Greed, Scam and reasons
Seeing a lot of activities going on in the world of crypto, I realized it takes just a single step to go from a thousand to Zero. Greed is often a major cause of problems in society. This is because people never stop until they get what they have always wanted at any cost. But most times they fail to realize that greed can get to them.
In society today, people are interested in making money more than anything else. People are ready to make deals with the “devil” if it can give them more wealth. They would even go as far as getting into crime just to get a few dollars. It has led many to go into what they ought not to. I see a lot of people pushing some things recently, just because of their personal gain. So many projects going around with shades of scam yet people hype them for reasons best known to them.
It’s painful to be on the sideline watching things happen without being able to interfere. Accusations can’t be made based on speculation. One needs concrete evidence to do such. The best thing one can do is to warn the public, but these scammers have a way of making you the bad person. Thinking about it yesterday I concluded that the victims most times got duped due to their own greed too. People ignore the red flags, some even help them in promoting it, then play the victim when things go bad. Greed is a very nasty problem. It has led people into going to extreme lengths. Think about how many times you have heard of people becoming robbers, killers and all sorts of evil acts. Greed is the reason why. They were just after money and fame. If only they knew when to stop, things would have worked out so easily for them.
Greed can also make you lose an important relationship with a good friend or even a family member. Sometimes, instead of enjoying the wealth you have, it makes you push yourself to acquire more and go further.
The only way to stop greed is to know when to stop because contentment might be a myth.
Greed has cost some people everything that they own. Greed has made some people break the law and sell their souls to the devil. Greed has made some people go against their own will and in the process, lose their way.
It comes in different ways and forms:
It is getting into things that it ought not to, it is when a person values money above anything else.
It is when a man ignores the advice of his pastor or those who have gone before him and in his quest to get rich ends up only getting poor.
It is when a person will do anything to get a job not minding the conditions attached.
It is a sickness that needs to be cured and healed before it destroys everything that you possess including your soul and your peace of mind.
It is not being happy until you lose everything that you have worked hard to achieve.
It kills dreams, hope and motivation.
There is no crime in wanting more, but when the desire to get more is so big that it hurts other people or other aspects of our lives then it's dangerous. Greed most of the time will have you chasing money, power and fame. You could get lost along the way and do more than you ought to. People don’t know until they are knee-deep into it.
-Emotional unfulfillment. Your job could be satisfying, but if you are keeping up some image or dream of what your financial future should look like, then you're likely living with some level of personal dissatisfaction. This is a breeding ground for envy which can create some pretty terrible consequences.
-Lack of Compassion. Empathy is contagious. When we're generous people find out and want to be generous back, they want to be around people who care about others. The opposite is true as well and greedy people tend to push others away and become very untrusting people and they won't care if they hurt someone else on their way up.
Thanks for Reading! 🤗💚🤗
Going back to school today to do some work. I won’t be able to engage much but once my plane lands (lol) I will do the needful. Thanks once again.
With the damage greed can cause, being content is much more peaceful and satisfying and healthy.
