that was happening in the house when she wasn't yet around. We also told her who did the household chores, and each one of us, her grandchildren, did our part in the house. My cousin, who always wakes up and eats very late, and every time our lola told him to eat, he always refused and ended up skipping a meal. So, when it was his time to talk, he said that he would sleep early and wake up early too. He will now listen to our lola whenever he is called, and he will eat on time when it’s time to eat. That is why lola should come home already.
We all laughed when we heard our grandma giggle a little when our cousin told her those words. Our cousin was a lola’s boy. He grew up along with our grandparents. When our grandpa said that she must be back home as soon as possible and that she needs to take a good rest so that she will get healed and be back to her strong self, she answered "oo," which means yes.
And just this night, our aunt called again with more good news. She said that our lola finally gets to eat "sopas" soup. She was not able to eat for a day when they arrived at the hospital because her tongue couldn’t move, and right now she’s able to eat a little. We can now clearly hear and understand what she says because her tongue can slowly move again, but she still couldn’t speak straight. She could only say some words per sentence.
It is so nice that she’s starting to get better now, and we hope that she can come back home because we really missed her so much especially grandpa.
We still continued raying for our grandma’s fast recovery, and I hope you will still include her in your prayers. God Bless you every one.
Prayer always works!
This is truly emotional. It does affect me for I can still remember our lolo who passed. Fighting lola! Your family is missing you a lot and the chickens too lol! May you be able to go home soon.
