Filthy lifestyles just for fame. Among the things I have always wished for, fame isn't one of them. It might sound dumb to people who enjoy being famous but I somehow do not like getting too much public attention, it makes me feel uncomfortable because I am shy and hate being stressed. Fame comes with stress for me, it comes with trying to keep up with lots of things and people, and it sometimes even reshapes your lifestyle to things you are not used to. I didn't just dislike being famous as an adult even though it makes you enjoy some privileges, it started even as a child.
I remembered during a church children's anniversary, I was among the backup choirs in the children's church then and we were to sing at the main church auditorium. I was good with songs but can't face the crowd so I usually sing from behind the girls in the front, that day the girls ran out of songs and I picked it up. The pastor knew it was a boy's voice and picked me out, he told me to always attend the adult choir practice. It was a huge stress for me, I hate being noticed. Secondary school days too weren't what I wished for, I was appointed the assistant head prefect at school. I wish I wasn't appointed, the stress was something else; it's not like I don't like new challenges but when it is attached to fame, it becomes something else for me. I don't know why I am like that and it baffles me to see people go to crazy lengths just because they want to get famous. The video of a lady went viral recently, she claimed to have coupled with a dog for some money that looks too huge for her. She dared to share such claims online, she was so confident to the extent that she said it was a dog she coupled with, and she didn't kill anyone. It means her sin wasn't as big as murdering so people should stop saying shit about her.
It got me wondering how filthy the world has become, people no longer have shame or respect for themselves anymore. A few days later she came back online with tears saying that her boyfriend broke up with her, she confessed that she didn't do what she claimed and she was only trying to get the world's attention. Yes, she got the attention, her Tiktok followers boomed immediately. I can confidently say that many of those who followed her did that to get an update on what was going to happen to her after her claims but she was thinking otherwise. Her life is now in complete jeopardy because the police have taken up the case, why would someone cook so much lie about herself for fame? It doesn't end with her, I have seen ladies throw themselves naked on social platforms just to get attention. After the fame what next? A lady once said that people get an endorsement from being famous and I asked if she can allow someone who walks naked online to be the face of her brand? How many times have you seen a pornstar used as the face of a reputable organization?
People embrace fake and expensive life just for fame, I remembered someone exposing a celebrity that the things he/she uses in her/his videos are borrowed and it includes the money she/he displays. All these things are just for fame, it involves all gender because a lot of guys are into this rubbish as well. It depends on the kind of fame you want but one thing that I know is that fame will come to you easily when you are successful. Isn't the likes of Pantera, Jane, PVM, Olasquare, and many others famous on the platform? Their success earned them fame, Roger ver, Marc and many others are famous for their good deed so why wouldn't people do what's right if they are desperate for fame.
Jeopardizing one's future for the sake of fame can be a very terrible mistake because the dent will remain a stigma forever, it is easier to say that people will forget her story sooner or later but they have forgotten that the Internet never forgets. At the biggest stage of her life, she will be shocked to know that her past would resurrect. Fame is not a necessity for life, going extreme for it is a mistake.

Oh yes, I see all these on social media every single day and the dog story was disgusting.. I could just vomit.. how could someone do this and not feel bad about it or mere lying about it just for a few minute fame?? not worth it
She really messed up and it could affect her future because she is now been seen as a nonentity, imagine someone recognising her at a job interview. What do you think they will do to her?
People do a lot of things because of fame, and many are willing do do dirty things regardless of what it may cause to their reputation. Social media has begun to allow us to see bad as good and good as not so good.. In the end, the world is going to an end- that's what I can say.
I would say this generation is taking social media for granted, it is powerful tool we can use to achieve great things but they prefer the wrong thing and they are proud of it.
I really don't know why people pick fame over living a quiet life. I'd rather have peace than people all up in my business because I'm popular.
It is just not my thing, I hate been dragged around all in the name of being famous. It doesn't suit my lifestyle.
Omo, I saw the news but I just skipped past it, cause its no use to me, some people don't think twice before making a bad decision that might ruin their lives forever. All because they believe that life is all about risk.
She didn't take risk, she only destroyed her future.
She saw it as risk sha.
It is true that fame comes with stress. You have a lot of people who would be looking for you to be attended to. Also, the internet is the most accurate memory recall. It does not forget at all.
Whenever Facebook notifies me of old pictures, I do smile. It tells how powerful the internet is when it comes to keeping memories, the sad truth is that even her next generation can still the videos.
Being famous was not easy, it is better to become famous when it comes to talent or skills like achieving an award. But not with doing filthy things and inappropriate actions just to gain likes and views. Fame is some kind of reward because of the achievement of excellence in a certain craft. It comes on its own, even if we didn't want it. But to stay simple and unnoticed also gives us peace and less stress just like what you said.
There is so much peace in staying away from the spotlight, I know what it feels like even at a lower fame level.
Well said, as for me I also doesn't dream of being fame, I don't want people to even notice me, I prefer to live peacefully without anyone knows about me, I mean it's good to be seen but when it's too much people would do everything to get in to your personal life and I don't want that.
Fame can get so bad that it would deprive you of privacy because the world would be eager to know what you are doing behind closed doors.
Ahhhhhh,,, I hate it actually how my fellow women uploaded videos at tiktok or any social media platforms wearing almost NOTHING! Yet sad to say, users like that are sometimes got many followers
This is really deep, you've hammered so well on this... People go to extremes just to attain fame, all for what? "Likes... followers?" Sighs, I feel so very sad for them. That girl is definitely reaping what she sowed. And oh yes, you're right, once a person Is successful, fame would be an aftermath, so it's better to work on one's success than to do stupid things just to become famous.
Things we get forcefully don't last long and the same thing can be applied to fame.
Shame on her. Karma hit her back. That should give her a lesson. Some only wanted to stay under the radar, while some wants to get the attention of the world .. I rather not be popular. It would give me peace of mind.
Fame takes away peace, it requires you to do lots of things that could serve as an inconvenience.
I thought I was the only one that have this line of thoughts, I also don't want to be famous because it tends to breach on your privacy. But the problem with this is that there's a certain type of money you will have and you will suddenly become famous and I don't mean been famous worldwide buy in your locality. That alone will start drawing unnecessary attention to you. Well, unless you don't want to be stinky rich, there's no avoiding it 😆
Whatever that will make me ruin my personality or reputation for fame, I will never do it. Fame for how long? The fame will be gone but my reputation would forever be smashed to the ground. So, I prefer to stay on my lane, enjoy my life in a simple way with God by my side.
