Being consistent is truly a difficult thing to achieve because we tend to be overwhelmed by the thought of the outcome rather than focusing on the difficult process. The excitement when expecting something better is often a distraction as we tend to be out of focus. In my entire stay in this blogging world, I guess the only thing that I am consistent at is posting an article a day here on read.cash. And that's the only consistency I can keep, at least for now.
Adding another platform to my plate makes me more excited as there are a lot of things there to be learned and earned, opportunities that shouldn't be wasted. It keeps me even more productive like a juggling busy bee each day.
It was three months ago when I started joining Hive Power Up Day as the benefits of participating are as overwhelming as the opportunities we could get on the chain. It's not just the rewards that I am after when participating in this challenge, but the account growth I can get when powering up.
Aside from Power Up Day, I was determined to join the Hive Power Up Month for some beneficial factors. It was the same month when I attempted to complete the HPUM challenge by posting an article each day with 100% power up as a mode of payout. At the end of June, I was happy that I made 30 posts and I thought I was in for this challenge. When I learned about the calendar (shown below) and checked mine, I found out that I failed to complete the challenge as there were days that it said that I powered down even if I didn't.
How did it happen? I never know as the question was left unanswered. I became more careful the next month as I really wanted to challenge myself to complete powering up the whole month. That time, I opted to power up each day as I can not post an article a day anymore. Quality over quantity, that's what I set. Unfortunately, due to busyness, I missed one day, thus failing to complete this challenge again.
I have never been consistent on Hive compared to readcash, and this is the only thing I want to achieve. With my determination to achieve this challenge, I set an alarm at 10:15 in the evening before sleeping so I wouldn't forget about it.
I was glad to see my progress and my account was growing consistently in the past 17 days of August.
I thought I could make it this month until this morning when I realized that I have forgotten something last night. As I checked the calendar, my mood turned down upon seeing a blank spot on the 18th. Thus, failing to complete this challenge again!
What happened to my alarm? I remembered I turned it off when it buzz and read articles as I opted to do it later. Unfortunately, it has been forgotten.
I've been saving Hive for this matter and even sold some HBD to buy Hive for powering up, but just ended up failing again. This month isn't for me, so better luck next month. I would definitely make sure to do it quickly once my reminder buzzed.
Why does it seem too tough to be consistent in this matter and other else? Probably because I was more focused and excited about the outcome and I let distractions hamper my journey toward achieving it.
Again, better self-discipline needs to be imposed to achieve something better! I really hope I could make this challenge complete next month.
What about you, have you been inconsistent too?
