Children of the Poor..
The family is a great tool of unity, everyone comes from one. As we know that from the parents starting a family, we were born and raised by care and love. Some family has a number of three, that is the father, mother and child. Some has more than three with up to twelve or more children. Here in Africa, it is common to see a family that has six children, seven and eight. I have seen them and they live around my city. Some family has just two children and many have just one child. The size of any family doesn't really matter if there is abundance of resources to take care of them but it always and will forever matter if there is less resources to take care of the family.
Most poor family in my village and even in my town has higher number of family while the richer families have less children. There are still rich families with higher number of children though. For the poor ones, it is always difficult for their parents to see through all there education from nursery to the university level. Some of their kids stopped school after primary, while some stopped at after secondary school. None of these kids stopped school out of will, it was because their parents has no enough money to further their education.
I remember those days one of my favorite friend in school told me that she would love to advance to the university level after our secondary school but she will not be able to because her father said he will not afford paying her huge university fees. She was told that she has younger ones that are yet to be in their secondary school level, that it not easy paying for all their fees and still feed them all together.
That day, she called me out to tell me this and I was heartbroken. I couldn't do anything to help her situation even after we had jokingly discussed our courses of study in the university. I was speechless and was later feeling so bad about her story, imagining if she was me. Now, after all the hope of some children being a medical doctor, studying engineering and thinking about their future academically, there hopes are shattered because their parents wants them to stop school and learn a skill. The skill in question could be sewing, making decorations, hairstylist and saloon. Some who are lucky enough get sponsored in business.
Since my secondary school graduation till today, this friend of mine hasn't been in a classroom not to talk of reading for examination. She has to stop so that her younger siblings will have their own taste of education and still drop out at same level for the same reason.

The beautiful thing I observed some time ago is that; all this children from a poor background has taste for education mire than those of the rich families. With this instance of my friend, I have also been in the same school where two boys from the same family just refused to resume school. They are from a very rich family. The reason behind them I do not know but I have heard they said that school is not their destiny and I was like wow! you had all the money and in one of the best school in town. That was the last time I saw them in a classroom, if they later changed their mind, I do not know.
Some kids who their parents have no enough money to keep sponsoring their school sometimes travels afar to learn trading under a master. They serve from years to years and some being settled while some are not being settled after all their years of service. There is a story of a boy I heard long as, his own was worse because his master took his life. He was given to his master alive, fresh and young looking but was brought back by his same master in corpses. The story says that it was time for the young boy to go, time for his settlement after reaching their agreement. His master was envy of him and prolonged his departure. The boys family couldn't do anything to fight for his right and freedom because they were poor and just keep hoping that one day, his master will settle him. Sources Said that this young boy was maltreated and has been suffering so much from his master's abuse. His death was as a result of pain and brokenheart So unlucky for him and his family. Regrets calls after things like that happens. There is a common story of similar things happening in Africa.
Till today in some places around the world, some kids are seen in the streets, wandering around in school hours. If they are asked why they are not in school, the most likely answer would be that they are not in school because they didn't pay their fees. Even children that doesn't know what classroom looks like will still have same reason to give.
Closing thought
All this happening, what is the benefit of parents loosing their children in another man's hand because they believe he will take care of them. Why would some poor parents give birth to so many children and can't afford their education and at certain age, they are sent to stay with other people who turns them as house boys and girls. Bringing children to the world and depriving of them their natural happiness as freedom with human rights. I don't know what to say but I believe that things will get better for every family that lacks much. Some of these children who were sent back home by their masters with false accusations turns to be something else out if frustration. Some become scammers and some finds every means to get rich and say no to poverty.
Finally, I believe that the story line will be changed and we are to start this change. If anyone has enough, he or she could help those who are in need. Most times, the government only remember them during their campaigns, which after they give less concern and focus on their own business. The change lies in the hands of all bachelors and spinsters, future parents have their role to play. Children are the future, what we give them they will reflect.

I also notice sis that the rich family have less children as they are busy with their life while the poor one have a huge family members that end up having a head time thinking on what to eat
