A,B,C of having a project on SmartBCH

The constant battle between the Dev and community is something I find funny and avoidable. It's been a constant trend on different projects. The dev needs time but the community don't have time. To create something valuable and worthwhile takes a lot of time and expertise. This is something everyone knows but when the public's money is on the line, they don't care. All they want is a result.

The dev then either succumb to pressure by hastening to release a not so perfect work or endure the constant complaints and work in silence. It isn’t easy staying silent and working, humans can be so annoying and infuriating. They call you a scammer, ask for a refund, call you names and spread FOMO around about your project. It's easy for things like this to get to you and in anger, you take actions that might have a bad result in the long run.

If you're going into SmartBCH with a project of yours, here are a few tips that might be helpful

1. Be sure of the usecase

Don't just bring out a whitepaper with promises because you want to sell out your Token or NFT quickly. How feasible is it? Is it possible for you to offer all that you promise and still make a profit?. Everyone dev or investor's purpose is to make a profit.

Don't just write a whitepaper that will implicate you in the long run. To sell, so many people write unattainable things, they copy one or two whitepapers to form one for themselves, but when it is time to execute it, a problem arises.

2.Have an expenses plan

You have to spend money. Though the goal is to make proa fit, you need to know that you can make money by spending money. Employ people to work with you and know what to allocate to different sectors

Let’s say you were able to gather 200BCH from a pre-sale or minting, the next question is how many are you willing to part with to provide liquidity for the token or the native token on the staking platform?. Apart from providing liquidity, know fully well that, some people are in the project just for the sake of making a quick profit. Sometimes they are the whales with the highest holdings, a decision to sell all that they have when the market is rising will surely have a negative effect on your project. You need to have some things planned to solve that when it happens, or have an incentive on the ground that will prevent paper hands.

3. Employ experts

You can't do everything on your own. You need to have people working with you. Employ the service of a good web designer, a good marketer, a good moderator and many more. Trying to fit all shoes alone will only lead to you overworking yourself and frustration set in. You easily get triggered by criticism and you flaw up one day when you can’t have any more of the bullshit.

Due to the Time Zone, you can't be available at all times to answer questions from the community. This can be solved by making reputable members of the community moderators on the channel. Someone you know commands respect and is well known for his love for bitcoincash can be used as a moderator. Another thing you can do is, pick someone vocal in the group. Someone always asking questions, always answering questions, always hyping the project. Make such a person a moderator. It's killing two birds with a stone. Your biggest critic is now part of your team, he no longer creates FOMO, instead, he is spreading the gospel of your project even when you're not there.

Pick as many as possible with the different time zone. Believe me, it helps a lot.

4. Communicate with the community always

I said earlier that the Dev needs time but Time is a luxury the community don't have. How then do you keep them in check while you work on providing a good platform for them?. Communication is the answer. They want to feel important, they want to know that their opinions matter, they want to know that they are relevant to the success of the project. The only way you can buy time for yourself is by giving them all the aforementioned desires of the community.

Give them constant updates on the progress of your work. Joke with them and constantly hype the project. Organise giveaway contests and appreciate those supporting the project.

This might look easy but should be done by someone good at relating with others. Whosoever is in charge of the marketing team can handle this. He/she needs to be patient. Extra patient!. He must know how to answer questions without being rude or Sarcastic. Truly, he will be frustrated. Some people will join the group just for the sake of creating fear and discouraging others, you need to handle these people with care and wisdom. Don't let their behaviour get to you. Even when angry, try to be mindful of the things you say to such people and if you've warned them for long, you should kick them out before they infect others in the group.

Before kicking someone out, make sure it's for a good reason known to everyone in the community. Warn the person publicly over and over before taking such action. If you kick people who challenge you or ask questions on the group without any tangible reason, people will start doubting your credibility. They feel you go defensive just because of a few questions and that's suspicious. Another thing you mustn't do is lock the group for no reason. Maybe people are asking questions about the project and you feel the questions are too much, you can answer the important ones. Pin a FAQS on the group and promise to answer the rest later. Don't make the mistake of locking the group, it causes chaos and doubts.

5. Less talk more action

Constant communication will only buy you a little extra time. But gains trust is "action". Try to implement the things you promise on time, you don't need to rush it but work as fast as possible. Give the community what you promised and see how excited they will be.

To end this, the usecase is what will propagate the progress of your project. Hype might cause a quick sale but only a logical and reasonable usecase will guarantee a long time sale.

Truly, communication is important, and also the use case is the first thing that either attracts or chase investors. And when they do come because of the potential of the project, try to carry them along and keep reassuring and assuring them

Having a project on SmartBch required a lot of time and patience just as you have said, in other to make the best out of the best. The 4th part of the tips matters a lot to make people/investors trust you and believe in the project coz that is what will bring more awareness to the project
