Bridging the gap between the rich and the poor
There is so much misconception between the rich and the poor. The poor believe that the rich made their wealth out of luck, and the rich think the poor are poor because they are lazy. If only the poor knew the price they paid to get to the top they won't think the way they do. and if only the rich knew the battles and challenges the poor are going through to survive there will be no misconception between the two.
The truth is, no one makes it to the top without paying a price. The rich may have started out with more advantages, but they worked hard for what they had. And the poor may not have as much, but they're not lazy - they're fighting every day to survive.
People say the poor don't deserve to have everything they want. But they need to know that for every challenge life threw at them, they had to answer a call to keep ongoing. Sometimes they have to sacrifice for the benefit of others. They need to feel empathy for the struggles of others instead of being filled with resentment. Poor people have to deal with discrimination every day and for that, they deserve a big round of applause. Many times they have been abused and judged without realizing they were mistreated because of their economic status. And when we judge others we forget our place in the world.
If the poor can't appreciate the rich's achievements, they should mind their own business; if being wealthy were simple, there would be no poor people! that's right. And if the wealthy are unwilling to assist the poor, they should at least not extinguish the spirit of a striving individual. It is immoral to assume that the poor will not end up at the top or, that they are unworthy of admiration. If the world is anything like me, it loves getting to know the bad along with the good, and if we continue to hurt one another without even trying we'll continue to see an unbroken cycle of discrimination.
There is no room for discrimination. To say that only the rich deserve love is to say that the poor don't deserve it either. And if someone is truly devoid of self-worth, they cannot possibly feel as if they deserve someone else's love, so they cannot care about their feelings or achievements. So, when poor person is commended for what they do, what they say, or the dreams they hold, they should be lauded for it. They earned it. If someone decides to be more like the rich, then they need to understand that they are no better than anyone else.
When there is more wealth, there will be more poverty. There will always be someone who is not at the top. And it is by helping the poor that we will truly help ourselves. It's time to break down this barrier between the rich and the poor. We need to come together and bridge the gap. And the only way to do that is by working together. So let's all put in the effort and make a difference.
Despite differences in social class, the impoverished and wealthy are all part of the same human race. Let's stop judging others because of their economic status. And work together to solve any issues we have. We each need to get off our self-absorbed pity party. We need to work together to help each other instead of tearing each other down.
There is no hierarchy of human decency, and to paint all poor people with one brush is just as bad as painting all wealthy people with one brush. And if you must remain judgmental and critical of the poor, take a step back and ask yourself - do I think I'm better than they are? Would I like to be in their situation? Could I stand on the other side of the divide?
One thing's for sure - the world will remain a harsh, unforgiving, and unbearable place until we see ourselves as one. I certainly don't, so let's start being kind to one another, even if we're not part of the same tribe. Let's be better. Let's be kind.
And if you're a wealthy person reading this, please, stop assuming the poor are unworthy of your admiration. We are human too. They can't possibly think you're better than they are. Let's get off our high horse and get to work, together. At the end of the day, we all come from the same place, the same realm. They are just like us. So, let's set aside our differences and show each other the compassion we never received. The only way to end the cycle of discrimination is to take a stand and speak out for each other.
But if we're not talking to one another, if we're being terrible to each other, why will anything change? We need to stop being afraid of a broken system, and let's start talking to one another. Let's stop isolating and enabling. We have so much in common, and if we don't work together, then we'll never be truly happy or free.
Alot of things cause poverty. We just have to stop being judgmental cause it might be nursing the wrong concepts.
Everyone should work and help if they can, the poor should work harder and pray more.
