This is a story of how I spend almost a day in the hospital without any of my family knowing

This event took place in February 2019, at that time I just finished my Induced training in January back then, so I decided to spend my little holiday to the fullest before the resumption of school. I stay at my parent place and I was enjoying the company of my siblings, I'm a kind of guy that leave the house without notifying anyone or telling anyone of my location, my mom is always complaining about that yet I still would leave the house without telling anyone, would just appear back home late at night to eat and sleep, when everyone saw there was nothing they could do about that, they just let me be.

Thanks to this awesome people.. I remain grateful as always

In February, I became sick and my mom was insisting I visited the hospital, but I was like what good would it do, I could just go to the pharmacy, get drugs and be be whole again, well I didn't visit the pharmacist either, I was eating well so the sickness didn't really show until one day, mom and dad had gone to work while my siblings had gone to school, I was the only one at home, I wasn't feeling too well, I couldn't eat nor move well, since the hospital was our family's private hospital, and dad already had health insurance in place for us all, I decided to use my card. I got dressed up and I started my journey to the hospital, on getting there, immediately I showed the registrar my card, I was asked to see the doctor, I explain how I was feeling, shortly after that, he wrote something's in a sheet of paper and told me to take it to the lab. Bloom was taken from me as the test was conducted, the result came out shortly and it was proven that I had malaria and typhoid.

How on earth did I get those two strong diseases in my body, this innocent boy, which is me, the doctor insisted that I have to get admitted but I refused, I was like, please just give me my drugs and let me head home, he said OK, that he would like to give me a dose of injection that would make me feel better cause I said I was unable to stand well and I want to go home. I was led to a private room, very fancy, with 3 beautiful nurse by my side😅😅, the nurse brought out the injection not knowing I was scared of needles, I was trying to act like a man, but my heart failed me, the other two nurses with their beautiful face held me down and I took the injection, I totally forgot to call or let anyone know I would be going to the hospital.

I thought the injection was to make me feel better instead, my eyes became heavy, I couldn't see well, feels like I was poison as I lay on the soft bed, I asked the nurse if I wouldn't sleep for too long, she said yes, and this was around 10am in the morning, by the time I would open my eyes it was 8.30pm in the night, I still wasn't feeling too good, took my phone to call home but I wasn't having airtime to make call, so I went on WhatsApp and drop a voice note for my sister saying "please call mommy and tell her I'm at the hospital, the family hospital" and I ended the voice note while talking with a cracky voice. My big head sister who was in another city at that time sent the voice note to all my family member😭😭

The surprise

Actually no body knew I was in the hospital, they all thought I had gone out and when I feel like I would be back, but on hearing the voice note, my mom was the first to get to the hospital, I didn't even notice when she entered, I just felt someone touch my face and checking on me, actually thought it was those nurse😁, immediately I opened my eyes and I saw my mom, I felt save again and started pretending like I was gonna die, she just showered me with so much love and care, shortly after my siblings where around and I was surprised to see the entire family in my room, they all thought I had accident because of the voice note my other sister sent, she also disturbed me with call throughout my stay in the hospital. Yeah I spent 3days in the hospital on my mom instructions.

In conclusion

Just like in my previous article, Health is Wealth, always take care of your health, also if you stay with family, always let the know your where about, don't act like a boss always, one day it might save your life. Let your family know where you're going and the kind of place they can find you even if they want to find you.

Funny enough malaria and typhoid is mostly what I am diagnosed with, am currently going through it now , though I have taken medications, I still do not feel too well so I'll be visiting the pharmacist tomorrow.
