Nothing is small when helping

This article is also a continuation of my previous article taken by fire.
House taken by fire is a sad incident and people involved or a victim of such incident needs help. Commonly, a fire victim is not able to save something from their house except their selves. This means that everything they have was burnt in just a few minutes and turn into ashes.
There is a fire incident in a neighboring barangay that taken someone's house. It was a sad news and our heart felt pity towards them and find ways how to help.
There were people who are willing to help through giving something that they have.
Through the help of social media, we were able to contact a person that will lead us to the family.
We talk about the time and place where to meet and finally we reached the place where the fire incident happened.
Upon reaching there, the ashes of the burnt house were so visible for us. It is sad to see it in the picture and to know about it but it is more sad seeing it in person.
The GI sheets were being bend because of the heat of the fire. The plastic drum used for storing water was almost eaten up by fire. Only the ashes of their things were there and nothing remains. The flowers, the fruits, the trees around their house were also affected by fire and everything almost died. It was a windy day that day.
We asked tatay (we commonly addressed to a person who is now old) what is the possible reason of fire? He said that it might be because of the remaining fire in the firewood since they are using firewood for cooking.
There is a relative who has his birthday that day and they decided to have his birthday celebration in the nearest resort. They cooked some food early morning using firewood and leave their house for a swimming.
Tatay, expected his relative to pick him up going to the resort but his relative didn't show. So, he decided to drive his topdown (a motorcycle with a carrier and it has 3 wheels) going to the said place.
They did enjoy the celebration but Tatay didn't bring any clothes because he decided not to swim. When they went home in the afternoon, the smoke from the burnt fire are waving at them. They were so shocked, speechless and just cry seeing their house turned into ashes.
We felt so sad as Tatay narrates it to us but he said there is one thing that was not burnt. We ask what is it? He said the OR CR (Official receipt and Certificate of Registration) of his motorcycle was safe. It was in the middle of many papers and fortunately it wasn't burnt. He thank God for it because still there is his motorcycle where he can use to fetch some water for the family. They were thankful too because nothing died.
Before we left, we gave to Tatay the pre loved clothes, utensils, rice and some groceries from different people who extend their help even in small things. As we handed it to Tatay, the other group also gave their help.
Tatay were so thankful for those things. He said it was a very big help for them. He wish to have some GI sheets and other materials to be used in making new house for his family.
Ending thoughts
Indeed, nothing is small when giving. Yes, when we are the giver, we always thought that what we gave is just a small thing. But to the receiver, those small things that we gave matters most to them and they considered it as a very big help for them.
So, when someone needs help, please give a helping hand. Please give even you think it is small. You never knew how it turns to big when they reach in their hands.
Giving will make us happy, but will make the receiver more happier. Giving will make us a blessing to others and will make us blessed too. Giving is your nature. Giving is your purpose. Giving is a way of thanking God for all the blessings He had showered upon us.
