#3 Random Questions For Discussion
A college degree is essential for getting a good job
No. Having a college degree does not always guarantee to get a good job. Though having a college degree is a huge advantage to job seekers because it is an edge among applicants. Of course, when applying for a job, the employees are looking for the fittest candidate for a position. They will pick the individual with the most colorful resume.
A college degree is essential but not always the case. It always boils down to the employees' checklists. If I were the employee, I would also look for their job commitment and attitude towards work. Of course, it is not about just education we should also look at the personality and characteristics of the person.
Education should focus on maths and science rather than music and art.
This topic is so fitting for me! My answer is no. You see, I always have frustration about my college degree. I did not pick my course but rather my parents. I got a bachelor of Science in business administration MAJOR in Finance. They believe that I will land a good job. I do not like math, really. It is not my forte. Though, I realized that finance is not all about math. It is about managing your money. I kind of liked it halfway through my college days. Now, I appreciate it more because I can relate to finance topic. Though still hate the topic of money, lol.
Back to the topic of music and art. Perhaps they just do not see the value because living in the third world country, it is not easy to find jobs. The Philippines is a developing country and so, math and science-related jobs are easier to find. The bottom line is education should treat every subject equally.
Abortion should be available to all women
Yes., definitely. There are cases that a woman should undergo an abortion because of some reason. It might be about her health, psychological matter, or the baby's health. I do not condemn abortion, but there are exemptions.
A woman has a right to her body. We should not take abortion as exclusively bad. Yes, there is a life involved but she should also see how the situation is affected the two sides.
Aborting without a valid, humane reason is a big no. You did it, and when you did not like the outcome, you just threw it away. Take responsibility for your actions.
Gay people should be allowed to adopt children.
YES!
Just a short story, when I was in college, we went to an orphanage in one of the wealthiest cities in the Philippines. You see, the kids were very lucky because many people are donating and showing up in the orphanage. They were taken care of well because it manifested in their physical appearance.
It is heartbreaking to see kids thrown away at these facilities. There are couples that really wanted to have kids but can't and so they opted for adoption, instead. No matter the gender preference, people should be allowed to adopt children. Of course, it comes with a background check and all.
In terms of family roles, gender is not an issue these days. A straight man can fill the mother's role, or two gay people can be a mom and a dad to the children. We are moving forward with gender stereotypes and that is such a tremendous leap for understanding acceptance of genders.
That is it for this blog. I will see you at the next one!
Opinions are welcome as well in the comments! :)

I strongly disagree about education focusing on maths and science only rather than music and art. Music and art have a lot to offer in an extraordinary ways and not everyone loves math and science. Whenever we don't like something, people would likely not succeed even though we can learn to love it. There's still a great difference when we pursue what we love.
