Don't be an Idiom!
Nowadays it’s common to see best-friends having a crush on one another but preferring to keep quiet about it. Most suffer in silence and when you ask how they feel about the other, ***they beat around the bush.*** Different reasons do lead to the silence of most ladies or guys in love with their “besties” as they do call it. Some are afraid of what the other might say, some are afraid of rejection, some believe it’s better they remain friend, for being friends guarantee forever more than dating nowadays. Most people ***run around in circles***. Meet a new girl today, walk up to her, next thing they are friends. The intention he has at first can no longer be expressed because he is already in a special zone called the “brother zone”. This is a zone that spells no romantic relationship whatsoever. To avoid things like this I think going with your ***hook, line and sinker*** from inception is the best option. Let her know what you’re here for before you become another “brother” to her. Telling her at **the 11th hour** when she's with someone else will only lead to heartbreak for you, and also destroy the relationship you've built with her. Maybe remaining silent is a better option. The strategy most guys who end up in the “brother zone” do plan on using is to be friends with a lady at first, then move on to the next stage. This boomerang most times. You need to know when to ***draw the line***. Do not waste too much time getting to know her, make your moves from the beginning. Let her have an idea of what your intentions are. It might not be with words. Your actions and countenance will tell. The type of compliments you throw her way matters, the lines you use. “I think I’ve seen you before” is an old line you shouldn’t use right? ***learn to play by the ear***, this same word can be used in other ways to get her to speak to you. Though cliche, I bet it with you it works like magic when you say it to the girl with a smile and a grin indicating that it’s false, you’re just seeking her attention. She will surely get the scope. Pick up lines from movies might work for some, for others it doesn't. Another cogent point is your confidence. Even if the lady makes you ***lose your marble*** or she looks like someone that’s got ***bigger fish to fry*** do not feel perturbed. Start with your dressing, the way you dress when visiting your crush should be different. This is not a go ahead for you to go out of your way to get what you don’t have. Take the bold step of ***biting the bullet***, worry less about what her reply will be. If you bother on that too much you will end up being ***at sea*** and ***a tight corne***r when you finally walk up to her. However, this isn’t just for the guys alone. I believe we are no longer in a time when the guy must be the one showing interest. Ladies now know how to play their cards right. They ***right off the bat*** when they see someone they like. As said earlier, it might not be with words, with their actions you will know. The downside to this is that guys tend to take this as another ***ace up their sleeves*** for future emotional blackmail if the relationship. In conclusion, I believe knowing what you want and going for it shouldn’t be a problem. And if you get turned down, it’s either you try again or respectfully leave. The ***ball is in your court***. If you are doing the former, don’t let it be an obsession or threat. Learn to accept "No" as "No". When you realize you are overstepping your boundaries, you should quit. And then, you saying it's not a relationship advice is making me wonder 🙄 I have taken it as an advice already 🚶♀️ It's always best to let the other know you're interested in them even if not by words like you've said, actions speaks loudly than voice. As the shy type I am, I don't think I can ever say words of interest to a guy I'm crushing on but if he would take note of my actions, I'm saying a lot of things. This is like you're talking directly to me, the only thing missing is that I was not tagged in the message but the greatest fear of losing your bestie keeps me away from any romantic relationship, I don't want to be heart broken, not to talk more by her so I keep things this way not because I am not smart enough to make the moves but because I don't want her to ever become a stranger to me again 😭

Boss you're a great writer, I'm impressed! All the idioms you used are all connected and flows well with the article. As for the main point, I think relationship doesn't have a fixed guideline or under manual. Some people ply the route of friendship when they are interested in a lady and it worked well for them, while some other persons just go straight to the point and let the lady know their intention. I guess it all depends on the person you're dealing with
