Religion has done more harm than good

My thought is exactly how the topic implies, and i will tell you why.

recently i had a discussion with my friend and they way they talk only show how they have been brainwash by their religious leader stopping them to see the truth and how fast the world is developing.

This article isn't written to badmouth any religion, but its aim is to show you have religious people have cause more harm than good in the society we live in today.

in the world we live in, you can attest that nation or country with less religious believe or who are not way too religious are more developed and also developing than country that are more religious, the aim of religion is to preach peace to the world but this folks that call themselves preacher have blinded people with different believe that the people cant think for themselves, they only belief what is told to them by this preacher.

Most of the division in the world today is cause by religion, going to a country that is rich in culture and tradition, there are ways their religion allow them to dress, when you go to such country, you are to respect there culture, but many people will say, we don't do that way or act that way because they are told not to, and this will lead to conflict among them.

it sadden me to see division among the Muslim and the Christian, I'm not saying the Christian and Muslim are divided, I'm saying, the Muslim are divided among themselves and so is the Christian.

The two scenario that shock me about religion

I was talking to a Muslim friend, after much discussion, another Muslim friend came around to greet me, and they reaction they gave each other was very obvious they aren't friends, I asked him why did they reacted to a friend that way, and he said, "I'm not friends with him and can never be friend with him" I asked why, and he said " he is not a true Muslim, that there are two kinds of Muslim, the true Mohammed follower and the others, that's why they have Koran and Torah if i am right. I was amazed because I was thinking Islam isn't that complication like Christianity, but the other guy was a Muslim like you, the pray same way, so why hate on another brother because your religious leader told you to do so. All I know is that he has been blinded by the religion, and no matter what I say, he wouldn't compile

The second

I was in a café, and i had this two girls with me that are my friends, I'm a Christian and I was having a program in my church, so I decided to invite this friends of mine and their reply shock me more than anything that day, the girls go to same church and one of them said, our priest told us that it is a sin to attend another church. i was like, what do you mean, she said she cant come to my church, because it is a sin, till now I don't understand. the bible said we are all one in Christ, immediately you become a Christian and you believe in Jesus as the savior of the world genuinely, then we are one body in Christ, no tribe, no nation, no language should discriminate us. we are all one body in Christ, till now i cant understand how this people get themselves brainwash, but this isn't a topic for today. I will explain more on that in another article

another thing religious has done to this beautiful world is turning people against themselves and promoting, tribalism, nepotism, war, helplessness and more, people don't even want to work again, they believe if they go to church or mosque daily, that miracle will happen and God will just bring down a job for them. War cause by religion are the hardest war to end, you can take Boko Haram, Isis and many more for example, thousands of life where lost because this set of people believe they are more close to God and he gives them instruction to kill, like killing a fellow human means nothing to them

In some very religious state, Christian and Muslim see themselves as enemy, cause of how they interpret the Bible and Koran, some religious leader even go far to telling their followers not to help other people that are not in line with their religion, this is very sad, how do we want the world to grow and the suffering we have suffer end. A man share his story of how the terrorist attack them, and they were running for shelter, he ran into a mosque, because of his dressing, he was asked if he was a Muslim or not, he said not, and he was thrown out to be killed, were is our humanity, but we still have good people out there that help both Muslim and Christian camp in their mosque till the shooting was over and Muslim staying in church, until we understand that more bind us together than religion, we can never move forward.
