Panagway: Its Story, Mystery & Characters

As I have mentioned in my previous article, Gifter already had a screenplay for this song before. In fact, they have already started shooting for the music video of it and opted to record the song too but the band's rhythm guitarist, Delmar passed away on the day of the recording itself.

A slight background of his sorrowful past in the band

It was such shocking news for everyone. A very untimely one. On that day, in the morning, Gifter received a handful of missed calls on his phone. That concerned him a lot. When he opened the text message, there he found out that their band mate passed away due to a heart attack.

It broke his heart into pieces. He also found out that one of the casts of the music video got pregnant. All of these unfortunate circumstances happened and stopped them for the music video shoot to push through.

That is why I can see how meticulous, specific, and careful Gifter was to make things possible this time around. We are both so thankful to God for us recovering from our individual agonies and for giving us another chance to remake the video.

It was like everything was arranged for us. We just had to be patient and understanding of why things don't happen according to our plans. Mysteriously, it went well when we shoot the video.

March 2022

Gifter and I tried so hard to come up with a new screenplay. Not totally a new one. The idea is still the same as what he had designed before but there will be some changes in how situations will go because we are short of people.

We couldn't afford to bring more people for this project because everyone we know has their own lives now with work and families. They are no longer available. The good thing was, that Gifter taught kids for a church band. He asked the kids if they were willing to act and said that they were fine doing it.

Finally, we were able to come up with this:

Meet the good-looking casts of Panagway's MV

Joross

Joross plays the role of Josef. The story revolves around him contemplating what real beauty is for him. He is bound to choose the right girl for him. He's a handsome, kind, religious, and humorous guy who likes music and is also active in the church.

Sandara

Sandara plays the role of Rosybel. She's a sweet, religious, demure friend of Joross. She and Joross share common interests in attending church events.

Nicole

Nicole plays the role of Veronica. She's a liberated, musically-inclined friend of Joross who likes to hang out with him for music.

Aira

Aira plays the role of Zhira. Zhira was the original cast for this role but came out unresponsive and unwilling (?) days before the shoot so we had to look for someone to replace her. Aira is a simple, kind-hearted, and thoughtful friend of Joross.

Little Fairy

The little fairy plays a huge role in the story. She will be the one to help Joross decide which one is for him.

This photo lists the crucial plot scenes of the video. We worked so hard to arrange the events accordingly to portray a clear yet mysterious effect of the play. You will soon find out why when we release the video. Stay tuned!

The Lyrics and its Timestamps

I will only show you a sneak peek of its lyrics since it is still confidential as of this moment but you'll get to know the full song later when it's out.

As you can see, each stanza owns a specific numbered scenario based on the crucial plot scene I have listed above. It also shows how long a scenario lasts based on the track to perfectly convey what message the song gives you.

We ran through the song and took note of the important details as it gives more emphasis to how the song is written. The instrumentals and how the song builds up surely added flavor to the storytelling.

So I guess that's all I can share for this article. I know it still puzzles you how the video goes but at least I have given you an overview of what to expect from it.

Gifter is currently enhancing the audio track and he said that the video looks amazing. It came out natural but elegant. I'm excited to share it with you guys! I will keep you guys posted!
