Pump, pump, pump...kin to squash🎃💥!! Yeeeha, pumpkin and squash season ahead... Red kuri squash and Jack Be Little, the mini-pumpkin, now available on Elpbuidl market 😁 My two favorites ever. Both have a firm tender flesh and a flavor of chestnuts and nuts. They are not as watery as the big pumpkins. Great versatile vegetables, they work well baked, roasted, stuffed, puréed or fried. Stuffed tomatoes for dinner... The stuffing is composed of sausage flesh, chopped beef meat, bread, eggs, fresh thyme, laurel leaves and garlic. Parsley is replaced here by amaranth leaves from my garden and chives that bring a much more interesting flavor. The other personal touch to wake up the taste buds is a trait of beer vinegar that I got at the artisanal brewer Joli Rouge👌 At the bottom of the dish before putting in the oven, I add rice that will absorb the juice... a pure delight😋 #BonAppetit! #Food

Happiest #Caturday ever! This is my emotional #Caturday true story... My friendly visitor 😺 reappeared on thursday evening as I was getting out of my car after my about 2 months of absence 😧 and his about 4 months of disappearance... He rewarded me with several affectionate slaloms between my legs, I cuddle him in return. My companion was as surprised as I was, he told me he never saw him around since his disappearance 🥲... Then he went away just as he could understand I had so much to handle on my arrival... On friday afternoon he came back and miaw to me as I appeared at the open window. He apparently had a lot of things to relate so he spent a rather long time staring at me while using different kinds of meadings and tremolos..👀🎶🎶🎵 All the doors and windows of my home were open but he would not allow him to enter, rather calling me to join him outside..! Thursday september 2... Car loading ✅ Cup of coffee ✅ So sad to say good bye to my Mom ✅ I really have to go, 8 hours drive to handle... I really have to go, go back home, work is waiting for me... Car being started ✅ Car being run, slowly, slowly, slowly... Last few moving words exchanged... Last sign of the hand from the open window of the car, until the silhouette of Mom disappears from my sight of the mirror... Gustative trip to... the French West Indies thanks to a friend 🤗😋✨ for bringing me...COLOMBO from Gwada Colombo powder is a spice mix from Guadeloupe (Gwada), Martinique, St. Martin, St. Barts and the smaller islands of Les Saintes, Marie-Galante, and La Désirade. With roots that go back to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, colombo powder always contains these four spices: coriander, chiles, garlic and turmeric. Then it varies from a local maker to another, so you can find bay rum tree, cinnamon, saffron, mustard seeds, pepper, cardamom, star anise, ginger, tamarind or cloves. Dedicated to @vagabondturnip Whaaaat, never heard of the Dahu...👀? If you go on the flank of a toothlike mountain, the best hike to do is ''in search of Dahu''. The dahu looks like the mountain goat but it is taller, horned and hooved. It grazes, craves salt and its bleat is more lugubriously melodious. Its most significant distinction from all other quadruped animals on the planet is the legs. The dahu’s legs on one side are about a foot and a half shorter than the dahu’s legs on the other side. As a result, it is able to navigate steep mountainous terrain as though it were flat. Short legs up, long legs down, the dahu goes around the mountain. Always in the same direction—clockwise🔂. As you can imagine, if it was to try to double back, the dahu would topple. Hopefully the dahu’s brain prevents it from even trying. In late summer, mating season, the plangent bleats of dahus transpierce the high mountain air🎶🎵. Now you know about the most famous creature of the mountain. My description here is from my own night hikes observations from France so the dahu can be different in your own high mountains. Ratatouille...! The secret of the ratatouille from the South of France? Fresh vegetables of the sun, zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant. Each cooked separately to flavor concentration and allow each vegetables’ natural sugars to caramelize at its proper time.
