Good day guys. How are you doing today? How's your weekend going? I hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Let's have a recap of your yesterday's article. Yesterday I wrote that we do not need to have just a good self esteem but a healthy one. Having a healthy self-esteem is one of the keys to a prosperous and peaceful life. If you are able to look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you're awesome and you really believe what you said about yourself, then you've just taken a very big step in taking control of your life. It is very important that you have a good and the right perspective of yourself. You must at all times think of yourself in the right way. Have a good and positive confession about yourself regardless of the situation. This is the way you'll be able to have a healthy life and as well, you'll not be disturbed by wrong opinions of others about you. You should learn how to love yourself unconditionally regardless of people's opinions and accept yourself for who you are first and then make some improvements where necessary. What others think of you is not much of your business. The best thing to do is just do the best that you can do in this life and leave the rest to God.

You don't have to feel ashamed of yourself. You're the best version of yourself, God could have created. You're special and great. These are the kind of perspective of yourself you need to have of yourself. You must always think of yourself the right way. Also, you should have a good and positive confession about yourself. This is the way you can have a healthy life and not be disturbed by wrong opinions of others about you.

You should be proud of yourself regardless of how you feel you look like. You must love yourself just the way you are. You should believe that you're a beautiful woman or a handsome man. You should have a thought process that affirms that you're wise and intelligent. One funny thing is that there are many people that admire you. Life is a gift to you, and your life is full of wonders, love, success and happiness. This should be your mind and belief concerning yourself.

Let's move to today's article.

Stubbornness to correction from leaders and mentors leads to loss of favour, rejection, regrets, pain. We should be humble enough to learn and correct ourselves from any wrongs that we're being corrected from.

We don't always have to accept correction and advice right away. But we should take time, be open-minded, reflect on why we're being corrected and the impact it'll have on us and those around us.

It's hard to learn if you have an attitude to correction. I once had a friend that insisted that he was right about a particular subject despite the many errors I pointed out, and showed him concrete facts proved otherwise. This went on for weeks until he could not longer deny what he was wrong about. Stubbornness to correction from leaders and mentors leads to loss of favour, rejection and regrets. We should learn from our mistakes and be humble enough to correct ourselves from any wrongs that we're being corrected from. It's an attribute of maturity.

In our quest to become better persons and leaders, we should seek immediate correction from our leaders and mentors when we get it wrong or make a mistake. We should make it a habit to self-correct because growth begins with self-correction followed by determination, cooperation and dedication.

When you're corrected by others, it shows that you're not perfect and there are many ways to do things better. Many successful people admitted that the reason why they made it was because some other people helped them to realise their mistakes and to correct themselves. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have mentors or leaders who will inspire them to change or to correct themselves. It's easy to be stubborn, but as the wise saying goes "It's harder than it looks", that is what makes it precious.

If you're stubborn and being corrected by others, don't immediately reject their corrections nor ignore them.

This is timely and still relevant because of how much information we read in social media. We should be wise in what information we want to believe. We have to check and see if it is correct. Lots of fake news. So if you are corrected, know your facts so you can compare.

Imagine a good growth of humans without correction, this is completely impossible. Just like the schooling stage, he that skips correction or fails to adhere to correction, failure is doom

Sometimes I get stubborn too but I've learnt to always rethink everything. I might even go as far as reaching out to the person correcting me to help me navigate what they might be trying to say
