Lochi's Birth wiped her Tears..

"May your union be fruitful and may long life and property be with your new family. My children, as you are united in love today, may this love keep growing and in peace shall your family grow, you will bear children, you shall give birth to a boy and you shall give birth to a girl in this your marriage. My children, peace be unto you. You can stand up now and take your wife my son", says Ada's father.

Ada is the only child of her parents and she is getting married to an engineer who is so successful in his career. They met each other in a business trip and fell in love and today, they are getting married.

Soon enough, the marriage is over and Ada and her husband went home to live happily. There parents were waiting for the news of Ada's pregnancy this waiting was much on Ada's mother after just one year of their marriage. Ada soon became pregnant and her husband was happy with new news, he was there for his wife and taking good care of her until he got a construction work in a far place. He ha to go for the work and since his wife Ada is just three months pregnant, he can leave and come back soon.

He travelled and Ada was alone in The house, doing all the chores and cooking. After two weeks, she started feeling pain on her stomach gradually. She didn't take it serious and thought it just a normal pain that it will go away. She Continued doing her chores and taking care of the house. One day the pain increased and she had to call on the neighbors to help her, when the neighbors arrived, she was already bleeding and was taken to the hospital. Her husband was summoned by the doctor and they were told about the unfortunate miscarriage. Ada felt bad, she couldn't believe it. After a year of expecting a child, she lost her baby to miscarriage. Her husband consoled her and tried all he could do to make her happy.

What has happened has happened and at last, Ada was fine and back to being herself.

After some months ago, she took in again and was careful not to lose her unborn child again to miscarriage. She stopped doing some of the house chores and got her aunt to stay with her. She had much time doing exercise to keep fit for herself and stay strong.

After some months again, she was working out and felt similar pain she felt long as again. Without wasting time, she rushed to the hospital and it was so unfortunate that the doctor said she has another miscarriage. This time around, she was heartbroken. Her husband couldn't believe the story. Ada's parents thought that there is more to that happenings. Even Ada's friend told her that someone must have bewitched her. After all suspicions, the finger was pointed towards Ada's old mother in-law. She was accused of knowing what is happening to Ada and her husband. She was labelled a witch because she lives closer to Ada. Ada's old mother in-law denied the accusations and that was another case to settle.

It brought a problem between both in-laws that lasted till Ada became pregnant again. This time around, her husband did not want her to do any form of exercise at all, except taking a work and cooking once every month. Ada and her husband prayer and made promises to God for a safe delivery. Soon again, her husband was out for work leaving his wife and her house help. They wanted no family member to stay around them because they do not trust anyone again. There were three house helps from far places outside their home. They were well paid to care for Ada. This time around, happens to be her third pregnancy. Ada tried all she could to maintain her pregnancy. She was seen praying all the time. She wakes up every night to pray and in the day, she goes to a nearby prayer house to say some prayers.

After some months of doing all these, she felt sick one day and that was another miscarriage for her. This was unbearable and unbelievable for the family. The news of this particular miscarriage rained all over the town and city. This time around, people pointed at her for being the witch and causing her miscarriages but her husband loves her so much and refused to hear all gossip. Ada's husband was advised by his friends to divorce her, even his own brothers were against his wife and persuaded him to marry another wife. Ada's husband was faithful to his wife and believed in their exchanged vow before God in the holy altar ". He loved his wife more and debunked all negative advices and ideas from his friends and relations. He believed in God that through his wish, he will see his children and that was his faith.

Ada's husband took her away from the village and they rented an apartment in the city. After some months again. Ada became pregnant for the fourth time. This time, her husband refused to leave her for any work. He rejected every contract that was coming for him and chose to stay with his wife. He sits by his wife every seconds and provided all she needed. He employed another house help that helped them in cooking food.

Ada's husband invited a doctor to come check his wife everyday. It was this doctor that revealed Ada's problem and provided a solution for them. According to the doctor, he said that; Ada has a very weak womb. Weak wombs are prone to miscarriages and the only treatment for that is to remove the womb surgically. He further said that he was surprised as she has been able to get pregnant. He then told Ada not to stress herself or do any chores if she would want to see her baby"

Ada's husband was worried over what could cause her weak womb. He was married her a virgin and so, it was impossible that she might had abortions. The doctor gave them hope of having a child and instructed them on what to do.

Ada was not allowed to do anything by her husband at all. He was there all through to help her take her bath and even wear her clothes. The doctor keep coming everyday till it was time for her to give birth. On that day, the doctor already knew and came with some nurses. The nurses went inside the house while the doctor called Ada's husband out for some discussion. The next thing they heard was a baby cry. Ada has given birth to a baby boy. Tears of joy fell in her husband's eyes as the house was filled with the natural and sweet scent of a baby boy.

The child was named Lochi, which means for "Trust in God" in their dialect.
